The tiny mushrooms glance up at Creech, curiously tilting their heads. A new friend? In their shop?
Ophelia wipes away a few tears before taking another breath. A somer smile appears over her soft features.
She hated the idea of leaving them behind. All of them. However, she had just enough faith in Sacchetti to at least get Creech to safety. Should they have the neergy maybe they'll head back...
"You'd be in your every right to..."
"Physically, I am uninjured... However, I am working up the urge to stress bake..."
creech was spilled ass over elbow when the plants finally let her go , safe and sound back through ophelia's portal . her anger burns hot . she hadn't understood the scope of this , when she'd first been told about it , and she still didn't quite comprehend what was going on . but she knew that it put sacchetti at risk . it put pino at risk . it put noisette at risk and it put her goblin boyfriend at risk and so many other people --
and so , creecher paced like a wild animal , trapped in a cage . she peered at the door , now closed tight with the witch girl's back against it . and she didn't know where to put the remains of her anger . they smoldered , fueling fear and uncertainty . in the calm after the tempest , she could feel every one of her injuries . small hands rubbed at grubby face , forcing tears back down . nobody said you could come out .
another glance was cast to ophelia , to the little mushrooms that huddled around her . for a moment , a degree of softness crept in , like a concerned hand smoothing the hackles of that wild animal .

They shake and struggle, but still race toward the door, sending her right through it. Only then to they do they let her go. Ophelia comes flying through the door after them, shutting it behind her.
She collapses against it, panting heavily and tears falling from her cheeks. What was she thinking? Leaving him behind? What's done is done, and cannot be undone....
Her small mushroom friends, who had watched her adventures on the picture box, soon swarmed her with concern.
"Yes yes.... I'm okay.... "
you know , she was getting really tired of being pulled around , today . ophelia had to be quick on the draw , if she wanted to keep creech from bounding off after her beloved .
plants , though ? plants would work .
she had barely leapt when she felt roots and branches contort, twisting around her to hold her snug . how odd , when nature turns against you . you , who have been its caretaker . even if these weren't from home , surely they knew better than to abide a mortal's word , against her own desires .
❛ no -- w - wait -- !! ❜ hmm . no . those plants were doing a very good job of not giving a shit what creecher wanted , actually . of course she was going to struggle . that's just what creecher did ; bite and claw and resort to violence , for her own benefit . teeth sank into greenery , pulling uselessly at the tangle of foliage as the stadium's epicenter grew further and further away ..
