The sun went down so sorry about the change in lighting. It says "Black*" because he is SUPPOSED to be pitch black but I feel he turned to be more grey. Oh well, I think he still looks good, I do plan on making some of these digital so maybe I'll take a another picture with better lighting for side comparison. I'd love to hear some of your thoughts and which ones are your favorites. I really like how Keith and Shiro turned out, though I may be a bit bias, I like the composition of the pages together and I think proportionally they turned out the best. Keith was a pain to color though, you wouldn't think it since he's just all one color, but for it to look smooth and blended and not patchy or scratchy is a process, same went for Hunk as well. I also really like the one of Pidge wearing her glasses in the green diamond. AND, unlike the Keith where he's an Alaskan Klee Kai, he's got his scar! Though I made it more on his lip/muzzle than his actual jaw, didn't want to interfere too much of his beauty.

With my fanfic where Shiro and Keith turn into dogs I've obviously drawn plenty of them with Shiro being a Siberian husky and Keith a Alaskan Klee Kai; but I wanted to switch things up. With the second installment of the series still under construction, both Shiro and Keith will still be the breeds they were in Doggy Kisses, as of right now. I've drawn a couple of the scenes MONTHS ago but as far as writing I haven't gotten to where they turn into dogs yet, (which is what will happen in case you didn't know). But moving on since most of you probably could care less about my fic.

Since Shiro's white I had no issues with coloring, though like original dog Shiro I didn't bother drawing his robotic arm. The last one I find so funny! I'd like to think he's making that face because Slav is going on his tangents. Also, I think if Slav was a dog he'd TOTALLY be a dachshund, without a doubt!

Alright! I just finished Hunk and as said in my last post I'll be sharing what I've created in these last couple of days. I didn't do Coran or Allura though but maybe when I get a new sketchbook I'll do them again. Each character has their own page and I drew them 3 times so rather than having 20 pictures on one post each character will get their own post just for them. Since he was the last character I drew I figured he'd be the first to be seen :)

Coloring isn't my strong suit so it's expected that its patchy. This is the second time I've drawn Hunk, (and the rest of the Garrison trio) with a 10 month gap. What do you think, did I improve?

Since I have quite the collection of Shiro and Keith as dogs why not have a little fun with the rest of the gang as dogos? These were done back in July and August and one of the boys back in December that I'm not really fond of. A couple days ago I wanted to draw the boys as different dog breeds just for the fun of it, then it lead me to drawing the other paladins again. Hopefully I'll post those ones later today but I haven't drawn Hunk yet and he'll be on my last page of my sketchbook!

i was thinking this morning about how i categorize fanfic authors that i enjoy like AKC breeds and decided to share my rubric with you:

the specialist: this author has a favorite kink or trope and has written 80% of the content in that tag. you know exactly what you’re getting. they have A Brand™️. no matter what other traits they display, dedicated rare pair authors belong here.

the chocolate box: essentially the exact opposite. this author will try anything once. they have 80+ works in the fandom with no discernible pattern. the shortest one is 268 words and the longest is well over 100k. this breed of author may or may not be related to:

the renaissance fan: they’ve written three things in your fandom: your favorite fic, your notp, and a bizarre crossover with a show you’ve never heard of. you hit “expand fandoms list” on their author page and have to scroll down twice to reach the bottom. whenever you curse the fact that you can’t legally commission fic writers, this is the author you’re thinking about.

the horn dog: they’re here for one thing and one thing only. if someone’s dick is not in another character’s mouth within 500 words, they apologize for it in the author’s notes. they have one (1) g-rated fic.

the rookie: this writer is usually young, new to fandom, or just got a beta-reader for the first time. their fics are a little all over the place, quality-wise, but you’re excited whenever their name pops up because their unique voice gets stronger every time. you feel a personal investment in their development, like you’re an old man reading the local high school sports page and saying “this kid’s the one to watch.”

the live streamer: the most prolific author in the fandom. their works are all over the front page when you sort by kudos. you have no idea how they generate this much work, and have seriously wondered if they have access to an extra-dimensional time portal. their stories are usually un-beta’d and the characterization varies wildly, but their best works are inspired and you’ve read them 30 times.

the cryptid: this one comes out of nowhere every two years, drops the best fanfic you’ve ever read, and disappears. fifteen months after you left a three paragraph comment about how they changed your life, you get a message in your inbox that just says “thanks.”

the novelist: we talk about “filing off the serial numbers” when someone reworks their most popular story to pitch it as an original novel; this author somehow does the reverse. their fics are excellent, usually long-reaching multi-chapter AUs that have almost nothing to do with the on-screen characters except their names. i’d like to extend my personal thanks to this breed of author because it’s the closest i get to reading an actual book.

the reunion tour: this author wrote some of the most popular works in the fandom, but either moved on to k-pop or burned out when canon took a turn for the worse. they put out one new thing a year, often an old draft that’s been haunting them from under the floorboards. their last six author’s notes all say they never thought they’d write this pairing again and “this will probably be the last time.”

What's this? My art that isn't Doggy Kisses?! This is from my fic "Living the Wolf Life", I did these back in December and these are just outlines and might tweak the design. Plus I'm scared to color their coat pattern 😅. Also the Keith ones he's aged up than he currently is in the fic: top one he's 6, right 4, and left age 2.

Here's yet another post relating to my fic Doggy Kisses. When writing it all those months ago had quite fun writing the scene where Shiro and Keith run away to avoid getting blood drawn. With Shiro's part I was inspired by this video which, ironically, has a husky in it just like Shiro is. I first saw this in a Jacksepticeye video and found it so hilarious. Found the original video. I had planned on making art for this scene a while ago but always struggled; but I finished the piece like 2 days ago so here it is. I hope I get to make it digital in the future.
