Magnolia had hung out at the booth for the veterinary clinic she owned with some of the other vets who worked in her office for a majority of the morning after the fall fest parade. She had been set to meet up with someone as a date and was really looking forward to spending some time with him. Now I am aware of the trauma between the two that happened 13 years ago, but out of respect for everyone the will not see that pairing from me anymore.

This is going to sound stupid, and I apologize for being so uninformed. But I had no idea that they were even married. I only knew that they were in a show together.

Needless to say, that unexpected run-in with Cassandra had caused Alex to wonder if there was such a thing as fate. If not, then how else could two childhood best friends have seen each other multiple times during the week, only to reunite after all those years. Perhaps, there was a reason why he had been forced to come back home. After her movie was over, and Rosemary had fallen asleep on the couch thanks to the alcohol, Ben set a trash can beside the couch before going to bed; leaving the clean up for the next day. He’d been awake for several hours before he heard Rose stirring, and when he went out into the living room, she looked like hell. “Morning, sleeping beauty. On a scale from one to ten, how awful do you feel? “Oh yeah, though I’m blessed that the two of them haven’t really delved into relationships, Lucy has been with her boyfriend for a year and Peter has had a boyfriend or two but really hasn’t stayed around in a relationship. I’m just glad there’s no teen pregnancy.” She shucked, keeping herself close to him. “I think chief wants me on graveyard, he’s got a newborn and needs to be home at night, I’ll be going in around 7pm till 7 am. So it can work well, plus I manage to sneak naps in when on long shifts when I can anyway.” She smiled up to Ben. “Are you staying in your own place or at your parents?”
