On the road again
My lover by my side
Ignoring the red lights
Just enjoying the ride
Every sign points to danger
The paint’s a chipped and faded red
Just keep driving forward
This ride ends when I’m dead
We careen off a cliff
The impact’s coming soon
For now gravity hasn’t taken me

Chained in a basement
The smell of mold and must in the air
You pull against your restraints
You’ve awakened again inside of his lair
Thoughts race, plans form
You ready yourself for another pull and then
The telltale creaks make you stop…
You hear him coming down the stairs again
Each step deliberate
He knows how it sounds
The fear rises in you
You’ve already lost so many pounds
He snakes and he slithers
To the space next to your bed
Twice today he’s visited
Yet he still doesn’t feel fed
He looks in your eyes
An instant, deep trance
The harder you try not to
The more you feel the romance
He pulls and he pulls
Until he can’t pull any further
Your mind has unraveled
You are now his server
He bares his fangs
And that’s when you know
It’s over for you
Maybe tonight he will let you go
It almost feels good
When he’s drinking the blood from you
You’re serving a purpose
Isn’t this what you’re meant to do?
He needs me, he needs me
The ever comforting lie
Without me, he would almost certainly die
