This reminds me of It's a hard life. In the MV, Freddie even let Brian to be his grim reaper.

There's just something about the subtle journey of the Mercury-May partnership from Save Me to Mother Love, and it has to do with Freddie trusting Brian to be his voice. Save Me could've been a collaboration, but Freddie wanted Brian to finish it on his own. Freddie expressed his feelings to Brian by singing "Save me, save me" and allowed Brian to tell that story of personal heartbreak for him, in a delicately unspoken way that just blows my mind. Fast forward a decade and Freddie, who is dying, goes to Brian and basically says, "I want you to be the one who writes the last words I sing. I need it to be you."

And that kills me.

Some fans of this band love that Freddie entrusted his last resting place and his belongings to a certain person. But those same people fail to realize that Freddie entrusted his musical voice, a thing that was arguably much more precious than any material place or object, to Brian.

Freddie wanted Brian to be the one to help him close off his musical life. Granted, he didn't know for sure that Mother Love would be the last song he sang (and he didn't know that there would be another album released after his passing), yet he knew it could be, and he made certain that it was Brian who wrote his last notes. People can go on and on about inheritance and other legal shit, but the fact of the matter is that Freddie left his voice and his musical life in Brian's hands.

So yeah, excuse me for sounding like a broken record, but Freddie loved Brian, and people who hate that can cry about it.
