I wish I had tasted my grandmas nasi goreng - my dad said it was her best dish, she learnt from her mother

I wish I had seen he all dressed up - my dad said she was always the most beautiful in the room, dazzling in her evening gowns

I wish I had seen heard her laugh as she won again at golf - my dad said she was the best in the club, everyone was jealous

But most of all I wish she hadn’t chased my dad with that golf club - my dad told me about his bruises and the holes in his door

Bookish vent ✨I just need to vent about this because everyone who I have talked to about this has shut me down…

I never use tags or anything on a book before but I thought I would give it it try. So I did it with chalice of the gods. It took me a while to put the tags and little comments. I was supper excited to show my friends. But they started making fun of me immediately. Sure a little teasing is fine but they kept at it. “Percy Jackson doesn’t know you are adding tags. What are you doing?” “Why are you studying it like a textbook. Why do kids these days always ruin things.” I felt so embarrassed. I’m a lot younger than my friends and I always feel so anxious. Like I don’t fit in. And this really messed with my head.
