Top two best writing tips you ever got

One would be write down everything. What I mean by this is, if you have scene that comes later in your story and you haven't gotten to that part yet, write it down anyways.

Ending scene you think would be great? Write it down, even if you haven't started the beginning.

I find that even if your notes or scenes or whatever else it is doesn't fit into your story like you thought it would, it doesn't mean it's not still some use to you.

Use it for another story where that scene fits better. Character didn't work for that story? I bet they're perfect for another. The ending didn't make sense, after all? Don't erase it completely just yet! Tweak it a bit and if it still doesn't fit? Could be useful for something else.

Number two is don't be afraid to write. Even if you don't post your story, don't be afraid to write it.

Think you're bad? Who said you can't practice and get better? Hell, if others already think your writing is good?

Think your story will be like another? There are so many stories, from fanfics to "award-winning" novels that use the same tropes over and over. What makes your story unique is that it came from you. You forged those words together with your hands and imagination.

Don't be afraid to write because you just never know. It could be your gift!

leafstar was such a wasted opportunity man. why tf are you making a big deal about a new clan who does things their own way if thats not the whole point. leafstar lived in a loose community her whole life, she should stand opposite to clan traditions. welcoming, well-meaning, peaceful first but unafraid to defend herself. she should be the one keeping daylight warriors on and defending them with no shame, because even if theyre not there at night, theyre still extra paws to feed the clan during the day, and they bring useful knowledge too. she should be the one allowing loners to pass through the territory unharmed as long as they dont attack skyclan.

remember that part in skyclan and the stranger where a character gets eyedrops from a twoleg which heals her faster than herbs would? skyclan should be pulling stuff like that. taking left out kittypet food in leaf-bare, using twoleg coats and blankets for their dens.
