Just gonna revive this dead account. I also have a Twitter, Wolfdude8. My insta is wolf_dude_8 if you want to check that out too.
Yeah, someone mentioned it on insta that I should, and I discussed it with my cister. And she said that it wouldn't really be that different since aside from the magic system/schools and geography, it pretty much was my own little world lol. So, I did what the scientists at Jurassic Park should've done and considered not just if I could, but if I should. And here we are.
I'll still upload this even though I'm considering branching off the characters to be separate from the Owl House. I mean, as my cister said when I mentioned the idea to her, "Aside from the magic schools/system and the Day of Unity, everything you've shown is all stuff you made up". I've gotten started on some potential new world building written down in Microsoft Word, even. It's funny, yesterday I was so sure, but today I'm feeling conflicted. It's probably because some things will have to be similar to the show and I've already been accused of copying other people before (and really don't wanna deal with stuff like that again). Maybe I'm just overthinking things, though. Definitely wouldn't be the first nor last time lol.
I thought it'd be a fun idea to do tier lists when I don't have art/comics to show. Starting with my favorite childhood movie: Jurassic Park. I'll share my thoughts on each thing as shortly as possible.
Jurassic Park: 10/10. Nostalgic, but still holds up today.
Jurassic Park 3: 8/10. I like the characters and plot better than The Lost World (RIP best man Udesky).
Camp Cretaceous: 7/10. It has its flaws and weird plot points (like robot dog things), but I also really love the characters and their dynamics with each other. Also, it has gay people.
Jurassic World: 6/10. I like Claire (of course, she's a redhead) and Owen. The main villain's plan is DUMB, but I feel like it's not TOO unrealistic. I mean, humans love their illusion of having control, especially over wild animals. Definitely the best Jurassic World movie.
The Lost World: 4/10. I hate how everyone brushes off Ian's (reasonable) concerns, even knowing what he went through in Jurassic Park. I hate how Sarah is an expert with animals, yet she makes so many odd decisions. Why would she think it's okay to touch a stegosaurus baby? Why did she not think to even simply WASH the dang baby blood jacket? Expert my ass. The only saving grace for this film was Ian Malcolm and the humor.
Fallen Kingdom: 3/10. I honestly don't remember this movie that much. I just find it so ridiculous that two grown ass adults let a CHILD dictate the fate of the world. They didn't even try to correct her horrible decision. There's a reason children are the future and not the present, I'm just saying.
Dominion: 2/10. It's a good movie when you turn off your brain. But once you turn it on, you realize nothing in this film makes ANY sense. I could go on for hours about it, just know the science and logic in this film is the most ridiculous out of all of the films. The only things I liked were the found family thing going on with Claire, Owen, and Maisie, and the OG cast coming back (but I wish the film gave them something better to do).
I had these sitting on my computer for about 2-ish years, give or take. I was going to just redraw them and not show the old ones, but then I decided it'd be neat to see how different they'd look.
