A couple of WIPs I am working on - I have even more than these ... I am so scatter-brained and often frustrated with my artwork that I never end up finishing them, so I thought I should maybe at least share a few WIPs :") Hoping I *can* finish them sometime. Alas! Romencken my beloved, my beloved Romencken ... I have many strong feelings for these two, and it's lovely to be very into something again. I'm also thankful for everyone who write fanfiction for these two because those fuel my passion even further! <3<3<3

My fourth entry for 2024's Romencken week, for the prompt "weapon". The quote that is included in this piece is by Franz Kafka, an excerpt from a letter to his lover Milena. It's a quote that instantly stuck with me when I first read it as an angsty, goth-y teenager and it came to mind again when I thought about Roman, Jeryd and weapons. Enjoy!

My entry for the 5th day of Romencken Week, "dog". This motive was pretty much a no-brainer, but in the end, I drafted quite a few pieces until I was okay enough with one of them to finish it. I don't know why that is, but it happens again and again that I end up struggling the most with very "easy, obvious" prompts ... anyway, enjoy!

This is my entry for the third day of Romencken Week 2024, prompt "(serial) killer". This entry is sadly a little late because RL was kind of kicking my ass, sorry! :"3 I instantly knew I wanted to draw these two for the "(serial) killer" prompt. Something about them covered in some poor unsuspecting victim's blood just seems very right to me. I like to imagine that Mencken would be the one to teach Roman the ropes, as they say. I also figure them to be knife guys. Drawing this was loads of fun - I drew a lot more bloody motives when I was much younger, and it's still such a weirdly good time. Anyways, hope you enjoy!

This is my entry for the second day of Romencken Week 2024, prompt "wound/injury".

I enjoy the concept of characters being injured (both physically and emotionally) a lot and how that plays into their relationship with each other. I find Roman's relationship with pain especially intriguing in canon, so I naturally gravitated toward this prompt. Enjoy!

(twt link) There are more details and a FAQ in the AO3 collection, but the idea is to create fanworks (writing, art, edits, collages, etc) inspired by the prompts and post them on the corresponding days with the tag #romenckenweek and (if they're uploaded to AO3) add them to the collection. Late submissions are allowed and you don't have to fill them all, just one is fine if that's all you feel or are able to do. I got very into HBO's "Succession" lately, feel extremely hard for Roman Roy, and of course, gravitated towards the most problematic pairing this series has to offer (meaning, him and Mencken). Just, y'know, girl things.
