Another favourite interaction in the game.

I love Gale and Karlach, they have a really sweet friendship and the care they share for one another is one of the best dynamics in the game.

I like to think that regardless of the outcome of Karlach’s story, so long as he remains human, he still makes the Cleaver. If she dies he keeps it as a reminder of her, and as a reminder to keep his promises. If she goes to the hells, he takes it to Wither’s Party and presents it too her, teaches her the words that make it work.

Karlach is delighted, and returns to the Hells (with Wyll or Tav) and uses it as an awesome distraction. First the axe dances, enemies are mesmerised by this strange axe and then ruthlessly murders everyone on her hit list.

Karlach’s Kinetic Cleaver becomes almost as famous as she does.

(hot take, Gale and Cave Johnson getting lunch together goes frighteningly well)

I'm notoriously bad at videogames so Portal 2 was the first game ever finished lmao. I like the portion of the game where Chell is in the ruins of the old science labs and having to work her way back to the functional facility, I think it's just a really fun way to establish story and worldbuild, with all the stuff it gives you for solving the final confrontation.

I don't have any thoughts on Caroline/GLaDOS except... evil lady robot hot voice. Kinda girlboss of her to delete her conscience so she can continue being sexy tbh.

I think that if you put GLaDOs, Astarion, and Shadowheart at a lunch table together, something very evil and competent would be born and no one else's self-esteem would make it out of the cafetaria intact.

Alternatively, just default!Tav and Chell vibing mutely at a table together actually. They share headphones and don't talk.

Oh my goodness, this is both going to be very silly but also very revealing lmao. I'm sorry they're not bg3!! I am saving up my big fandom deep dive for when my wips are finished.

Every letter that you write me by othellia (Spike/Buffy) - I love soulmate AUs generally but this was the first fanfic I literally ever read. It updated for the first time in 3yrs a week after I read it so I got the full serotonin experience instantly and I was hooked.

Pride by astolat (Jaime/Cersei/Brienne) - look. I am a Jaime/Brienne shipper at heart. But this is so hot, ok. It had no right being this hot!

The Crown of the Summer Court by astolat (Merlin/Arthur). I never watched Merlin and as such am not a Merthur shipper. I enjoyed this fic for the same reason I enjoy Emily Wilde - well written faerie shit.

Beholding the GDPR by shinyopals (The Magnus Archives) - look. I love fanfic. Sometimes fanfic is about romance, sometimes it's about sex. Sometimes, it's about institutionalising data protection laws at your eldritch workplace. This is, in my honest opinion, one of the best examples of what fic is capable of (and at one point, GDPR was literally my job so-)

A Convenient Arrangement by DemonSaya (Jareth/Sarah) - fake dating forced proximity done so well. Also really big shout out to Come As You Aren't by PaintedGlass bc also... hot.
