Do you have any tips on creating OC’s?😝

It kinda takes me forever to create ocs since I usually just design them when an idea randomly hits me. I’d say look for inspiration, reference characters you like and what you like about them, and experiment with design try making multiple versions before deciding what you land on. Also I try to choose some sort of theme, be it genre or a more vague concept (example: I use is nostalgia a lot) Not great at explaining sorry :[
