Mary hears the flute In January 2013, I brought home a Lab-weiler from a farm at 6 weeks old. She was from a pack of nine with a black Rottweiler mother and a yellow Lab father. The breeders let me choose a puppy when they were three weeks old and asked that she be picked up at 6 weeks - I think I stretched it to 7 weeks - I was uncomfortable but agreed. I named her Mary after my godmother Mary Oemler. When I got her home, I insisted on playing for her because I needed her to bond with the sound of the #‎flute. She did... and now she sits at the end of my flute and gazes out the window or sleeps. Cameo appearance by Lillian, the black lab. Mary is now two years old.
