Children when scarred call out to their parents, teen and adults to this too.
Val doesnt, he knows neither will come help him so he doesnt try. He deals with the issues head-on because he literally has no one to fall back to untill he meets spelldon and Whisp, yet he still calls no ones name because it's been beaten into him that no matter how loud he screams they won't care and they won't come.
They get into fights a lot because Val can't accept that they are here and he can count on them but he doesn't and mostlikey never will 🥲

Val and spell remind me of pen and Colin from Bridgerton but only the way it took them so long to figure out the other liked them
SPOULERS FOR SEASON THREE
Colin only really falls in love with her because he's helping her to find a sitter to marry and pen has always liked him from the beginning
I feel like because Val was love at first sight and spell wasn't that they would go through a similar process 
Example being Val accidently putting a spell on someone bear by out of shock and he has to act like their dating for a bit and it makes spells iqor boil to see it.

You can tell who at the vet or animal shelter git them used to company again because the monster teaches the animal a trick that the monster does themselves
( randoms names)
Avery- how to bow
Kieran( valentine)- teaches them how dance ( swaying hips and bouncing on their feet)
Spelldon( who volunteers)- how to walk in two paws, both front and back paws
Mas- how to hopscotch
Fiz- twril like a royality
Des- how to walk in a square
The manager- common tricks
All the animals have a complex of being treated like the best and like princesses or princes

I know in cannon Val has dad that we never saw but what if he had to run away from hunters and couldn't find his wife and son again? Like he would be one step behind them but in a completely different state or so?
If so then maybe he was the good dad that Val needed but wasn't able to have?
Hc that his father was his comfort and that he didn't go with gender roles back when he was with them and Val felt comfortable sharing things with him more then his mother?
What if his father finds Val after almost 1500 years to see him with a witch boy and he's happier than he was back in AD??????????

Gaia is the goddess of the earth and when she was tired she slept in the center of the earth and her husband Cronus, when he was killed by Zeus to save his brothers and sisters, he was sent back into the sky as like a spirit so his body wasn't a thing anymore.
I think it would be the same with Helios, he would probably turn into the sun or is like the sun in his body trmapture and as its been stated, he glowed like the sun. He thinks that the world revolves around him so technically he is the sun to some extent ig

I went to Shanghai's planetarium a few weeks ago and thought 'wow! Spelldon would be def be interested in this and astronomy!' and then I realised; In the MH world, Helios exists, Helios is the sun. So if MH astronomy was the same as irl astronomy how would it affect the greek gods in MH??

Spelldon likes vocal stims more then physical stims
Vocal stims he does
• hums
• whistles
• chatters his jaw or teeth
• says words he really likes at the moment
• sings
• lays on Val's lap and makes him pats his back while he speaks or hums ( this is so fun and it feels so good)
• speaking lines from books or poems that he or someone read to him
Physical stims he does
• plays with his sisters hair, hands, etc
• he chews on herbs him mother gives him
• taps a beat on anything near him ( Vals the common victim)
• writes and draws on everything ( his mother makes him skrub him bedroom walls a lot)
• shaking limbs; arms, hands, legs, feet
• folding lose parts oh clothes
• rocking back and forth
• scratching at his skin or anything he can get his hands on
• rubbing his hands on different textures ( give him one of those fabric books and he'll lose it )
Things I think he does in general
• laying on people ( his mother could only get him to sleep on her back till he was 7)
• moving 247
• sing out like no tomorrow
• plays with people's hair
• can't keep his hands to himself ( ofc he asks beforehand)
• fidgets with his necklaces, rings, and hair accessories
• chomps his jaw ( he does this with Val cus its one of his :p)
• eats plants he finds and knows won't get him sick

Me: ah yes, he has mommy issues, daddy issues, self-esteem issues, war veteran, chronically depressed and anxious, he's got 2 friends, closeted gay, has internalised homophobia, has 54 diff accents, self-deprecating humor, don't know how to love properly, can't recieve love from others, can't make decisions, can't take critisism, can't handle change, is kinda pathetic, oh and he hates cheese
Canon Spelldon: Casta's brother, made Valentine fall for him just by existing
Me: right, he also has self-esteem issues, constantly compares himself to Casta, hates labels because he was constantly called 'Casta's brother' and 'the other one' growning up, always trying to prove himself, he's punk and autistic because I said so, socially awkward, silently panics, nerd, introverted, 10 diff special interests that does not relate to one another in any shape or form, he doesn't fear anything, fear fears him, thinks too damn much
yes I stay awake all night thinking about then, yes it's a problem
