I think the funniest thing about this hug is that it pretty much entirely looks like Quentin is experiencing all of the horrors tm and allowing Eliot to hug him vaguely because his body and his mind are on two parallel planes of existence right now. Like he looks utterly uncomforted and barely even aware of the hug at all. EXCEPT! For his little hand on Eliot's back. Like the angle of the shot makes it so that Eliot could so easily be hugging Q while Q stands there disassociating with both arms down by his side, but INSTEAD Q's hand is juuuust poking into the shot, and it changes the tone of the hug from "You are hugging me and I am just kinda here" to "I kinda only have the emotional capacity to just kinda be here right now, but thanks for the hug. Is it ok for me to wander through the labyrinth of chaos my mind has devised in my head but like, in your arms for a bit? We still good to hang out while I disassociate into the void?"
And Eliot's smug, loving little smirk on top of Q's head like "Heh, he still wants to hang out with me while disassociating into the void <3"
Also, you are so right describing Eliot's vibe as soothing a toddler for nap time.
absolutely obsessed with this. quentin's put upon expression. the fact that he is the perfect height for being held to eliot's chest. the weird one armed hug because he's both miserable for outside reasons and possibly a little jealous? how he has to go up on his grumpy lil tippy toes for a kiss. eliot's absolute ease with embracing his friend/long term crush both romantically and like he is soothing a toddler for nap time. exquisite 10/10

In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.
I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!
From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!
I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.
The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.
(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)
If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.
The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.
insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box
add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box
delete -> self explanatory
on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic
The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.
Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

For those of you like me who totally missed it: Hale Appleman performed in an auditory production of the Tempest! The tickets are 10 bucks for you to listen to as many times as you like before the end date, and the final day for purchasing and listening was extended to March 16.
I started listening last night: you can hear him singing 3D around your head and the whole production is pretty darn gorgeous! There's also a behind the scenes interviews thing included with the tickets that I haven't check out yet.

Ok, I am so far behind in the rewatch that it is genuinely comical, and I DEFINITELY want to be a part of the festivities come s3e5 so... I'm just gonna skip ahead to catch up with everyone actually 😂 Wish I had done it during season 2 -- I have thoughts about season 2 -- particularly I have thoughts about 💕FEN💕, and also Niffin Alice -- but I REFUSE to miss my chance to watch season 3 -- possibly The season of any show ever -- with you lovely folks to scream with! I am so incredibly late to the party on this one! But! I was so incredibly honored to be invited!!! @eliotqueliot tagged me, and this was the first time I have EVER been tagged in something like this, so even though my response is late to a degree of insanity, please know that it literally filled me with an explosion of joy that I was thought of and included 💕
Ok, Rules: In a new post, post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it! and then tag as many people as you have WIPs. Buckle in folks, I have SO many.
I'm keeping it just to The Magicians, but if anyone would like me to repeat this process with other fandoms I am in but not primarily focused on right this moment (like Merlin or TMA, both of which I have pretty solid handfuls of fics in the works for that I will get around to eventually) feel free to ask! 1: I need someone to send me the videos and edits of Q and Margo being BEST FRIENDS that I for some reason cannot find for the life of me.

3. I need someone to teach me how to obtain scene packs, how to download them, and at least partially how to edit them. Also how to download songs for the same purpose.
