Liu Kang: Kitana, when I said about meeting under different circumstances, I didn't mean this... I wish there was a better time.

Kitana: Liu Kang, as long as we are together, any circumstances are good for me.

Liu Kang: But becoming rulers of the Netherrealm? Do you hear how twisted it sounds? Rule Hell itself? What have we become?

Kitana: Just because we are taking Shinnok's place, it doesn't mean we have to be like him. Just because it's called Hell, doesn't mean it should be like one. Maybe it was our destiny, Liu, maybe we are here to make Netherrealm a better place. You are the kindest man I've ever known, there is no doubt in me that together we can make things better, not just for both of us, but for others as well.

Liu Kang: Ever since Quan Chi died, I started getting my real memories back and my real emotions about these memories as well. I still can't believe all the atrocities we had to commit in the name of a fallen Elder God...

Kitana: That is also why we should do this, Liu. It might be our chance to undo our mistakes, to help others who went through something like we did to redeem themselves. You taught me that yourself, you didn't killed me when I tried to kill you on the tournament. You always looked for better in people, wanting to give them a chance to become a force for good, you are a hope for others that there is a better way, no matter what kind of past a person had. This is one of the many reasons I love you so much and I will help you on your way, you are not alone here.

Liu Kang: Thank you, Kitana, for believing in me. You are right, if we can overcome this corruption and regain our former selves back for good, then there is hope for others to be saved too. I'm glad I have you by my side.

Kitana: And I'm glad I have you, Liu Kang. I couldn't ask for more. What happens next is up to us. You might be not hero of Earthrealm now, but you are my hero, our hero, your good will is not limited by one Realm. I wish once we can reshape Netherrealm, maybe we can save my home Realm too...

Liu Kang: I promise you this, Kitana, we will save Edenia and we will get out of this corrupted form, all of us.

Kitana: Thank you. I don't remember Edenia at all and I hope you would share my excitement to see it for the first time with my truly own eyes... And maybe remain there, together?

Liu Kang: My home is where you are, Kitana.

*Liu Kang and Kitana share a hug that lasts for few minutes, then they looked into each others eyes, thinking about how long they have waited to have a moment like that together, then they finally entered the coronation hall, where former queen Sindel was ready to announce new rulers of the Netherrealm*

*after Dark Raiden scene*

Liu Kang: Kitana, I think Edenia will have to wait. Earthrealm is in danger and my master too, but he doesn't know this yet. I can't allow Raiden to become something like we were once.

Kitana: I understand, Liu. Don't worry, Mileena and Jade already in Outworld, they can look for a way of Edenia's freedom for now.

Liu Kang: You know, I'm surprised you allowed Mileena to return.

Kitana: There was a man, who once gave a chance to an assassin become a better person, even though she tried to kill him. He taught me that everyone deserves a chance, especially now that I experienced myself what it is like to be a misguided monster, I think I can help Mileena to become someone I can call sister, she is half Edenian after all, this part should count for something.

Liu Kang: *smiles* I'm glad that man gave you such a valuable lesson.

Kitana: He gave me much more than that.

Liu Kang: I'm sure he felt mutual with the assassin girl *chuckles*.
