nobuddy feels like they have a sharp attention span these days, right? and we all just click “agree on terms of service” because its hard to love yourself sometimes, well
enter Terms of Service, Didn’t Read: a website and a browser addon that streamlines the terms of service of many popular web services to be read by the tech sunday drivers.
It’s graded from A (great) to E (awful) and if you have the addon you have access to the info about the website on your bar
I regret to inform you that Discord's new Terms of Service includes an arbitration clause. You can find it here https://discord.com/terms/#16. This clause includes an opt-out, which I have transcribed here:
You can decline this agreement to arbitrate by emailing an opt-out notice to [email protected] within 30 days of April 15, 2024 or when you first register your Discord account, whichever is later; otherwise, you shall be bound to arbitrate disputes in accordance with the terms of these paragraphs. If you opt out of these arbitration provisions, Discord also will not be bound by them.
These clauses are underhanded ways that corporations seek to deprive you of your right to participate in class-action lawsuits and your right to a jury trial. (This does only apply to us users ,other people still spread the word though )
So, my spouse has been exploring his gender lately; he also just built himself a new laptop. Today he told me that he in an attempt to process some genderfeels through metaphor, he made a post on a trans forum along the lines of: "I'm a lifelong Windows user and I think I'm pretty good at it. I want to find out what Linux has to offer but I'm afraid I wouldn't be any good at it. And how do you choose the right Linux distro, anyway? Do you have to try them all?"
The responses, he said, were a mix of useful advice about feeling out your gender and useful advice about choosing a Linux distro.
Also, what do y'all think of the colors? I've made a color pallet that I'm gonna use across all my art that only has 46 colors and I'm really liking it but I'm also looking for feedback.
A poem by Kai Cheng Thom, as it appears in Queer Little Nightmares: An Anthology of Monstrous Fiction and Poetry, that reads:
ON THE ORIGIN OF TRANS FEMMES
for Meredith Russo
we are the daughters
of witches
that they could and did burn
we are the daughters of witches
that they are still burning
& you know
in my dreams, a woman
keeps whispering:
keep going
maybe in the next lifetime
we’ll make it to the water
So this is a difficult post to make, but content is basically out the window now. An anti-trans bathroom bill was passed in my state, so I have to focus on saving up the money to leave my state, and I can't do that while focusing on content. I'm still gonna stream occasionally and keep working on my hardcore world, but videos and streams will be very infrequent. I wish I could continue but it's just not safe to be here anymore. Thanks for understanding y'all 💜
