Anything Norse myth flavored? I've been reading Lyra Wolf's books and while I like the story in general there's something about the style that I just can't quite vibe with. Preferably not romance but if there's some romance in the bigger story it not a deal breaker.
I loved The Seafarer's Kiss by Julia Ember, though it is a romantic fantasy for sure. Here are a few I haven't read but might do the trick:
