my liveblogging experience is the only thing i remember about tdotl except for an overwhelming amount of screaming and also death:

This ball was supposed to commemorate the first decade of peace after almost a century of fighting. Eachan Meritorious had grandly called it the Requiem Ball to indicate that, yes, it was a celebration of Mevolentās defeat, but also a way of honouring those who had fallen to keep the world safe from the Faceless Ones and the likes of Serpine and Lord Vile. Meritorious, Grand Mage of the newly-rebuilt Irish Sanctuary, had made an appropriately thoughtful and respectful speech, the two minute silence had been observed, and then the dancing and the drinking had begun. After all, they were alive; they had survived a decade in what wasnāt exactly peace, but it was a truce at least. And that was certainly something to celebrate.
Happy TDOTL release date! Happy Requiem Ball! Hereās a Vex/Rue fic to celebrate both, featuring all the other Dead Men, set during the first Requiem Ball after the war.
I wrote this for nefarians, who asked for Dexter and Saracen hooking up for the first time in ages and sneaky hallway fucking. I did my best. By the way, if you want music for the first Requiem Ball, hereās the accompanying fanmixĀ I made recently.
