A long abandoned cabin somewhere in the southern end of the San Rafael Swell. Nobody seems to know anything about it or that it even exists. It’s in pretty good shape. We like to camp here.

We headed to the southern end of the San Rafael Swell for the annular solar eclipse on October 14, 2023. Shot on a very old iPhone SE first generation. Camera sensor sucks, there were clouds, but check the lens flare.

On the border of Colorado and Utah, driving on old US 6. The old Highway has been abandoned and is no longer maintained on the Utah side.

Our most important tools… being a desert rat requires special equipment. On the left is “Hot Lips”, a 1990 YJ. She goes places! On the right is “Juicy Boy” aka “El Niño Jugoso”, a 1991 YJ. His wide tires are great in snow and sand.
