a life update... i guess??

hey, remember me? yeah u probably forgot about me. but that’s ok, i’ve been gone a long while.

anyway, i just wanted to let anyone who’s still interested know that i’m still around i guess? i haven’t been active at all because a certain gentleman (lorenzo, the boy from the albert docks) came flying back from sicily, and we’ve been living together ever since. i’m very happy.

i hope everyone here is well! feel free to tell me how ur doing!!

i’m genuinely thinking of leaving tumblr—and here’s why

3 weeks ago my sister got hit by a car. she was in intensive care. she could have died.

i shared this with you, you over my friends in real life. i wasn’t expecting fucking balloons or anything, but honestly the amount of support i was offered was kind of appalling. only two people (u know who u r x) reached out to me. i have over 250 followers and only two could take the time to send me their wishes.

i guess this whole thing has made me realise i’m not as intergrated into a community as i once thought, and it kind of upset me. people who i go out of my way to support, on a regular basis, offered me absolutely nothing in my time of need. it reminds me too much of my real life, and that’s not what this is about.

i’ll need some time to think about it, but honestly, i’m pretty upset.

i did this because i feel like a lot of people don’t like know or haven’t read my fics on here and uno i love to talk about them

taken from the upcoming chapter in don’t call me angel:

marla stood, slack jawed for a minute, before her face caught up with her mind; her chin trembled and her face crumpled into red hot tears that sent her into such a panic that she couldn't breathe. nixon's hands were on her shoulders, pulling her into him, shushing, but to his surprise marla pushed him away. she felt betrayed. how could he, the one person she'd trusted, do this to her? the anxiety in her tears burned away, and it was replaced with sheer resentment. "i can't see him!"

"look, sobel will be there, and hester, and me—"

"you'll like him! he's good at that!" she was sobbing so hard she couldn't see. the slap nixon gave her across the face came as even more of a shock that it should have. marla instantly stopped crying. the slap hadn't hurt by any means, it was gently done, but she could have applauded nixon in that moment, as the shock took over from her anxiety. "get yourself together, marla. you're not going anywhere. i promise."
