Capt. Stephen “Steve” Rogers (1914-2022)
Perhaps better known for his identity as Captain America, Stephen “Steve” Rogers was a true hero. Rogers joined the US Army in World War II and was experimented upon, becoming the world’s first super-soldier. Rogers, along with his Howling Commandos, would go on to save countless lives during the war until Rogers tragically sacrificed his own safety for that of the greater world by crashing an airplane into a tundra. Recovered about 70 years later, Rogers continued to combat the forces of evil for the remainder of his life, becoming a founding member of the Avengers group which has saved so many people. Rogers passed peacefully into eternal life on March 29, 2022, joining his parents, Joseph and Sarah Rogers, as well as his love Peggy Carter, and many others. On Earth he has and will continue to leave an impact on all those he came into contact with, especially best friends James Buchanon “Bucky” Barnes and Sam Wilson. His reach is tremendous and the world is in mourning as the Earth has just lost one of her mightiest, and purest, heroes. All that he embodied, we will carry on, and though he is no longer alive, his impact will be felt for years to come.
“The price of freedom is high, it always has been. And it’s a price I’m willing to pay. And if I’m the only one, then so be it. But I’m willing to bet I’m not.”
- Stephen Rogers

- the thing (nov 1961-aug 2020)
“The Thing” (Benjamin Grimm) was a renowned superhero and member of the Fantastic Four. Known as much for his strength and character as he was for his catchphrase “its clobberin time”, Grimm died on August 17, 2020. Grimm served in the Air Force and made an impact everywhere he went. He leaves behind Susan and Johnny Storm and Reed Richards, the three remaining members of the Fantastic Four, as well as a brother and many friends from his community. He joins his parents and brother Daniel Grimm in Heaven.
