Fable SMP has been an experience that has genuinely changed my life, in ways. I know I only came into it during the final season, but I was around before then too, and I adore this series, or project, or whatever you want to call it, from so many angles. First as a friend, and a fan, and finally now a collaborator, and a creator. I have gotten to work with some of my best friends, and made so many more in the process. It has genuinely been an honour and a privilege to work with so many amazing, talented, kind and creative people over my time in this space. I have learned skills and passions that I never knew I would, and it dragged me out of a creative rut I had been stuck in for a very long time.

I often joke around and talk about it as “the silly little minecraft story” and it is, to an extent, but it’s also so much more than that. It’s a story. Our story, that we got to tell, and that effected us and so many people in so many ways. One that had made me laugh and cry and that I have poured my heart and soul into. And now from the end I can look back and see how beautiful and elaborate and funny and heartbreaking this story is. I can see the creativity and the passion that everyone involved put into making it what it is. And from the end it is so… wonderful. It is something I am so incredibly proud of. I am proud to be a part of it, despite its ups and downs, and I so proud of the people who were involved. Who have made so much. I could not ask to have told this story with a better group of people, and I could not have asked for a better story to be invited into.

It has been a story, and an experience, and friendships that I am genuinely going to cherish.

It’s strange to consider this a goodbye to Fable SMP. Because in my mind it’s not, really. Fable isn’t gone. It’s not going anywhere. It’s still here. The story is there to be rewatched again and again, as many times as we want. I’m certainly not done stewing in this world and retelling it personally (just look at how much is left of Brink-) and I don’t think the fandom is either. Hell, I don’t think a lot of the cast are ready to leave it behind entirely. We’re still around. Fable is still around. We just get to view it in a different light. We get to look back on it, and immerse ourselves again, and see all that we missed the first time in the rush of flipping through the chapters.

So this is not a goodbye to Fable. But it is a thank you. A thank you to the cast, who made such an amazing story, made such an amazing environment to create in, and who gave me so many amazing opportunities. And it is a thank you, so so much, to the community, who got as attached to our characters as we did; played along with our silly games and codes; who encouraged me as I delved into this new way of storytelling for the first time; and who helped make the entire series what it was.

it’s over. i have a headache from crying, but i truly couldn’t be happier. i’m so thankful i was able to help tell the story of Fable SMP. of Caspian. to be able to tell a story about grief, and pain both physical and emotional, and about a trans person whose entire story isnt purely about their trans-ness. i am so grateful for everything that has come from Fable SMP- i don’t even have the words.

bestie (who does not watch fable or any other minecraft stuff) just let me rant about fable and the ending for a solid hour and oh boy i needed that. they did say it sounded like a very good story

I cannot begin to express how much Fable SMP has meant to me. I feel so incredibly lucky to have found it, to have gotten the chance to be taken along as the cast created and shared the beautiful story, with all its twists, turns, ups and downs. Each character brought a new spark to the story and it all built up only to be brought to a beautiful end.

So thank you to the cast, for creating this world and letting us see it through the eyes of your characters, for sharing thoughts, feelings, laughter, joy, sorrow, and pain through the screen.

Thank you to the VA's the artists, and all the other incredible talents that went into making this series a reality, because it was gorgeous, it was wonderful, and something I hope I will never forget.

Thank you to the fandom, for reigniting my spark, for receiving me so positively even if most of what I do is lurk. You made the fandom as much as the streams do.

I am so excited to follow as many of the creators as I can as they spread out and tell new tales, I know wherever they land I will be in good hands. We already see that with their many other series.

I will continue to be here, probably for a good while, because I know this story will live with me for a long time to come.

I would Love to see the World Falling series as movies, the amount of extra body language i would be able to fit in to help portray what certain characters are thinking, plus the bit that wasn't from Rae's POV, oh it would all be so cool. Thinking about how maybe the curse of icarus was that they were always meant for the aether rather then the overworld, meant for their mothers blue, thinking about how many times they had to be saved by undoing the world itself, and how had they not been they would've joined the destroyed realm that no longer existed, thinking about how they fly as if it is as natural as breathing, a trait that some ender people found, but only after they were given the ability by changing the aethers inherent flight, after they molded and changed their own elytra, becuase the aether was the sky, it was to breathe in the fresh air though you didnt need to anymore, and who wouldn't fly in the sky? Thinking about how the first person luce saw was icarus, and they were the first person he emulated, idk just thinking about the idea that had everything somehow worked out the same without the aether falling, icarus may have joined their uncle instead of their father, about how fable's actions (taking away isla) would have let the prophecy he was so scared of take place, would have meant one of the mortals he had created would have joined the aether just as he feared

thinking about the thought that icarus was named after the story of the boy who fell, who went to close to the sun and fell to the sea, thinking about how they were always meant to fly, but they've always been destined to fall
