hey i’m so sorry, i’ve never had to do this before, but i need help paying my cat’s vet bill.
she was in the hospital for four days (the night of august 9th to the evening of august 13th) with a kidney infection, acute kidney failure, and dehydration.
the vet said because she was doing so poorly we could either put her down or go through intense treatment. my parents couldn’t afford the treatment for her, so they would have had to put down my cat if i didn’t pay the bill myself.
i’ll be a junior in college this fall, and i’ve been working part time at a cafe all summer. i’m planning on getting a job once i’m back on campus, but my hours will be severely limited compared to what i’ve been able to work this summer.
i only have USD$5,157.58 in my bank account and the total for the vet bill is $6,949.51.
i’ll have to pay the bill in 3 weeks (since it’s on my credit card). i’ll get another paycheck in a week or so, but since i’ve been off of work this week to take care of my cat, it won’t be as much as i’m used to making.
my main priority is to pay the vet bill in whole. but even once i do that, i’ll have $0 in my bank account. i’ll need some money for textbooks, food, and transportation to campus, so i’m hoping for about $300 extra.
so in total i’m hoping to raise $2,091.93 ($1,791.93 for the rest of the bill and $300 for other necessities).
thank you so much for helping. my cat is still on a lot of medication but is doing really well!! i can’t imagine losing her, she’s my best friend ❤️
