Bite off more than you can chew, and chew as fast as you can. It’s something I heard along the way during my intern days that stuck with me. It’s an excellent reminder that the more you challenge yourself, the more you grow. A healthy work ethic and a can-do attitude is what I value most when I’m hiring.

when ppl act like the goal of anti-nazi ppl is to “”change their minds”” about their “”beliefs”” like… that’s…
we don’t give a shit about their ~beliefs~??? I dont care if mr dick is sittin in his house thinking jews are awful. I would LIKE for him to not think that but I ultimately do not care. I do not care about changing his thoughts.
i care about preventing him from having enough of a public platform that he and people like him gain the power to ACT ON those beliefs.
so yes actually! punching nazis when they are trying to be suave on television, such that they are unwilling to try to go and appear suave on television again, does accomplish that.
i dont care what mr dick thinking in the privacy of the hole he crawled out of, at this point. we are at a point where there are way more pressing things regarding nazis. which is like. nazis get to be suave on television.

I would be very pleased if a Bollywood remake of Sherlock was made. I would look forward to the filmy dance in it. Though it couldn’t be our version of Sherlock, but they could certainly make a Sherlock.

The abortion rate in the United States fell to its lowest level since the historic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalized abortion nationwide, a new report finds.
The report by the Guttmacher Institute, a research group that supports legalized abortion, puts the rate at 14.6 abortions per 1,000 women of childbearing age (ages 15-44) in 2014. That’s the lowest recorded rate since the Roe decision in 1973. The abortion rate has been declining for decades – down from a peak of 29.3 in 1980 and 1981.
The report also finds that in 2013, the total number of abortions nationwide fell below 1 million for the first time since the mid-1970s. In 2014 – the most recent year with data available – the number fell a bit more, to 926,200. The overall number had peaked at more than 1.6 million abortions in 1990, according to Guttmacher.
Perhaps not surprisingly, given the longstanding controversy around abortion policy, the meaning of the report is somewhat in dispute.
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards said efforts to help women get better access to contraception are paying off. She points in particular to recent improvements in the rate of unintended pregnancies, and a historically low teen pregnancy rate.

Vernon Dahmer was a civil rights leader in the mid-1960s, when Mississippians were still required to pay a poll tax in order to register to vote. In January 1966, the successful farmer and businessman publicly offered to pay that tax for black people who couldn’t afford it.
That night his house was firebombed by the Ku Klux Klan. His wife and three of his children were at home.
“We didn’t think anybody would bother the children, but we were wrong, they intended to get all of us January the 10th, 1966,” Vernon’s widow, Ellie Dahmer, told their daughter Bettie during a recent visit to StoryCorps.
“That night, when I waked up, the house was on fire, and it was so bright and so hot. You was screaming to the top of your voice, ‘Lord have mercy. We’re going to get burned up in this house alive.’ I raised the windows up, and then your father was handing you out the window to me.”

One thing’s for sure, the Holmes siblings really are a bunch of theatre geek drama queens.
Can you imagine living with them? Like, one day, you totally forgot to buy coffee.
Sherlock: fakes death, leaves suicide note “Arabica. 1,3,7-Trimethylpurine-2,6-dione” Mycroft: hires black suited men to blindfold you, then interrogates you in a dim dungeon and serves you hot water, forcing you to drink it. “Anything missing?” he asks in Russian. Eurus: pretends to be a door to door coffee sample seller while leaving clues to meet her in an abandoned alleyway. Finally forces you to kill your cat and dig through the corpse to find unground coffee beans in the stomach.

“When wireless is perfectly applied the whole earth will be converted into a huge brain, which in fact it is, all things being particles of a real and rhythmic whole. We shall be able to communicate with one another instantly, irrespective of distance. Not only this, but through television and telephony we shall see and hear one another as perfectly as though we were face to face, despite intervening distances of thousands of miles; and the instruments through which we shall be able to do his will be amazingly simple compared with our present telephone. A man will be able to carry one in his vest pocket.”

I want to get that second "I love you" on an infinite loop and then have passionate sex with it, that's how ecstatic I am about how things turned out. Poor sherlolly shippers? Half of us were convinced that Molly would die, barely acknowledged, and yet what we get is Sherlock being put through a meat grinder to realize, himself shocked, that he actually loves her. Oh yeah, poor us, we only got one of the best realized romances in recent history. How will we cope?
Yeah, poor us.
