While Americans are distracted watching the Super Bowl, Israel has chosen to begin bombing over a million Palestinians.

It’s timed too conveniently to be a coincidence.

There’s nothing we can do to stop this but please don’t be silent. Even if you’re watching the game, please use your voice to condemn genocide in this moment and afterwards.

Today the US and UK have reportedly hit 13 locations in Yemen. Meanwhile their war crime partner (Israel) has killed 24 Palestinians in the eastern part of Rafah—the alleged “safe zone” Israel has ordered that Palestinians flee to. Palestinian children are roaming destroyed streets hungry and sick, looking for even the tiniest morsels of food. They are literally slaughtering Arabs without even trying to hide it, and still Arabs are painted as the terrorists. Fucking sickening. Ceasefire now.

Anyway I have a clean conscience because from the very beginning (I’m talking April of last year) I’ve said that if we ever discover that Joe has done something legitimately bad I’ll criticize him accordingly.

It’s been a year and the only things we’ve discovered so far are that:

1. Joe didn’t wanna marry Taylor

2. Taylor regrets going to great lengths to keep their relationship private

3. Taylor felt ignored during parts of their relationship

4. Their lifestyles didn’t match

And these are the most mundane reasons why a relationship can fail.

Now, if we ever discover that Joe was actively jealous of Taylor’s career and resented her, or that Joe asked Taylor to give up her career as a condition to have a family, or that Joe purposefully hurt her, or whatever, then, yeah, I’m gonna act accordingly!

Until then I’m not gonna speculate about a person mental health, I’m not gonna use “poor” and “unemployed” as insults, and I’m not gonna make fun of someone just for existing.

And if that makes me “overprotective” towards Joe, then so be it.

I had no problems criticizing Taylor this year and I’ll have no problems criticizing Joe if the day ever comes when I feel like I need to do it.

Again, until then, I’m not gonna blindly send hate towards someone just because they’re someone else’s ex.

I actually think this is a healthy behavior and I’m not gonna change it.

I have no interest in “protecting” Joe Alwyn. He’s a person I really like and an actor I respect. Countless people have said the nicest things about him.

That being said, maybe it’s all a façade! Maybe he’s a pretty awful person who’s hurt his partner in like twenty different ways. I’m very open to the possibility!

That still wouldn’t condone the name-calling, the death wishes, the classist insults and the ignorant discourse about his mental health!

So I will be leaving this space for idk how long, which means I won’t be engaging in swiftie content. The amount of swifties indulging in classism as a way to bring down Joe Alwyn makes me feel completely sick and embarrassed to be a swiftie. All he’s done is promote his works and the efforts of Palestinians, and said not a single word against Taylor. But so many swifties online continue to find it HILARIOUS to bully someone by calling them jobless and poor as if those words are synonymous with being a bad person or a villain. How ignorant can you be? Would you be so hurtful if you knew any low income earners, like people with disabilities (like me), or anyone close to becoming homeless, or know the struggles of friends who have had it rough? How can you feel good indulging in language like that? It’s the most disgusting behaviour I’ve ever seen from swifties and I’ve seen a LOT since I’ve been a Taylor fan since just before Fearless came out. It makes me genuinely uncomfortable, hurt, and has had me on borderline tears because I’ve never felt so alone and isolated by swifties in my life. I thought that in the end we were better, more loving than this. I will continue listening & supporting Taylor but this whole past year has made me feel so separated from her lately. I wish she would speak up but she only spoke up about politics whilst she was with Joe, whose whole family has had a long history in activism. I will always adore her, but I can’t be online with swifties anymore, it hurts too much.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has provided an interim judgement in the South Africa vs Israel case just right now!!!

So far:

The genocide convention is applicable, the ICJ is can address this case.

South Africa is allowed to make this case (both nations are part of the convention)

The provisional measures requested are in line with the rights South Africa wants to see protected

The case is urgent

The interim judgement of the International Court of Justice:

Israel must do everything in its power to prevent genocide in Gaza.

Israel must prevent its troops from committing genocide in Gaza.

Israel must take measures to assure humanitarian aid will reach the people of Gaza.

Israel must make sure evidence of (potential) genocide will not be destroyed.

Israel must prosecute the people who commit or call for genocide of the people in Gaza.

Israel must file a report to the court on the measures it has taken to adhere to the judgement.

Hamas must release hostages
