-is a farmer and sells her crops around Ponyville, trying to expand her business to outside the town
-was raised by her Granny Smith and brother Big Mac and is fiercely loyal to them, especially her big brother
-is a somewhat closeted lesbian; she does not want to disappoint her Granny Smith due to family values, so the only ponies that know are Big Mac, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and a few scattered ponies from Ponyville (and later on Twilight and Rainbow)
-when she was 13, her estranged aunt gave birth to Applebloom but was unable to care for her, and left the baby at Sweet Apple Acres to be raised by Granny Smith, Big Mac, and Applejack
-honest, loyal, fierce, stubborn, hard-working
