Fandom is so different now and it’s becoming un-fun with how quickly shit moves.

I just want to enjoy things. I don’t want to have to play a game of Artist-Race that seems to be afoot lately.

Ya’ll eat up fandoms, leave artists and writers bone dry and then move on so fucking quickly then fucking wonder where all the Good Fandom Stuff is.

𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 | 𝘁. 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻

summary: Y/N’s sister, has been dating dallas stars hockey player Tyler Seguin for the last 4 years. Meaning Y/N has practically known Tyler for all of her adult life. When the opportunity for Y/N to study in Texas arises, she jumps at the chance. As Y/N moves into her sister’s guest bedroom. It’s within close quarters that Tyler realizes two things. 1. Y/N is not the same girl he remembers leaving behind in Ontario, and 2. He has feelings that he shouldn’t have. 

Part 3

There was something so serene about an early morning and the smell of coffee. The pure clam that wafted through the kitchen carrying aromas of coffee beans and creamer made Y/N’s day. For a change, she had a day off from classes and because of her hard work the last week, she had given herself a breather to just relax before diving head first back into her studies the following Monday. 

Sitting at the kitchen counter, the student poked her way through a bowl of frosted cereal, it was the junkiest thing in the house and after raiding her sister’s all vegan pantry- she was delighted to find the sugary treat. Surprisingly it wasn’t as bland as she had anticipated it would be. However it still tasted very much like grains. 

A soft hum came from the living room as Y/N watched the Television from where she was sitting. She wasn’t too caught up to date on American news so it was certainly something interesting and new for her to investigate. Usually when she woke up there was no time for relaxing, she had enough time to come to her senses and head out on the bus for class- or if she was lucky her sister gave her a drive to campus. But today, both women were off which gave Y/N the grand idea of hanging out together.

Pushing herself up from the kitchen counter, Y/N headed towards her sister’s bedroom, ceramic cereal bowl still in hand as she shovelled spoonfuls of breakfast into her mouth. She could hear her sister’s stereo playing lowly which peaked her interest- Why was she up so early?

Part 1

There was a soft chill spreading through the plane as a hum followed suit, the early morning travellers were eager to get off of the plane as they had been flying all night. The hot dallas air was lost inside the cabin as the air conditioning of the plane was on full blast. As passengers and staff made quick work of taking down their belongings from the overhead compartments, a single woman sat row 7B, her head was hung low as she typed at her phone- this being the first time she had been able to receive a signal in over seven hours. She was texting her sister, letting her know that her flight had arrived. “Sorry Y/N- I’m hung up at work- I left the key under the mat.” 

Figures, Y/N had been planning this trip for months, but staying in dallas with her sister however, that had been a last minute decision.  The young woman had earned herself a spot in the health sciences program at Southern Methodist university. Despite it’s name, it wasn’t religious, which was a relief for Y/N because she didn’t think she could handle having to learn about a religion all semester. When she first got the news that she was accepted, her plan was to stay at a dorm- after all, it was entirely paid for, and it would give Y/N the chance to start gaining some independence. But, her parents weren’t too keen on the idea.
