I think in another life I was shot just below the ribs because whenever I feel like I鈥檓 dying inside I have to clutch my arms tight around my chest to stop myself from bleeding out
I think maybe in another life I fell from the top of a tall building, and when I reached out for the hand of the one I trusted they let me fall. At least that鈥檚 explains my trust issues and fear of heights
I think in a past life I lived too long and smoked cigarettes by the pack on front stoops which is why whenever I鈥檓 outside on the porch staring at the street my fingers itch for a cigarette that has never even touched my lips
A past version of me many lifetimes ago must have been a runaway cowboy living in a little house with nothing around but grass and sky because what else would explain how at home I feel driving through the wide open spaces
I contain a piece of every life I鈥檝e lived and every soul I鈥檝e loved which is why I ache for a life I鈥檝e never known and i choke every time I remember that in this life I鈥檓 none of the things I鈥檝e dreamed of
