i haven’t really fleshed this goober out yet but what i do know is that he’s an author who’s from outside of treebury,who moved for the landscape and because he’s experiencing extreme writers block!!!!

The Treebury Calendar
Treebury uses a lunisolar calendar - this means that it is based on the cycle of the moon, but is different from a pure lunar calendar as it changes slightly (will get into this later)
Months
Treeburys calendar has 12 months in every year, but every 2/3 years there is an extra 13th, or leap month added (more detail in years section)
Months alternate between light months of 30 days, and dark months of 29 days, with every year always beginning with a light month
The month names are currently still in progress, however named months are as follows:
January - 1 - Marwfis
February - 2 - Chwefror
March - 3
April - 4
May - 5 -
June - 6 - Cyntefin
July - 7 - Mehefin
August - 8 - Gorffennaf
September - 9 - Medi
October - 10 - Hydref

The cycle leap months are added in goes as follows:

This cycle of months is referred to as an Ennea (pl. Enneae) and is the main form of refering to long periods of time
For instance, as most people in treebury live very long lives due to their elf blood: they would say I am 4 Enneae and 7 years (etc. etc. this is an example)
Weeks
Every month consists of 4 weeks of seven days each, and as each month is longer than 28 days, the last one/two days of the months are a holiday (more explanation later)
Every week begins on a Monday, and every month therefore also begins on a Monday see
(Holi)Days
Monday thru Friday are all working days, with Saturday being preparation market or a free day, and Sunday being the market from 10am - 3pm (if you sell at market, otherwise it is whenever and how long) followed by a free day.
Work is mostly done in the mornings of the day, and the afternoons are for walks, spending time with friends and other hobbies. Friday evenings are a celebration of the past week, and dinner that night is a communal event shared with friends (anywhere from one friend to like half the town)
The 1/2 spare days at the end of the month are also a time of celebration, and the treebers love to change the flowers around their house at this time, listen to music in the town square and collaborate on a new town welcome sign as well as other decorations.
At the end of each year in either the last day of Rhagfyr or the last day of the 13th month, there is an end of year celebration! This celebration contains all end of the month traditions as well as several others! There is a firefly show in the sky (please note that this is very similar to fireworks but without the noise and due to the nature of the show no fireflies are harmed and therefore do not plague me with the ethics of the firefly show) as well as a large feast with a special apple pie recipe and present giving and dancing in the town square.
At the end of every Ennea there is a week long celebration of dancing and music, with loads of food and present giving, and the town decorated specially for the occasion! The town is lovely and bustling, and there are loads of craft stalls and food stalls etc. around for the people of treebury to enjoy! At the end of the week there is a massive firefly celebration and different family traditions, with several people opting to have hot chocolate with friends.

Blackberries upon the Avon
Hello all, as you may know the beloved Avon and treebury woods have loads of blackberry bushes growing. And as we are coming into September loads of these blackberries are ripe!! In fact, so many of them are ripe, we have a glut of them growing
So this is your reminder to go down the Avon and pick the blackberries!! I will be having a small Blackberry jam making class if you pick a lot and are unsure how to use them!

Elenea Lore
She tends to be very quiet unless spoken to directly
Oftentimes she misspells words in her letters because she was taught to write by the ghosts
Most of the time she doesn't acknowledge any apperations unless she's alone or thinks no one is looking at her because of people in her past trying to imprison her for her abilities ability
She decided to stay there because many of the people there were also more than human so she wouldn't be harmed for her abilities
She has a pet chicken named George who is roughly the size of 2 or 3 apples (smaller than normal chickens)
He (George) was originally human and got changed into a chicken, he has a tall male ghost following him who tries to keep him safe (the two were/are inlove)
She has a lamb named Lambikins the second, who never grows up and loves to wander close to her
She also has a spirit dog named Golden who loves to cuddle and play fech, his task is to keep her happy and find her a home she can enjoy
And a bear cub spirit who loves cuddling, sleeping and snacking. His duty is to protect her and make sure she can sleep safely (His name is Cuddles)
Despite the efforts of the ghosts who follow her, she is almost constantly being haunted by phantoms which makes her more paranoid and anxious
She always wears warm clothes because she originally lived in a very cold place and now with all the phantoms she tends to always feel cold
Sometimes references things that make no sense or talks about things of the future in a strange way, but never elaborates. Asking about it makes her clamb up
Loves soft things, such as blankets, stuffed animals and pillows, she has a very large collection of them
Her favorite colors are brown, pink, black and grey, most of what she wears are those colors.
She has a collection of candles and often burns small twigs on them
She has wings but never flies too high up, not because she's scared but because she has no reason to

Hello citizens of Treebury Upon Avon, I've decided to post a small explanation on my labels of different types of apparitions so that in the future, when I talk about such things, it is easily understood.
Ghosts: forms of living beings who stay around short term to fulfill some small task or because someone summoned them for closure:
Tend to be quiet and kind, try to help the living and keep precious things or people safe without violence or yelling. Not quite common but not rare either. Don't normally communicate much, but if they have to they speak through whispers and simple signs (ex. soft breeze, flowers, simple things of good luck)
Spirits: Forms of various beings, living or immortal, who stay around to fulfill some task for an undetermined amount of time, usually estimated to be longer than a lifetime
Tend to be more powerful than ordinary apperations, with the ability to be seen by even regular mortals should they so with. Depends on the individual what their additude is like, but normally only get truly ferocious or angry when something interferes with their task. More on the rare side. Tend to communicate whenever people get close to whatever they're guarding or doing through speech and can use whatever speak the being infeom of them can
Phantoms: Forms of living beings whostay around short or longterm because they are too filled with hatred or anger to accept rest or be aloud into an afterlife
Tend to choose a live person or being to follow and haunt, making their life miserable to different degrees depending on the amount of anger and power they have. Can cause bad luck, headaches, illness, aches, bad feelings and many precious things going temporarily or permanently missing. Common. Tend to communicate through screeches, screams, howling and malicious whispers if they're powerful enough to make noise.
Apparitions: a general term encompassing a combination of the above species or when one doesn't know which species the being is.

New resident yalll!!!
Dear citizens of Treebury Upon Avon,
I moved in recently, and George insisted i introduce myself to you somehow.
My name is Elenea Dawn, and I have many small pets, such as George the chicken (he is the one who insistedi write this), Lambikins the second (my lamb, he is quiet and often travels around where I am. If you see him, feel free to leave him be, he always finds his way home and knows how to take care of himself) and a few others.
I am still choosing where to live and make my home, but I will inform you when I've chosen my place.
I have a large collection of books and stories that I can lend out should anyone ask, along with the occasional eggs and wool.
I can also see phantoms and spirits, so if you feel like something is following you everywhere, or you have many cold shivers, or things of yours keep moving around then feel free to come find me and I will see if you have an invisible follower.
I tend to get nervous about speaking to others, so it may take me a bit to respond if anyone speaks to me, but rest assured i am always happy to speak to others. My writing is not always the best, so you may see spelling mistakes in my letters. Feel free to point them out, and I will simply edit them out.

do not refer to me as a vampire. i am not a vampire, but my mother was, which causes me to exhibit "vampiric" behavior and symptoms. it's purely genetic and nothing more

i am also half-elf, as most of the treebury residents are elves, such as my father was. i did not know him. my mother never spoke of him
if you find me sleeping in the grass amongst the flowers i recommend that you do not wake me up. the only exception is if i am lying in the sun. the sun makes me feel,, unwell
my flowers speak to me at night. they answer all of my questions. however, even they cannot piece together what my face looks like. i am poor at processing faces, which includes my own (in reflections, which, yes, i can see). but otherwise, they are lovely conversation partners. my flowers are even kind enough to let me eat their petals, but i usually do not, as we've still got to sell them at floresta. most of them, anyway. i suppose if star isn't watching i could

Dear all Treebury residents, we are currently dealing with an unknown mushroom infection.
Beloved witch of the woods Hilda has succumbed to a sickness due to the mushrooms in moonglade forest. As many of you already know, we deal with strange and wonderful mushrooms in treebury, but sometimes they can be deadly. Many of our mushroomsare undocumented and we are unsure of the effects of eating or touching them. Our mycobiota is constantly growing and evolving here and there is a chance that this sickness is caused by fungi infecting other fungi. Hence to ensure the utmost safety of the residents: as we know so little about this disease and its infectivity or origin:
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EAT ANY OF THE MUSHROOMS OR VISIT HILDA
Please inform Cimi if you notice any strange symptoms as she is researching and documenting this in order to provide an effective cure.
