oh definitely. for most of my wips i have detailed outlines about how i want the next few chapters to go, but im having trouble actually putting the words into existence. like, i know where i want it to go, im just having a hard time actually getting it to go in the first place

♻️A scrapped idea for your current WIP
in selkie au, i was gonna have liam go through theo's belongings because he was convinced theo was hiding something from him and having liam find the sealskin on accident that way. it was gonna lead to a huge fight and a confession out of theo, and then theo bolting and liam being unable to find him for a bit. this was before rey and smile turned the au into the monster that it is now, so that idea got thrown out when it didn't fit in

honestly this is a tough one. out of all of my wips, i think selkie au is the closest one to being done, but i don't know if i have the motivation to finish it right now, so it's really anyone's guess

for i don't really l ike me anymore, my original idea was having a friend breakup between theo and scott/stiles, so theo would have ended up as a "villain" like the rest of the hale pack in s2, so we would have had badass leather-jacket-wearing theo antagonizing scott and stiles and murdering people until someone kicked his ass hard enough to knock his morals back into place. i decided not to use that plotline, though, and instead i kinda use theo as a way to bring the hale pack and the early version of the mccall pack together.

She broke out of her sister’s tightening grasp and dove towards the freshly packed mound of dirt that was Theo’s grave. A strange symbol showed up in front of her, hovering above the grave, and without thinking Hayden traced it with her fingers several times over. She was still tracing it when her sister stepped forward to drag her away. There was something, some form of energy or magic, flowing through her and into the symbol she traced, and after she completed the symbol one last time the magic took hold and sank into the ground.

From his current position, Liam couldn’t see much, but his ears still worked just fine, and the squelching sounds of Theo being fingered open and the soft moans falling from the vampire’s lips only served to increase Liam’s torture. Isaac pressed kisses into Theo’s pale skin, murmuring praises and filthy little nothings, telling Theo how good he was being and how well he was taking his fingers, which in turn only ramped up the volume on Theo’s end.
This was the first time Theo had been on the bottom in any of their escapades; Liam had seen glimpses of this side of him before, mostly in his reactions to Isaac and the taller vampire’s dominance, but to have Theo be entirely submissive was something new, something Liam found he quite liked.

Hayden never meant to raise her best friend from the dead. She hadn’t even been totally convinced that he was dead, even as she was standing next to his cold, lifeless body at the wake, as she watched them lower his coffin into the ground.
Theo had been conscripted into the army as soon as he had turned 18, and not even six months after his departure he had returned in a cheap pine box. The friend she had grown up with, had chased through the rivers and wheat fields surrounding their little town, had been cut down by “creatures unknown”, according to the official report, but still she refused to accept what everyone was telling her was the truth.

Theo squeezed his hand, and Isaac squeezed back.
A stranger suddenly appeared on Isaac’s other side, wearing Army dress blues. The older man reached out to place a strong hand on Isaac’s shoulder, squeezing just as Theo had done to his hand a moment earlier. Isaac and the stranger made eye contact, and something unspoken passed between them.
“Do you know him?” Theo asked as the man walked away.
“That’s Jordan. He’s my half brother. He’s back on leave for a little bit.”

As Derek stepped back, Isaac stepped forward and mimicked the older teen’s previous position of crouching down in order to be eye level with Jackson. Theo ignored whatever his boyfriend was doing for the moment and caught Derek’s elbow, dragging him aside and out of earshot of Jackson despite the soft surprised sound that Derek made.
“When did you give him the bite?” Theo asked. Derek furrowed his eyebrows, but Theo just raised his own right back at him, a silent challenge.
“The same night I gave it to you,” Derek answered after a brief moment. “He showed up at my house to ask for it about half an hour before Stiles called me.”
“Seriously? You bit him however many weeks ago and this is the first we’re hearing about it?”
