      “U-um, excuse me, miss?”
A small elderly woman timidly approached the goth woman half her age. Her skin was pale as moonlight, matching almost perfectly to her silver hair. Wide, blood-red eyes stared up at the other. Goodness, she was tall. “A-ah, I-I’m sorry if I’ve disturbed you, b-but...” She began fidgeting with her hands. “D-do you take commissions? I-I’m in need of a clothing designer and I was pointed in your direction...”

((I’ve decided I’m going to move Konda to his own blog. It’s going to be a blog for him, Sukari, Kova, and Fitch, so in a way it’s also a multi-muse, though Konda and Sukari will be the main focus of the blog.
Not dropping the URL quite yet, as it’s a massive WIP right now, but it will come soon!))

((I’ve been thinking about the possibility of moving Konda (my LoZ Conductor) to his own blog and making him into an OC blog. I’m really vibing with LoZ right now, and... idk, just having so many different AUs for the Conductor without any RPs in the main verse kinda makes it feel like I’m not even writing Con at all anymore, just a bunch of variations on him. And Konda by far deviates most from Con (though that’s more because of the LoZ setting) so he’d be easy to convert to an OC and make a footnote that he was inspired by Con from AHIT.
I may put a poll out there, but just throwing this out here to share my thoughts and get opinions.))

ZELDA:
Tumblr media
To say she was surprised was needless.
She’d never seen such a celebration. Such things weren’t there in Castle Town. They had their share of festivals, but nothing that dressed the entire town in bouts of color. The woman wanders, glancing all around as she makes her way towards her friend’s home, if she could even find it again. It had been so long since she’d made the trip here, and as far as her father knew, she was out in the fields, camping. The only celebration in Castle Town now was a celebration of the rainy season, which she didn’t partake in.
Zelda wasn’t a fan of rain.
But it seemed that the rain didn’t extend this far. And when she heard a familiar voice, it went without saying, that she was happy. Happy, and shocked to see Konda in such an interesting garb. He certainly was a looker, wasn’t he? And she had no doubt that his wife looked equally stunning, wherever she may have been.
Tumblr media
“It’s beautiful.”
Her smile has returned.
“And you look quite special in that. The village really does look beautiful. I was not expecting such a celebration, tell me, what is it about?”
Zelda’s first two words were enough to get Konda grinning from ear tuft to ear tuft. Nothing tickled him more than having someone outside of the village marvel at their customs. Though he was shocked to hear that she didn’t know about the Festival of Colors. How could he have neglected to tell her any of the details about this big celebration! For shame, Konda, he briefly scolded himself.
“Ah, ye wanna know about the Festival o’ Colors!” It was more of a proclamation rather than a question. “Well lucky ye, Lassie! Ye came right at the perfect time!” He gestured up towards the village. “The Festival has just begun. It’s a week-long celebration we Rito host every year at the start o’ spring. Ta put it simply, it’s a week where we celebrate all that Hyrule has blessed us wit’. I know ye Hylians have a good handful o’ celebrations. Yer can think o’ this like… like havin’ all o’ yer holidays on the same week. That’s what this is ta us Rito. Though that’s not ta say that we don’t have holidays outside o’ this one, but they’re few an’ far between. The Festival o’ Colors is pretty much our biggest holiday o’ the year.
Tumblr media
“Each day o’ the Festival o’ Colors has its own special celebration an’ meaning. At the end o’ each day, we hold a ceremony ta pay homage ta whatever that day’s celebration happens ta be fer.” He gestured to his getup. “I’m the one who gets ta lead the ceremony, which is why I’m dressed like this. As the village storyteller an’ the one who’s responsible fer passin’ down legends among our people, it’s my responsibility ta host the main event.” He chuckled. “Basically, I just narrate while the performers do their thing. I do this every day except fer the sixth day. That’s when me son will be doin’ the narratin’ instead.”
Without any more hesitation, Konda gestured for Zelda to come and follow him into the village. “The first day is when we celebrate the goddess Din an’ the changin’ o’ seasons.” He gestured to several groups of adult Rito. Some of the groups were already out performing intricate dances for spectators, while other groups seemed to be doing stretches and warmups in preparation for sporting events. “We got a lot o’ fun stuff goin’ on today. Yer see anythin’ yer interested in partakin’ in, ye just say the word, Yer Highness! The village would be more than happy ta have ya celebrate wit’ us. I know I am!”

“Ah, let’s see... One over here, an’ one over there... Gotta make sure those go off when they’re supposed ta...”
From one of the seats in the office, the Conductor could be seen by himself, mulling about... something or another. It was honestly hard to tell, given the large stack of papers in his hands and the incoherent muttering that fluctuated from clear as day words to muddled gibberish. It wasn’t clear if he was at the NSR headquarters for a meeting or for some privacy while he went over his... plans? But regardless, at the current moment, he was sitting alone--or at least, he thought he was. His altered state became much more clear when he failed to notice the manager of 1010 joining him in the room, the elderly man instead continuing to ramble to himself out loud. “Gotta make this... crowd’ll go crazy when I get that part goin’...”

“Yer Highness!” Through the sea of colorful garments, Konda somehow managed to spot Princess Zelda among the crowd. The village was very decorated on this trip, not just in its scenery, but its villagers, too. Everyone and everything was dressed top to bottom, and Konda was no exception. His outfit seemed to accentuate the Rito culture, all sorts of complimenting colors decorating him from head to talon. A fierce headdress adorned his head, the feathers from it and the matching earrings tickling his exposed shoulders. Around his waist were dozens of different bags strapped to his feathered belt, each bag only differentiated by different colored strings. Most notably of all, on his gorget where the normal Rito emblem would appear was instead the Triforce. It truly was a far cry from what Konda normally wore--yet it still managed to capture the Rito culture perfectly.
Tumblr media
“Yer Highness! I didn’t expect ta see ye here!” Konda bounded over, presumably unable to fly given how over-the-top his outfit seemed. There was no hiding the eager expression on his face. “Yer came at the perfect time though!” He gestured to the village proudly. “Welcome ta the largest celebration we Rito host in the whole year: The Festival O’ Colors!”

@ritohonour | ANGST BE WARNED
      “Oh no ye don’t!”
With a whip of his talon, Konda took down a bokoblin who dared get too close to him. Ganon’s monsters were coming in droves, and as the battle dragged on, the harder and harder it was becoming to stave them off. Their numbers had grown so many that Konda couldn’t get enough space to fly off. If he’d only been able to get some distance between him and the beasts he could get airborne and finally get the upper hand. Even with the people of Hyrule all fighting together, Ganon’s minions somehow seemed to outnumber them at every turn. Had it not been for the more experienced fighters aiding them, they wouldn’t have stood a chance.
Just before another beast could throw its weapon down at Konda, a wave of arrows rained down, taking down a good handful of the beasts with pinpoint precision. That kind of archery skill could only come from one Rito. Konda looked up, a proud smile on his face as he watched Revali soar overhead. Yet, his expression immediately dropped at the sight of a Guardian Scout’s target reticule aimed directly at Revali. Even with it being so small in comparison to the larger Guardians hovering around, Konda had seen firsthand what those lasers could do.
“Revali, look out!” Konda pulled out an arrow, aiming it directly at the machine’s eye. The lasers seemed to come out from those eyes, so if he managed to destroy it, he would eliminate the biggest threat in the immediate moment. Ready, aim...
Tumblr media
      FIRE!
With a loud, grating screech, Konda could see his arrow hit its target dead-center. A large flash emanated from the machine, and within seconds, it exploded, screws and bolts flying every which way. Konda shielded himself from the flying debris, giving a haughty chuckle at his small victory. That was the first time he’d taken out one of those Guardians, even though it was only a scout. Their eyes must’ve been their weakness!
      SLICE!
A piercing pain ripped through Konda. For a split second, the Rito blacked out, but as he came back to, the horrifying realization of what had happened set in. With his wings trembling over the weapon, Konda looked down at the spear head protruding from his abdomen.
      Oh no...
