Is it deadnaming to call Miku a Vocaloid in 2024? Or do we put that in the same exception category as Twitter?
Despite the branding change, calling Miku a Vocaloid is little different than calling facial tissues Kleenexes. Brand genericization is not an uncommon phenomenon after all.
Meanwhile, Twitter's name change to X holds very little weight for a great many reasons. We would not be surprised if it ends up being changed back at some point in the future.

I have a question. what’s going on
On 2022-08-19, tumblr user toskarin posted a tweet about Shinzo Abe's death. Most notably, this tweet was from a French source, resulting in several comments accusing toskarin of being French. This accusation was quickly denied and resulted in the current disclaimer "not french" on her blog.
(On 2022-10-25, tumblr user niraksot reblogged one of toskarin's posts. This reblog, along with the rest of the post, is the first known reference to what would later be known as a toskarinlike. It is unknown whether modern toskarinlikes were inspired by this or not.)
On 2023-05-26, a tumblr user going by toskarinfr (now deleted) reblogged one of toskarin's posts with "bonjour madame". This interaction is the first known modern toskarinlike, though the original toskarinfr would eventually deactivate sometime between 2023-07-22 and 2023-12-08.
Following the trend of toskarinfr (after being remade on 2023-12-08), multiple other toskarinlikes began emerging throughout the next few months. The next of these was toskarinpl, made in the style of toskarinfr, but Polish instead of French. While some later toskarinlikes also took on various nationalities, others would go for more varied concepts, such as toskarintetris and toskarintoast (the latter has provided a lore post on their creation as well).
On 2024-02-29, a post was made referencing the "ongoing toskarin cambrian explosion" and heralded a massive acceleration in the creation of toskarinlikes. Twelve of the currently known twenty-six were created during the next 48 hours. That same post predicted a future with "an incomplete fossil record", which resulted in the creation of the Toskarin Archive, whose goal is to prevent such a bleak future from happening.
