thanks! I’m planning on getting the plot and character concepts solid in my mind, then write the script while I improve my comic skills with my more one-and-done projects.

I’ve always thought Papyrus knight was the most interesting option out of the possibilities!

also toby made a whole cyberworld and didn’t make a space bar which will be rectified.

here’s some concept art for an Idea I’ve started to plot out!

I had an idea recently that Papyrus and Sans moved to deltarune because sans didn’t wanna be stuck in the loop and papyrus had to come with him. But when they get there papyrus hates not having his friends or the magic and familiarity that he’s used to so he discovers how to create dark fountains as a way to bring control and fun back to his life. The first dark fountain he made was in his room and so I was coming up with dark world and darkner ideas for like the room.

I’m thinking the pirate flag is its own like pirate kingdom and there’s like a pirate skeleton king and a baby pirate skeleton that’s like the prince, and they have like their own cyber city sorta thing because of the computer- and the squiggly carpet is water, there’s some kind of fire land on the carpet, the bed is its own like city maybe? Stuff like that.

I was also thinking about how Ralsei serves as like a comfort to be like asriel to Kris. And stuff like that. So I was thinking about what the person Papyrus would miss would be, and I thought it’d be his relationship with Undyne. So I wanted to make a darkner in sort of Ralseis role but different. For papyrus. I’m thinking a Undyne-like darkner named Kamikaze. My inspiration for the name and character is that one httyd character from the books by the same name. I think that sort of personality would fit pretty well.

I was going to put a whole new au name to this and what not, but when I was brain storming all my ideas kinda fit with something I had already worked on in the past. And so I think I’m just going to combine it and workshop that.

so this is going to fall under DESPERATION!Tale

I think the core element of papyrus’s desperation will validate the au name choice pretty well.

I didn’t exactly have anything massive planned to showcase or whatever yet, I just had these ideas that I wanted to share since I’m probably not going to have anything come from it in a while.

I have changed a lot of the initial concept art and work for DesperationTale compared to my old art in the tag.

I appreciate someone who likes Kai but actually has good literary analysis skills in relation to him specifically! It definitely helps flesh out his character a lot more than the show does.

Soooo guess who’s back into ninjago?

Yknow- we all know that one scene with Kai trying to barter for a lower price and just ended up making it higher right?

So I’ve been thinking maybe he’s actually only used to bartering for higher prices instead of lowers ones because he had to do that while he was the only one managing the Blacksmith shop?

He would have wanted to make the most money he could have, not the least-

Thinking of it makes his childhood (nonexistent as it is) that much sadder cuz he had to learn things like that so early just to make a living-

the answer is simple: It’s not that the monsters are actively trying to shatter the soul of the human- far from it. As we’ve seen with the other humans- killing them with battles and brute force- well it kills them and they’re able to capture the soul.

but because frisk is frisk and the player (us) is the player.

Frisk doesn’t just go BLEH and die and then their soul just appears for the monsters to collect- frisk’s soul shatters, reforms and we restart.

meaning that there’s literally no way a monster could ever take frisks soul because frisk never dies like the other humans do, so the soul is never like- available.

I’ve seen comics that use this accurate concept to its full potential but that’s basically the explanation to fix the plot Hole

but if that doesn’t tickle your fancy.

It’s magic glass, they can’t collect the soul because of the magic glass

Undertale Plot Hole of the Day:

Why do the monsters, which are supposed to be capturing Frisk for their SOUL, just outright shatter the SOUL? Even Asgore just shatters Frisk SOUL, knowing full well he needs it to open the barrier.

It's been 8 years and I have yet to hear a theory about it <3

I talked before about how Papyrus’ inability to kill the Player - or rather his ability to always reduce the Player to just one HP - is an indication of not just his incredible kind-heartedness but also some remarkable skill. Considering no other character in the game can safely reduce an enemy to just a single Hit Point with no risk of accidentally killing them. Including other powerful characters who would have an obvious incentive to do so.

So I think that another factor in why Papyrus is the Best at Not Killing Anyone (outside of his general moral disposition and dedication, which are also important to note) is… probably Sans. If Papyrus ever had anyone else to spar/practice FIGHTing with, it would only be his brother. (Remember, Undyne’s ‘Warrior Training’ is actually just cooking lessons). And Sans only has one HP - Papyrus had to learn to be careful to make sure he never hurts his beloved older bro too much.

In contrast, when Toriel had to learn to use her magic, that was probably before the War of Humans and Monsters, with her old Boss Monster family? Or at the very least with another Monster that is more powerful than ‘the weakest enemy’. So, even if she never ever wanted to use her powers to kill anymore - she never had to learn to be as gentle as Papyrus had to be gentle. I mean, she had some skills at weakening her attacks and making them safer, but they are not quite as precise as Papyrus’ is. And so…

dw my dude I always love learning new things about one of my favourite shows I appreciate giving me all this juicy insight into a character I like. Bonzle is definitely unique and I’m glad dragons rising has given us so many characters we’ve never met before.

the fact she prepared a puppet show is so wholesome like she was drilling it.

and the sensei wu thing?? That was so wholesome??? I love how she said something about how sensei wu didn’t think much of it, but the moment meant the world to bonzle and that’s like so accurate to how these kind of conversations happen?

someone might be so nice to you, they might never remember it, but you treasure that moment and I think that’s really special

I could be having the worst day, and then I open tumblr and find so many strangers genuinely enjoying stuff I’ve made and it makes me feel like I actually matter to someone. Ive never had such overwhelming kindness for my dumb ideas before it’s so great
