Can I ask about Vlad? just any silly facts you have abt him or anything? like any bass model he ever dreamt of getting or favorite time of the day? ^O^ have a good day!
Hii I saved this q for a bit so I could work out his page but I made his toyhouse public here just yesterday!
I personally have like no knowledge on bass models and that kind of stuff but when Vlad occupies my mind fully again bet your bottom dollar I will become the bass expertā¦ he is nocturnal though! At his side job as an immunohematology tech he works the night shifts with other creatures of the night š«”

- heās actually kind of anxiousš not really a coward but heās definitely the more careful ācan we think this through <:)ā sort
-heās 5ā5āā¦ very throwable and grabbable
-heās never actually dated anyone before ā¦.. He really just enjoys having a blast without gripping onto someone Too tightly but he Will have a fling from time to time mark his words
-he flat-irons his hair! Itās pretty curly and you can sometimes see some strays in his bangs
-a fan of rock but also a huge fan of funk, house, soul and r&bā¦ when I draw him in his silk sonic era itās over for everyone

hi, ive always thought your art has really nice texture and visual interest going on - there arent many empty smooth planes of colour. i wondering if you had any tips for how you texturise and colour your drawings to be like this digitally?
Hiii Iām honored you think so! Iām a really big fan of texture diversity in my art so having someone point it out means a whole bunch esp bc I donāt really get to talk abt it a lot š
Irt tips and stuff, I canāt really give like a guided doās and donātās sort of thing, but the usual stuff I go by is to use a variety of stuff in moderation so the whole piece isnāt flooded by a texture that you think is neatš¤ I use whatever of my select brushes speaks to me at that moment so I donāt have a set in stone method, but I can list the ones I like to use the most!!
Canvas texture: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1852027 super easy to get carried away with canvas textures so I only use these in SUPER subtle areas or to really make a highlight pop. Using it everywhere to act a blurring/ color mixing effect imo makes my art look a little corny so I kinda just use it to make things look more interesting whenever I remember that this brush exists š
Crunchy pen: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1749795 Iām a big fan of combining soft painty brushes with sharp pens in the same piece sometimes, and this is a really fun brush I like to use all the time recently
Noise RGB: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1744752 (I think it was free the last time I saw itš itās a noise filter though so Iām sure thereās free ones out there somewhere) this is probably a huge factor in how my art looks texturizedš¤ I put this over EVERYTHING on overlay 20% opacity (really I just lower it until it doesnāt look crazy crunchy and itās usually around that number) I also hit my art with a very low opacity sharpen at the end sometimes and that adds a nice little crunchy texture over the whole thing too
Skin sheen brush: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1867165 I donāt use this too often because itās another brush I keep forgetting that I have but when I do remember it looks nice!!
Rake brush: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1893599 Iāve kind of just been using this willy nilly but I love the way it looksā¦ youād think that itās best w/ just hair but Iāve been messing around with this thing on everything as a brush and Iām in love w/ it..
I also use the basic gouache brush in CSP!
Thatās abt all I can think of rnš¤ I think if youāre talking abt the way /I/ use textures specifically (i once saw my art described as messy/unfinished in a positive way which like. Still made me feel a certain type of way but i get it) the best way to go abt it is to not paint in a way that youāre thinking way too hard abt what brush to use where and when, tbqh I think the best way to make textures really feel at home is to use brushes like these on a whim so the strokes feel more free and dynamic, and of course not doing TOO much on one texture or All the textures you knowā¦ Being unique is nice but itās still gotta be pleasing to thine eye at the endš
P much I donāt think too hard abt it and Iām just like āoh this might look cool thereā and thatās all there is to it, no crazy order of operations stuff going on in my head.. tho ofc Iāve been doing this for a hot second so Itās more natural for me but experimenting and finding out your limits helps your groove!
