almandine! shes got a big ass and no class (just kidding shes very classy)
she belongs to the garnet family, but is distinctly more ceremonial than some of her relative gems. although shes a soldier, she’d never share a bunk with an amethyst-outside of actual combat, she doesnt do guard duty or manual labor, and actually has quite a lot of free time
almandines are intelligent and adventurous by nature, and seek out challenges-so youll rarely see them on homeworld. they prefer to explore colonies in the farthest reaches of space, and are known to bring back trophy kills from alien planets-a sign of power, though its considered both impressive and strange by other gems
almandine is proud of her place in gem society and resents the idea of ever needing to change. she considers herself a “classic,” and is some of the more premiere arm candy for elites on homeworld if youve got a ball too attend and really want to show off
her confidence gives her an air of sensual elegance, but it can also be quite grating. she’s smug and arrogant and doesn’t like the idea of dirtying her hands with “work.” shes gorgeous and talented and she knows it-which is frustrating for any gems around her
while her confidence might be deserved, she also comes with a side of weird escapist tendencies. she has trouble being ON all the time. while extremely conceited, she’s also very intimidated by the expectations placed on her as a garnet. in truth, she’s afraid of meeting some insurmountable challenge that will force her to change, to admit that she isn’t perfect the way that she is-so she seeks out smaller challenges she knows she can overcome, and then brags endlessly about her accomplishments to cover her fears
the pressure placed on her by her role leaves her searching for ways to escape it, even for a moment. wandering wilderness in new colonies gives her plenty of time to be herself
shes actually quite the serial romantic because of this. she craves connection and for someone else to see her for who she REALLY is, but also…is terrified of anyone seeing who she really is. she’;d do anything to hide her fears. it’d be HUMILIATING for anyone on homeworld to find out almandine is a coward
she LOVES praise-the more coarse and excessive, the better!
dance style: unknown! though she can dance for a party, shes danced for herself or for fusion
her weapon is a greatsword
