For me, it is also the fact that THIS particular warrior actually ends up being reformed and because easily one of the most iconic example of "reform goals" this side of Zuko from Avatar. Strong, stoic warrior type that does everything he can to make up for his actions (including becoming stand-in protector AND friend of the non-warrior members of the heroes), tries to take up the mantel of a more calm, mature mentor character that was lost, lets go of much his anger to become kind and compassionate, AND still maintain that intensity that when needed, can still be a force to recon with on the final battlefield? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP Seriously people, go watch Ronin Warriors, it's SO good for an 80s anime.

It's really funny whenever I try to imagine what War would look like disguise as a human, I'd happened found this picture of the main antagonist from the 80s anime Yoroiden Samurai Troopers when he was human before becoming a powerful spirit in an armor. The two sorta look similar in appearances.(Let me know when you want to see it on your message)

Not my post but I felt the need to throw this in for others consideration, inspiration, whatever you'd like to call it... There is a DnD game run by the wonderful team of Dimension 20* on Dropout (they also post them on youtube if anyone doesn't want to pay for the subscription, totally understandable) that is kind of in the theme of this very idea. It sadly doesn't involve skyscrapers but it does discuss a cultural difference between borrower communities living in a home vs living outside in the yards vs a community center. It also involves bugs and living toys that can really get you in that headspace of 'the magic of looking through a child's eyes with an adult story' The game in question is called Tiny Heist, it is a standard heist story line run by the always delightful maniacal DM that is Brennan Lee Mulligan and if that interests anyone, here's the link for the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-y98OYaXu8 If nothing else, it's a wonderful case study of why some creatives should never be given coffee unsupervised

I’ve never had a reheading go this horribly before. I’d say I’m pretty good at beheading- I may have broken a neck once or twice, but never any parts I actually liked or intended on keeping, and usually a reheading is the easiest thing, right? Just a little squish and a pop and done, a complete person. But this time it just- it just won’t go back on the body?? Which is incredibly frustrating but also, like, why??

And the funniest thing is, I’m not even swapping a head!! This is a curvy dancer head going onto a curvy dancer body!! They match!! This should have been so simple!! But no, this head’s just flopping around like a limp flaccid idiot and my hands are all red and sore now but the head just isn’t attaching all the way!!

Today I did six beheadings and two other reheadings, and I wanted to get this one attached so I could take a picture, but somehow it just isn’t working!! The head is just getting squished around but isn’t stretching over the neck right!! And I’m way too lazy to go and boil the head just to make the slip easier!! And I don’t wanna keep forcing it cuz I might break something but this is!! So frustrating!!

Like, what could I possibly be doing wrong!! Fuck!!

Since it’s Free Comic Book Day, I figured I’d share my short comic from the Valor Anthology, The Nettle-Witch, (pretty loosely) based on the fairy tale The Wild Swans. Something about the imagery and the locations in the story always made it one of my favourites to read as a kid, and I tried to get some of that feeling into the look of my comic.

I saw this picture before seeing the video and my first thought was 'Oh no, who let Remus have a phone?!' Then I watched the video....AND MY CONCERN WAS JUSTIFIED! XD

This is always such a cute thought but now I'm curious how you think these tendencies would carry over from partners to offspring. Specifically with demons. Obviously we can assume that angels and CERTAINLY Makers would protect their offspring and care for them but where do you stand on the demons? I used to think that demons might not care about their offspring until we got the ending of Genesis and found out that most of what happened was at Lilith's request to Lucifer as revenge against humanity for the nephilim- her 'children'- being wiped out. He may have been the one to make the plan and execute everything...but she was the one who requested it. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Oh, but angels making nests for their human partner when they’re feeling amorous. Nests of the finest silk blankets, their own feathers, luxurious pillows and satin sheets. Angels wearing the flashiest, gaudiest garments to catch their human’s eye, polishing armour to within an inch of its life and puffing their chests out whenever they travel together, shooting glares at other angels, inviting a challenge.

Makers getting growly and possessive of their human partner. Showing off their strength to impress them, building immense sculptures in their partner’s image, even building houses for them to prove they can provide a safe, warm place for their human to live. Gigantic, burly makers utterly melting under their human’s gentle touches and feather-light kisses.

Demons positively draping their human partner in expensive jewels and golden finery. Demons spending hours sharpening their horns and claws to scare off other demons who might get too close. Touching their partner at every chance they get to leave their aroma behind, then getting huffy and frustrated with their human when they have a shower and wash the scent off.

I actually had a small question to throw into this ring, if anyone’s considered it regarding @ patchedupnevermore ‘s note

when we first met Lilith in DS2, her words to Death were ‘Did I not create Absalom from the mingled dust of Angel and Demon? And from that first nephilim, were not the rest formed?’

Now I don’t know how that sounded to others but to ME personally...that particular wording suggested that Lilith ONLY created Absalom. With this series, the demons have been shown to be very particular with their wording, telling some truth without saying all of it just to be difficult and let others’ paranoia be their downfall, but even so...the way Lilith herself words the entire creation of the Nephilim race makes it seem that she is probably less ‘mother’ to Death and the Horsemen...and more ‘GRANDmother’ at most

She is only mother to Absalom- unless she used Absalom physically to create the others...which is not outside her bag of tricks but EW

His actual name??? Or maybe the second name, the one he had taken???? Like back when he didn't start following the council, he was already known by the name Death???? Were the Horsemen created into this world with such edgy names or did they just choose those names at some point when they were destroying stuff??? How does that work??? Should I even question it?...
