DMC Fandom Week 2024 Info

Hello and welcome to the DMC Fandom Week 2024!

This fandom week will take place in February 18th-24th in 2024.

PLEASE spread the word!!! I'm not on twitter, if anyone is and wants to share it there, please do so! Here on tumblr, please reblog this post and/or the reminders! If you are in the DMC fandom, please spread the word about this!

Tag I'm using for this is "dmcweek2024"

Before I list the prompts here are some reminders:

You don't need to make anything! You can just look at what other people make and that's fine, don't feel pressured to make something.

On that note, don't feel pressured to make something every single day!

On some days there are options, if you desire to do both, that's fine, you don't have to choose.

Have fun with this! Please don't stress yourself out over this!

Prompts:

Day 1, Sunday February 18th: Bonding-Characters bond with one another, how is up to you.

Day 2, Monday February 19th: Hurt/Comfort or Hurt/No Comfort-Hurt/Comfort is where one character is hurting and another character comforts them. Hurt/No comfort is where a character is hurting and they don't get comforted.

Day 3, Tuesday February 20th: Underappreciated Character-You do something with a character we haven't seen much in canon. Some examples would be: Lucia, Kyrie, Patty, Morrison, any novel only or anime only character, etc. You get the gist, just a character we don't see much of.

Day 4, Wednesday February 21st: Time Travel or AU-Time Travel is where a character/characters time travel. AU is just do something with an au idea, character/characters winds up in an alternate reality or just it's about an alternate universe you want to make something with without having any characters having traveled there.

Day 5, Thursday February 22nd: Bring a Sad Headcanon to Life or Character Study- Bring a Sad Headcanon to Life is you bring your saddest/one of your saddest headcanons to life. Character Study is where you take a moment in one of the games (a part that isn't covered in a novel), or the anime, and sort of study a character in that moment by sharing their thoughts and emotions.

Day 6, Friday February 23rd: A Commune With the Dead or Before We Meet Them-A Commune With the Dead is where an alive character finds themselves having a conversation with a dead one. Before We Meet Them is where you make something about a character that's set before we chronologically meet them. Some examples would be: Dante before the DMC 1 novel (not counting what we saw when he was 8 in Visions of V as his first chronological appearance in this), Vergil before the DMC 3 Manga (not counting what we saw when he was 8 in Visions of V as his first chronological appearance in this), Lady before the DMC 3 Manga, Trish before DMC 1, Lucia before DMC 2, Nero and Kyrie before DMC 4, Nico before Before the Nightmare, these are just examples there are other characters here to use as well.

Day 7, Saturday February 24th: Rescue-A character/characters need rescuing and another character/characters rescue them.

Headcanon time: Dante’s 40th birthday

“There you are. Pizza’s getting cold.”

“Oh…yeah, yeah, I’ll be right there.”

“You alright?”

“Yeah, never better.”

“…well that’s convincing. You having a mid-life crisis or something?”

“Nah. Come on, like you said pizza’s getting –”

“Sit down.”

“Geez, alright, cranky.”

“Talk to me.”

“So…you’re pretty close to forty.”

“This better be leading to one hell of a compliment.”

“Just – I’m not trying to be a dick or piss you off but – it’s not the same, right?”

“What?”

“Everything.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I’m forty years old, Lady. And I’m the same.”

“You’re not making any sense.”

“It’s – look, when you turn forty, everything’s supposed to change right? You’re supposed to get slower. You’re supposed to feel your joints going or your eyes not being as clear as they used to be. You’re supposed to be using more tactics instead of relying on brute strength.”

“And you don’t have any of those happening to you.”

“None. In fact – I think I might be stronger and faster than ever. I can see and hear things better than I ever did when I was younger. I’m healing faster. I don’t think I’ve gotten sick in a decade. Killing demons is getting easier and easier by the day.”

“You’re scared. You’re scared that you’re becoming less human the older you get. ”
