Season 8 Episode 3
Is it just me or are you also glad the Peyton/Luke drama is no longer hovering over the show?
1. One thing I've noticed that is a pattern with this show is that they include black characters as health characters for the white main characters. #HodgeBros. Edwin Hodge ate his roll down though, as he does with every role I've seen him play. And I'm sure it's nice to have One Tree Hill on your resume. But throughout this whole series, it's like they're allergic to giving black people a back story, character development, and/or a vital role besides help in this show.
2. Once again, I feel like the show dropped the ball in terms of really creating a holistic viewer experience. They talk about things like gun violence and texting while driving and at the end of the show, they could provide resources on more info on the dangers of texting and driving and information on becoming an organ donor.
3. Honestly they could even add sources for coping with infertility and adoption options, if you REALLY wanna get into it.
4. I love that Jamie was kind of challenging the adults when they were pushing him away or keeping him away from this instead of being honest with him. I feel like Jamie is different from a lot of kids his age because he's gone through a lot of trauma so early on in life, not to say that he can take it but he's at a point where it would be helpful for him to be included in the process. I also love that scene where his mom told people to pick him up but he had the capacity to question it and stand on idky frfr and question them ( even though it was no ill intent) 😂 Period Jamie!

⚠️Opinions AND Spoilers⚠️
1. Julian didn't put up a single effort to calm Brooke's anxieties. I understand him wanting to help and we the audience can see he's set boundaries but he doesn't express that or even try to acknowledge that. You telling your girls opp about PERSONAL issues is OC. You not telling her everything that happen and being caught off guard BY said oppo is OC. He's given her no reason to trust him.
2. The way this agent who just joined the cast this season has gotten more screen time and depth of character than Skills who had been on the show since season 1?
3.Weird asl. And I did peep the Q's brother has been one of Jamie's bg friends. Why did yall use black trauma for views but not carry a better arch throughout the series. You could've written Q to be transferring to a different school to play basketball. Things could've changed for them. He could've played for a competing team and exited that way.
4. There should be more trigger warnings and help from these shows. Eg. When Millie became addicted, providing resources at the end of the episodes for people to get help. This is just trauma and drama for views. WHACK asl 😒.
5. Haley will slap everyone except her sister. She's weird asl. She know who to play
6. They never want to see Skills with a black woman. They always put him with some blonde with blue eyes. Bffr. Why are yall so afraid to cast a black woman??

1. I feel like Haley and Nathan have come so far and I knew they'd figure this out.
2. Julien is weird asl. Brooke deserves BETTER the writers hate her so much.😒. He didn't even want kids and now all of a sudden, it's different.
3. I love that they FINALLY gave Skills a plot line. UNFORTUNATELY that includes getting sent away??

1. Tbh, I'm v happy to not have Payton and Luke drama for once.
2. Also love that they gave sex scenes a break cause that just felt like lazy writing. I know these people are in their 20s but damn!
3. Girl, tmy I started tearing up when Alex took off Millie's jacket? Millie gives Bawdy okay?? But I definitely wouldn't call her plus size so for someone to talk shit about her shows you how wild the industry was (and still is).
4. The plite of a real baddie. Victoria trying to make up for lost time but only gets half the story. Bffr😒. This is Rachel 2.o.
5. Now, alot of people are standing 10 toes down for Nate during this scandal. Mouth damn near lost his job for ts. Haley is #StandByYourMan l. My q is, is this in vain? They got through it once will this be pt2? And then, would this be considered DR cause he didn't remember?? #DoubleStandard?
6. I been not fw Haley's violent streak cause only a ww can assault all these people and get away with it. She hit someone while pregnant and it was all bets are off but when she his a pregnant woman, still no charges.

I honestly didn't think I'd watch the new Doctor Who with Ncuti Gatwa for a lot of reasons. I think the biggest reason though, stems from the trauma of rewatching the Tennant and Jones pairing. At the time, when I first watched it, I felt seen and represented with one of my favorite doctors. Watching it back now though, feels painful. This black woman, pining after this time traveler who will never love her back the same. They could've given her and him a relationship like his and Donna's. Yall can meet Shakespeare but not Alexander Dumas? Yall brought up slavery I. The weirdest way, like what was the conversation in the writers rooms when yall wrote that?

- the argument between Brooke and Sam was HELLA uncomfortable and very much out of character? Like she's been on time for breakfast (even made it) she's done everything Brooke has asked of her (and more) and she goes in on her so mercilessly? When Brooke has also been so affirming? Weird asl
- Dan scene was weird asl too because that shit would've had me passout/heated/screaming, crying and throwing up

-I wonder how they'll shape Skills character now that him and homegirl broke up. I'm truly disappointed in how they built his character. He's been apart of the series since season one and I STILL feel like I don't know him. He had these big ambitions about not working at a factory/mill like his dad and going to college but we don't know his interest. I WANT MORE
