Hear me out, we’ve gotten Ruegard backwards this whole time

Silena is the child of Aphrodite. She wouldn’t care who she loves, she could fall in love with a girl or a boy and it wouldn’t matter. Silena has this respect on camp that i think if she dated anybody regardless of gender (maybe even the wood nymphs) and no one would care. Why would they? Out of all people who wouldn’t care to be a part of the community, it would be Silena.

But Clarisse, is the daughter of Ares. He already hates his kids (from what we know in the show), and i feel like we can assume that Clarrise may of gotten some shit for being a girl. She has something to prove, not only that she’s worth being a daughter of Ares, but also as a leader of the cabin.

So i think that Clarisse and Silena did like each other, and I don’t think that it was Silena to make them stay friends. I think that Clarisse had this image she wanted to project to the rest of the camp, and her being in love with Silena didn’t fit inside that.
