We loved Armenia. It exceeded all of our expectations. What a wonderful country! What wonderful people! In this episode we leave the cute little cave town of Khndzoresk and make our way back to Georgia where we want to stay in an AirBnb and properly plan the next leg of our journey. We have a long way to the border, go in many rides but luckily we have two fairly smoth days (with one little issue) hitchhiking and get to experience some amazing scenery on the way. We stop by lake Sevan again for the night and instantly get invited for a BBQ by some young local men and the next day we get in our most random ride this journey. Don't miss this epic episode!Â

In Armenia you don't even have to stick your thumb out and a car will stop. They can't always take you. Sometimes they just want to say hello, or they want to see that you're OK. We had no idea Armenian people would be so incredibly friendly. In this episode we hitchhike the long way from the capital Yerevan to the little cave town of Khndzoresk. Even though it was easy to get picked up it was a long and rough day as the heatwave in the Caucasus had really kicked in. Imagine 40 degrees Celcius or more standing in the sun on asphalt. It actually felt more like 50+ degrees Celcius. We reached the desert, near the border with Azerbaijan where got picked up by Artur who made our journey to the cave town of Khndzoresk very special. In Khndzoresk we camp with beautiful views of the cave town and the next day we explore this mini Cappadocia and start to replan our journey.Â

In this episode we're in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, also known as the Pink City. It's incredibly hot, nearly 40 degrees Celcius and we're struggling to get out there and explore. We do make it out though, to see the main sights and experience the amazing Dancing/Singing Fountains in the Republic Square. We would love to go back to this pretty capital at some point, when it's NOT so hot.Â

NEW COUNTRY AGAIN!!!Â
After some confusing days in Georgia we are now in Armenia and we are super excited as this is a completely new country to us. We arrived thinking it's gong to be more expensive than Georgia (it was not) and we have no idea how hitchhiking will be here. It turns out it beats Georgia and we rarely wait for more than a minute everytime and people are so helpful and curious about us. We make it to beautiful Lake Sevan where we camp for the night and the next morning we continue our journey towards the capital Yerevan. If you wan't some easy hitchhiking, Armenia is the place!!Â

In this episode we leave the cave town of Uplistsikhe and hitchhike back to Gori where we almost get ripped off in a restaurant. We decide to travel towards the famous Katskhi pillar, a tall rock with a little church on top. We are completely out of our "hitchhiking" balance and are struggeling to enjoy ourselves. We're tired and not sure what are last step should be. Although we struggle to stay positive we (as usual) meet amazing people who go out of their way to help us on the road.Â

We're still in the Republic of Georgia, a place with so much history. In this episode we hitchhike our way from Mtskheta to the Pre-Christian cave town of Uplistsikhe. We get invited for some Georgian food, pitch our tent by the river and the next day we visit the caves. As always when we visit cave towns, we're amazed by all the history and how old these places are. Uplistsikhe did not dissapoint.Â

In this Episode we hitchhike from Georgia's capital Tbilisi to Georgia's old capital Mskheta. On the way we visit Jvari Monastery where we get some amazing views of Mtskheta. We struggle to get a ride into town, but finally make it and we have our first Georgian lunch this journey. We decide to try our luck hitchhiking up to Shio-Mgvime Monastery to check out the caves and find a secluded camping spot, and so we do, next to a small little church from the 12th century. And, check out that view!!!Â

fter 6 weeks in amazing Turkey we're finally moving on to our next country, GEORGIA. We're continuing our journey with Iskender, a Turkish truck driver who picked us up in 30 kilometres from the border. We're on our way to the capital Tbilisi but things don't really work out the way we had planned and we're ending up having a rather interesting night. We eventually arrive in Tbilisi and since we didn't explore this city last year, due to a heatwave, we're super excited to take you guys with us and explore this welcoming and picturesque city.Â

We're back where our Turkish adventure started last year and where it ends this year. We're in Arhavi on the Black Sea Coast and we're staying in the same little fishing house as last year, belonging to our favourite Turkish family. We spend 5 days chilling and exploring the surrounding areas with our Turkish brother, Suleyman. We couldn't have asked for a better Turkish adventure. Enjoy this last leg in Turkey with us and we'll see you in Georgia in the next one.Â

After 5 days in Mardin with food poisining and a heatwave we make our way north, towards the Black Sea. We'd been warned that this part of Turkey (East Turkey) can be dangerous to travel through, but is that really true? Unfortunately we get picked up by a real sleeze ball who temporarily puts us off hitchhiking but with the help of some really amazing and generous drivers and a lovely Kurdish family in Bingöl, we manage to hold it together all the 820 kilometres to the Black Sea where our lovely Turkish family from series 1 awaits us.Â
