Important Announcement!
It is with a heavy heart that I say I am done writing on Tumblr.
I gave it a lot of thought, and I realized that it would be best for me to stop writing. I just don't have the time, and all the stories I have written over the years have just drained my creativity. I can't go on writing asks anymore, which is why (I am sorry to those who sent me some) I am clearing out my inventory. If I return to write, it will be my own ideas. But again, motivation has been gone for a while.
I am not getting rid of my accounts. I want people to appreciate all the ideas and stories my precious followers have helped me create. Speaking of that, I never wanted to ghost you guys because I am super stoked that you read and liked what I wrote, which is why I type up this announcement with a heavy heart.
Furthermore, I am moving my favorite and most popular works from some of my fandoms to my Archiveofourown (The_Ginger_Masquerader45) account. And that is where I might continue to write my own stories for my fandoms, which I might copy over to Tumblr.
Until then, I thank you all for being wonderful! And I hope you live your lives to the fullest!

I know it's been a while guys, but I hope everyone is doing well. This may be a mistake on my part XD, since I still have some stories to write for another fandom, but I'm turning asks on again! I'm still busy, but I don't want to push this off anymore.
Have a good day/night!

Hello! If you feel like it, could you write something for Geralt x reader? Reader is touch starved and doesn't want to initiate affection, but Geralt catches on bc she relaxes when their shoulders brush or when he pats her shoulder. One day he's had enough of her being so uptight, so he holds her and she just goes boneless with relief.
I relate to this so much Anon, putting my own feelings in this one❤️😂 Hope you enjoy! Sorry if it's jumbled, I was in a state when I wrote this XD
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Witcher's Senses
You forget that a witcher has enhanced senses. Funny enough, Geralt doesn't really need them to figure out your problem.
Tumblr media
Most men don't understand, but witchers are even more ignorant. They don't have the need to be held, the need to be touched. Not like a woman like you needs. And you don't just mean "touched" because not all touch is good. Some touch is selfish, uncomfortable, and lacking all mannerisms of a proper gentleman.
No. You want touch to be gentle, full of love.
Geralt was the only man that you could share this with-without his knowledge. Witchers weren't exactly ones for holding hands or exchanging hugs. The only affection they ever receive is from a one night stand that they paid for with their gold from a gruesome hunt. The closest you've ever been to Geralt with his knowledge is when you had to clean his wounds after a dicey encounter with a leshen or a werewolf.
But you needed more. You craved more from him.
"Y/N, can you tie up Roach." It was a command from Geralt, who wasn't looking at you as he handed you the leather reins. You eyed his hand, the way his fingers gently caressed the leather.
"Yeah." You said softly, reaching out to grab hold of the horse. And then, your fingers touched.
You lingered, lingered longer than expected. His skin was rough, but also very warm. You loved it, you loved the feeling that you haven't had in years. You didn't care that he was a witcher. He was still a man that had warm skin and a gentle aura about him. His touch made you relax. Softly, you began to smile to yourself.
"Y/N, Roach is getting anxious." Geralt's voice snapped you out of your thoughts, and you realized that he had let go of the reins long ago, his touch gone. You blushed in embarrassment when he finally heard Roach pawing the ground.
Mumbling an apology, you led the mare to a nearby tree, Geralt's gaze following you the whole way.
He wasn't stupid.
Jaskier might call him uncaring, ignorant, and hardy but the witcher was actually quite the opposite. He had better sight, better hearing, and a better sense of smell than most men. But even with all that, he struggles to read people sometimes. You were shy, didn't say much to him, but your eyes held so much emotion. But you, you were more obvious than you probably wanted.
When you pretend to trip and bump into him, your heartrate softens.
When he pats your shoulder after a fearful encounter, your muscles relax.
When you grab something from him and your fingers touch, your eyes glow and you smile to yourself.
You longed for touch. You needed it, but you didn't want anyone to know that. You were scared to initiate contact, which Geralt sensed when you were just around him. Your quick breathing, nervousness, and raised heartrate. You were uneasy because you lacked the touch you craved, that only he seemed to be able to give you.
Now with the knowledge he had, Geralt was confused. Why did you seek him out?
He was a witcher, covered in scars and years of abuse. He didn't know what a soft touch felt like unless he paid for it. Geralt didn't know how to give you what you wanted, however, you seemed to know. You were pretty, so it shouldn't be hard for him. Despite all the negative things that Jaskier has said about him, he always has mentioned that Geralt has more of a heart than most witchers.
Perhaps Geralt just needs to find that heart and give it to you.
So, one night, he did.
You guys were sitting by the fire, Roach was grazing nearby, and Geralt just got done putting things away. He then moved to sit next to you. Close to you. Immediately, his senses picked up your beating heart and nervous sweat. You weren't the only one nervous. Geralt was too. However, he cared about you, he knew what you needed and how he could give it.
The witcher scooted closer and placed an arm around you, pulling you into his chest.
"Geralt?" Your voice was small, face extremely red. The witcher, however, was calm as he rubbed his calloused hand over your shoulder to soothe you.
"Shh...just relax." Geralt said and you did. It was like you melted at his warm touch. Every organ in your body immediately calmed down; your heartrate slowed, breathing slowed, and everything else just relaxed. You sighed pleasantly, finding yourself moving closer to him out of impulse.
"Why are you doing this?" You couldn't stop yourself from asking him, the warmth from both him and the fire easing you. The fire light flickered in his cat-like eyes as he swallowed nervously.
"Because I needed it. I needed your touch." He told you, smiling a bit. Relief seemed to fill in your eyes as you took in his words. Every time that you were afraid to initiate any form of contact was just your nerves getting the best of you. Geralt said he needed you, just like you needed him. You nuzzled your head into his shoulder.
However, Geralt said that to ease you, or that's what he thought.
But he found himself relaxing at your touch as well.

Hey guys, I’m sorry to say this, but I need to take a break for a while.
I recently got some hate on a post and I’m not taking it very well. The will to write has been taken from me for a bit, so I need to step away and evaluate things.
I promise I will resume when I feel able. I haven’t forgot about all my lovely followers who are kind enough to keep me writing. But this time, I just need to take some steps away. I know I make mistakes, I just don’t get why people need to be so cruel about it. When I answer like an adult, why can’t they give me the same respect? I explained things, even if it’s wrong, so why do I need to get hurt about it?
Sorry about all that.
I thank you for your patience. Know I appreciate each and every one of you.💖

Could you write a story where the reader's whole body aches, but reader keeps it secret from Geralt? I personally have a health issue so I've terrible pains especially in the mornings...
I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you enjoy this story then!💖
And sorry for the long wait...I've been feeling down for a while and going through some stuff, so sorry if things ever take a while. I have other stories on other blogs I'm still sorting through as well, but I'm posting this now cause I feel bad. Stay lovely everyone, and I hope you feeling happy and having good times!💖
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Body Aches
In hopes to not worry the witcher, you try to keep your body pain to yourself. But you forget that a witcher has such keen senses.
Tumblr media
You woke up the same way every day, with painful aches all over your body. There was no reason that you could entirely pinpoint that would explain it. You've done nothing taxing to make your body do this. It was just something that has become a part of your daily routine.
But you kept it to yourself.
Geralt stayed with you. Your house was a sanctuary that he could come to rest and heal, and because of that, you didn't want to worry him with any health issues that you had. The witcher had enough to deal with when it came to beasts and demons, and you saw how he was when he came back. Tired.
He didn't need to worry about you, especially when your demon couldn't be hunted down and killed.
But no matter how hard you try, keeping it secret wasn't exactly an option.
You woke up that morning, trying your best to not wake Geralt, who was asleep beside you. Your whole body ached to the point that moving even a bit caused you to whimper in pain. In truth, you were quiet enough that you figured that no one would be able to hear you, and you could keep this a secret for a while longer.
However, Geralt was a witcher.
"Alright. I've had it. What's wrong?" Geralt's voice caused you to scream and nearly fall off the bed, making more pain shoot through your body.
Turning around, you noticed that it looked like he just woke up. White hair disheveled, sweat from whatever nightmare or hot dream he had, and he was still shirtless. However, his eyes were clear, like he had been awake for hours.
"W-What do you mean?" You tried to play it cool, keeping your muscles as still as they could possibly be. But it was hard, and Geralt saw right through you.
"For hours now you've been shuffling around, uncomfortable. I could hear you whimpering. And it wasn't just this morning either." Geralt said and you wanted to go and hide yourself in a hole. He's known, and it's been for days.
You forgot about a witcher's super human hearing. You blushed in shame.
"So, I ask you again...what's wrong?" Geralt pressed further, sitting up more to look at you. You played with your hands a bit before sighing.
"It's just...my body aches randomly. I don't know why or how or what to do about it." You confessed, tucking some hair behind your ear. Geralt nodded to himself, remaining calm.
"Why not tell me?" He asked. It was a fair enough question, and you figured you had a fair enough answer. However, with the way his cat-eyes were boring into you, you thought otherwise.
"I didn't want to worry or burden you...you have enough going on." You told him and he fought the urge to tell you otherwise because your feelings were valid. But still, you shouldn't need to keep secrets like this.
"I was going to worry either way, but now that it's out in the open, I can help." Geralt said, moving the subject along so you don't dwell on any guilt or other feelings you might have in this situation.
You gave him a perplexed look.
"No offense Geralt, but you aren't exactly Mister Healing Hands. There's nothing that can be done." You said in defeat, knowing this is exactly what would happen. He would find out and want to help, but there is none. No healer could make it go away, so why could he.
"I can't, but perhaps Triss or Yen can." He offered the assistance of the sorceresses, and you smiled faintly. You didn't want to bring them into this, but perhaps magic would be your answer.
And Geralt looked like he wasn't going to back down.
"Thank you..." Was all you could say at the moment, and that's when Geralt laid back down again.
"Good. Now, let's try to get a bit more sleep. If you can't, please tell me this time." The witcher said, and you agreed before slowly moving to lay beside him.
You thought it was good to keep this to yourself, but you felt such a weight off your shoulders knowing that he not only knew, but that he cared as well.
With his assistance, maybe the pain can finally go away.

I'd like to read a story where reader is a bit drunk and sitting on Geralt's lap, while he's playing Gwent with Zoltan in a tavern. She doesn't know how to play, so she watches their playing. I think that would be sweet 🥺💕
Another round of Gwent coming up XD Hope you enjoy!❤️ Sorry if it’s short!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another Round of Gwent
A bit tipsy, you observe a round of Gwent between Zoltan and Geralt.
Tumblr media
“Geralt...he’s going to steal all your coins.” You whined slightly, causing the witcher to chuckle a bit.
Right now, you guys were in the famous Chameleon for a night of fun and relaxation. Geralt was in Novigrad for a bit, having to deal with nekurat problems in the sewers, so you guys were here for a while. Upon entering Dandelion’s renowned establishment, you guys were met with greetings, drinks, and Zoltan challenging Geralt to a round of Gwent.
“Ya just got a whole bunch of coin...why not wager it in a game of cards?”
You didn’t know how to play Gwent really. All the cards and what they can do in what combos just got all too confusing for you. So, instead, Dandelion stole you and bought you a drink or two. That only lasted for a short while because soon his chatter became too much for you. But thankfully, he was called away by Priscilla.
Your tipsy mind had you wander back over to Geralt.
“There’s your lass, Geralt! Here to watch you lose!” Zoltan said with a laugh as he laid down another card that brought him up several points. The witcher cursed under his breath before flashing you a smile.
“I hope Dandelion didn’t give you too much to drink.” He said and you grinned before pinching your fingers together.
“Just enough.” You said with a slight giggle. Geralt was about to say more, but Zoltan interrupted.
“Your turn!” The dwarf prodded the witcher, eager to claim victory. Geralt sighed irritably while looking at you to his cards.
“Can I watch?” You asked, twirling some hair around your finger. The witcher grinned at you before scooting his chair back a bit and gesturing to his lap.
“Best seat in the house.” He said with a suggestive grin. You returned the gesture before placing your arms around his neck and swinging into his lap. Geralt maneuvered his arms into a better position where he could still see his cards and you were comfortable. Then you gave him a kiss on the cheek, his white stubble tickling your lips.
“Give me a break...” Zoltan muttered while shaking his head, playing another card after Geralt finally played his. You watched the game even though you didn’t understand it much. Then you looked at Geralt’s cards.
“Is it a good thing when they all have a one by them Geralt?” You asked, alcohol taking over you as you glanced at the cards that he obviously wanted to keep a secret. The witcher quickly shoved his cards into one hand and covered your mouth with the other.
Zoltan couldn’t contain his laughter.
The game ended how you would’ve expected it to. Good thing Geralt didn’t end up betting all his coin because he gave at least half of it to Zoltan. It wasn’t just his terrible cards though. You were distracting him a lot as well. Your hands playing with his hair, subtle kisses on his neck, and so forth. At least, that was the excuse he kept bringing up whenever Zoltan started bragging.
“Perhaps you could teach me to play, Geralt. It looked kind of fun.” You asked the witcher, who nodded in agreement.
“Only when you win, but sure. We can practice some time. At least I have some money left over.” He agreed and you beamed. Then Zoltan spoke up from across the table.
“Ya still got some coin? So...” He started slyly, flipping one of Geralt’s coins in his hand.
“...does this mean another round of Gwent?”

A Trip Down Memory Lane
While searching for Ciri, Geralt’s trail leads to you, a woman he was once very close to.
Tumblr media
It’s not like Geralt has a lot of intel. Not so many people kept in touch with a witcher, but Geralt was desperate for information on Ciri. Yennefer was in Skellige, Triss was in the wind, and his fellow witchers couldn’t do much to help. However, there was always one man he could rely on in cases like this.
Dandelion.
The bard didn’t have much information as to where Ciri was of course because he’s Dandelion. That said, he’s still able to help Geralt in some shape or form. Apparently, Dandelion was supposed to be sent to prison or executed or something for crimes that Geralt wasn’t entirely sure of. He was saved by a mutual friend of theirs.
He was saved by you.
Your history with the witcher is rocky. Like with most women, you fell in love with Geralt and him you. But things didn’t work out, like always. Yennefer came along and sparked things back up with your witcher, making him leave you. You had similar powers to Yennefer, but that apparently didn’t matter much. Because of this, you guys haven’t spoken for a long while.
But according to Dandelion (loosely translated), you were in Novigrad. And even more so, you encountered Ciri.
It was the one thing that motivated him to see you again.
Being a user of magic of any kind meant you had to hide well in Novigrad, but that didn’t stop Geralt from finding your home. It was just where he remembered it to be all those years ago. I guess the witch hunters left you be for the most part, leaving the real work to sorceresses who are causing problems and actively using magic.
As he walked up to your door, he felt a pit open up in his stomach. The witcher doesn’t fear much, but this worries him. When you guys left, things weren’t on good terms. But if you cared for Ciri, then you most still hold some care for him.
Right?
He knocked on your door, waiting for what felt like forever for a response. Geralt was so deep in thought that he barely heard a familiar voice that sent a chill down his spine.
“Why are you here?” Your voice caused his cat-like eyes to flicker down and meet your own e/c eyes. They were narrowed and you didn’t seem so happy as you peeked out from behind your door.
“You should know why...Ciri.” The witcher rolled his shoulders, bringing his composure back to him. You might’ve been an ex-lover, but you still had information on his surrogate daughter.
“Figures...come in I guess.” You said while frowning a bit. Still, you opened the door for Geralt to come in your home, which still hasn’t changed much.
The tension was there, and the conversation was awkward. You did admit that you housed Ciri, confessing that you too had a soft spot for the young woman. Geralt was pleased to hear that, but the faraway look in your eyes told him that you weren’t too happy about it. He then changed the subject and asked about your magic, which made you confess that Novigrad wasn’t too happy about magic anymore, so you didn’t do it as often.
“Look, I just housed her for a while. I know nothing else.” You told him, a clear sign that you were ready for him to leave. But Geralt had other plans.
“Wait. I could use your help.” He said in a serious manner, and you were flabbergasted.
“Me? Why?” You asked while folding your arms.
“Yen’s in Skellige, I can’t find Triss, and Dandelion is less than helpful when it comes to actually helping me. I need someone like you to help me find some clues.” Geralt thought that he explained himself rather well, but he sometimes forgets that he’s talking to a woman, much less a woman he used to have close contact with. You glared at him.
“So, I’m last pick? Again? It’s always like that with you. Just using who you need at the moment till their not needed anymore.” You growled at him, but Geralt kept his composure. He knew you were hurt, and he knew it was wrong to ask you for help. But he really was running out of options.
“It’s not like that Y/N. I know you don’t want to help me but do it for Ciri. Please. She’s in danger. This you know.” Geralt pleaded with you as your eyes glared out the window nearby. You gripped yourself as you kept your arms crossed as you mulled this over. Eventually, with a slightly flustered expression, you spoke up.
“Alright. I’ll help.”
The two of you left Novigrad that very same day to continue the search. The city itself was too dangerous for Ciri to have stayed. At least, that’s what you told Geralt. Plus, if she stuck around, it would’ve been known. With a goodbye to Dandelion, who truly hoped that you guys would have luck, you guys were back in Velen.
Little did you know, it was the bard’s plan to get you guys back together. It was he who sent Geralt to you, was it not? Yennefer scares him too much, so he can’t support that. You were perfect for Geralt, and as the witcher’s wingman, Dandelion was going to make this happen.
He knew your feelings never left.
“Sorry if it tastes like shit. You know I was never a good cook.” Geralt said with a slight smile. You laughed in spite of everything as you guys made camp for the night in one of Velen’s less nasty swampy areas. Geralt had caught a fish, and now here you were.
“You almost burned my house down.” You said with a grin. Geralt eyed you from his place poking the fire.
“Almost.” He re-clarified, and you laughed again. You hated to admit this, but it felt like old times again, when he loved you. Not that Geralt hated you, but you knew he had this thing with Yennefer. You also knew that as a grown woman, you should respect that, but you can’t help but feel that pang in your heart whenever you thought about that.
It wasn’t your fault. You still loved him.
“Y/N, something’s bugging you.” Geralt’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts. Looking at him, you noticed his gaze was in your direction as he ignored the fire.
“You don’t know that.” You immediately defended yourself, and Geralt gave you a look that said “really”.
“I’m a witcher, I can sense it. Also, your magic always gives you away.” He said while pointing towards the base of the log. Looking down, you noticed all the grass and flowers that were by your feet had turned dark and died. You grumbled to yourself, hating how your magic does little things like that when you’re emotional.
“So, you gonna tell me what’s bugging you?” Geralt pressed again, this time moving to sit next to you, his eyes never leaving your form. You pressed your lips in a thin line. Shuffling slightly, your knee nudged against his, causing a bunch of old feelings to resurface. Your face turned red, and you knew that Geralt could hear your heart speed up.
“I still love you, Geralt...” You confessed quietly, moving to hug yourself.
There was no change in Geralt’s stature or emotion. He continued to stare at you with that neutral expression, blinking every so often as he looked at your softly.
“Y/N...” He started to say, sadness in his heart.
“I know you have that whole thing with Yennefer, but isn’t it just a djinn’s magic? I’m not saying you guys don’t love each other, but I just can’t stop my own feelings. It may be selfish, but I-” You started to say, but Geralt cut you off by saying your name again.
“Y/N. Enough. I understand.” Geralt said, putting a gentle yet strong hand on your shoulder. You froze at his touch. The witcher sighed through his nose, loosening his grip a bit on your shoulder.
“And you’re right. Yen and I are connected by magic...and perhaps if it’s broken, then my true feelings will be revealed. If it’s you or her, then that will be decided. But for now, let’s just enjoy each other’s company.” Geralt said with a slight smile.
That wasn’t quite the answer you were looking for, but it wasn’t entirely a hopeless answer either. His true emotions were clouded by a djinn’s spell, so perhaps you were the one for him. And he was right. Until that was decided, you could enjoy him right here and now.
That’s why you didn’t stop Geralt when he kissed you.
And once again, your magic acted out before you could think. The dead plants by your feet began to grow again, causing flowers to bloom beautifully. However, the romantics of the scene began to fade as the smell of something burning caught your guys’ attention. Looking towards the fire, you realized that Geralt’s cooking skills haven’t changed a bit.
“Geralt!”
“Shit!”

The Werewolf Witch of The Witcherverse (Part 3)
After making sure you were safe at your friend’s place, Geralt continues his search for Ciri. However, a letter changes his plans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He wanted to make sure that you were safe and taken care of. After everything that’s happened between you two, Geralt wants you to know that he cares. However, he knew that leaving you on your own was a bad idea. So, the witcher left you in the care of one of your only friends, Shyla.
“I promise to look after her.” She said quietly to Geralt, who nodded. After receiving that confirmation, he said goodbye to you and continued his search for Ciri. You knew he had to, but you still couldn’t help but feel like you were just tossed aside.
Did you mean anything to him?
Around a month later...
It was never good when a letter was sent to him. Geralt was a hard man to find regardless, so when a letter that’s addressed to him makes it into his hands, he gets worried. And upon reading the shaky handwriting from Shyla, Geralt knew that there was a problem.
You were in trouble.
Geralt got on Roach and sped back to your village as fast as he could. Ciri’s been waiting for a while now, she could a little longer. Right now, you were someone who needed his help. The witcher always knew that your werewolf and witch powers would cause problems, and that those problems would never stop so long as you stayed in that simple-minded village. But after reading that you could get yourself killed, knew he had to spring into action.
When he arrived in town, Roach huffing and puffing, he saw chaos like the time when he came to get you before. But this time was a lot bloodier. You were fighting a group of people with your magic. Geralt recognized them as the same people who threatened you before.
Now he knew what Shyla meant when she wrote that he needed to get here quickly. Geralt took no time in drawing his steel sword and approaching the battling mob. His mere presence alone caused some people to stop the fighting, but others needed some more persuasion.
“Enough. Back off, everyone.” Geralt said in his deep and dangerous tone, wrist flicking his steel sword every so often as he walked aggressively towards the people, causing them to back off.
You turned around to finally see the reason for the break.
“Geralt...” You mumbled under your breath as you felt irritation prick at your skin. As the witcher moved towards the crowd, you moved to walk away from the people you were fighting, feeling more pissed that Geralt felt the need to intervene.
“Wait. We need to talk.” Geralt said, using his other arm to grab at yours closest to him. This caused you to stop in your tracks, but you refused to look at him. He squeezed your arm a bit harder, trying to provoke you to, but it wasn’t working.
“Let me go.” You warned him, a growl on the edge of your voice. It reminded Geralt that he wasn’t dealing with a human woman.
“Nah witcher! Take her to the witch hunters!” A man shouted and several others backed him up. Several cusses and names followed his statement as the people you were brawling with regained their courage.
“Mutt!”
“Beast!”
“Sorceress bitch!”
“Can’t you see what she’s done?!”
You’ve heard enough, and angrily ripped your arm out of Geralt’s grip with strength that was far from human. Shooting him a glare, you quickened your pace to leave town. You were tempted to do so as a werewolf, but you didn’t need a reason for them to shout more at you, so you just used your two legs to get you out of town as soon as possible.
Geralt turned to watch you leave, slowly putting his sword back.
The witcher could feel the eyes of the townspeople on his back as he kept his back to them. Before any of them could say anything (or before Geralt could scold them), he went to follow you, unbeknownst to you. A pat on Roach’s neck was all Geralt did before using his witcher senses to follow your tracks out of town and into the forest.
He caught sight of you once or twice, making sure to keep quiet, but he eventually heard you more than anything.
He heard you start to cry. One of those pitiful choking cries, like you were trying so hard not to. Geralt wanted to confront you, but when he heard you start to talk with yourself, the urge to eavesdrop was too great.
“Why...? Why can’t I be normal? A human being...not some animal or witch...” You mumbled to yourself, looking at your hands as tears dropped onto your wrists. Geralt was stunned to hear that. He thought you were a little bit proud of your heritage.
“Maybe if I was normal...Geralt would love me? If I didn’t cause problems...If I was more elegant and had more self-control...like Yennefer. He always wants her, not out of necessity, but actual want...Why can’t I get that?” You cried to yourself, moving to wrap your arms around your body in a much needed hug. It was a part of you that Geralt wasn’t expecting to see nor hear.
“I hate myself!” You suddenly exploded, a wolf-like growl coming out of your throat as you punched the ground, leaving quite an impact. However, your werewolf outburst may not have turned you, but it did heighten your senses.
And you immediately smelled the witcher.
“Geralt! What the hell are you doing here?” You hissed in his direction, wiping off any stray tears and folding your arms in an angry manner. The witcher was quick to reveal his hiding location, his expression unreadable.
“I wanted to make sure you were okay. Not about to do anything stupid.” Geralt said while mimicking your stature, folding his arms as well. You simply scoffed, turning your head away from him.
Suddenly, Geralt dropped his arms by his side and sighed.
“You know I heard all of that...do you truly feel that way? Hate yourself?” Geralt asked, his cat-like eyes trying to read any change in your form for an answer. Your eyes narrowed slightly as the grip on your forearms tightened, clearly uncomfortable with the topic.
“A bit yeah...” You said in such a vulnerable manner.
“Do you think I don’t love you? Can’t love you?” Geralt asked, taking a couple steps closer. You grew flustered, face all red, but you didn’t move from that spot. All your senses were telling you that you were gonna enjoy this.
“A little bit...” You admitted, and soon you felt Geralt’s hand move to your cheek. Part of you wanted to bite him, but the very thought made you blush. You knew that Geralt could feel the heat of your cheek and sense your pounding heart.
“Can I prove you wrong?” He whispered and your head was spinning.
You wanted to say no just to spite him, just to encourage your own beliefs that he only wanted Yennefer. But a chance to be woven together with the witcher you loved, even if it was out of lust. All your senses were tingling in anticipation, and they eventually overloaded your brain to the point where you weren’t even thinking.
“Yes. Yes, please prove me wrong.” You whispered back to Geralt, the hint of a pleading moan on your lips. As soon as the sound left your mouth, he went down on your lips, kissing you violently.
The two wolves inside of you both exploded into a passionate display.
His tongue explored your mouth with such purpose, more so than any other man. You did the same to him, enjoying the flavor of Geralt inside your mouth. The two of you were soon on the ground, tangled in each other’s limbs as your lips refused to leave each other.
This is what you were waiting for such a long time.
The two of you spent the whole day out there in the woods, exploring each other. He took you to places that you never thought possible, and Yennefer didn’t cross your mind once as Geralt worshipped you like a goddess.
You were sure the whole town could hear you guys.
But the day ended in bliss, with skin touching skin as Geralt explored every bit of you, inside and out. You were loving every second of it, and you couldn’t wait to do it again.
The wolf inside you howled very loud that night.

The Werewolf Witch of The Witcherverse (Part 2)
After the last events, Geralt leaves to continue his search. However, no word from you has him coming back to investigate. And he doesn’t like what he finds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After what he did to help you, you were indebted to him and promised to let him know if you discover anything about Ciri. The relationship that was fractured between you guys seemed to be mended slightly, so Geralt left you with a heavy heart.
It’s been around a week.
Lacking his own leads, the witcher decided to see if you found anything worth looking into to. He hasn’t heard from you, but he figured you must be busy or something. Or perhaps you’ve found nothing. It has only been a week.
As Roach rode into town, Geralt got the peace he was expecting when he first came to find you. However, that peace was soon ruined when his ears caught the sound of running footsteps and heavy breathing. Looking past Roach’s head, he recognized your friend, Shyla.
“Master Witcher! Is Y/N with you?” The urgency in her voice, along with the fact that she looked like she was crying, caused Geralt to go on red alert. Also, the scent of fear was strong in the air.
“What? No. She’s not here?” Geralt asked in an urgent tone and Shyla quickly shook her head, wiping a stray tear from her eye. This caused the witcher to go into contract mode and asked the woman when it was you were last seen as calmly as his nerves would let him.
“A-A few days ago...some strange boys were hanging about on the other side of town and-” Her voice was cut off as Roach sprung into a gallop to bring her master to the spot your friend described, leaving her behind. After all, he was a witcher and was going to handle this alone.
Sure enough, as he slowed Roach down, his sensitive eyes recognized faint boot prints in the dirt. He has no other evidence, but these outsiders were the only clue he had to follow.
“Run Roach!” He ordered as he kicked the mare’s sides to follow the tracks out of the village. As he did so, he soon reached the heart of the forest, where the tracks were lost.
“Dammit...” Geralt muttered as he hoped off Roach, leaving the horse to wander. The witcher walked a couple paces before kneeling down to the ground, brushing some foliage away. However, as he was focused on what was before him, he was unaware of what was around him.
A dull sting in his neck was all he felt before everything went black...
When Geralt came to, he couldn’t see much of anything. However, his other senses told him he wasn’t alone. He could hear labored breathing, and it wasn’t too long before he heard the whine of an animal, sounding like a dog.
That’s when his witcher senses kicked in.
Geralt’s vision was coming back, and he realized he was in what looked like a cell. It was dark and dreary, complete with rats. But he was more concerned as to what made the sound he heard earlier. And when he looked around a bit, his eyes met that of a wolf’s. A werewolf to be exact.
Now, Geralt was no animal whisperer, but looking at the beast he knew...
“Y/N?” He asked and the wolf looked up at him, bearing familiar gorgeous e/c eyes. You appeared shocked at him being here, but you didn’t seem to have the energy to do much else. Plus, you looked half-dead.
As Geralt observed you, he realized you were chained up and muzzled. You could hardly move a few feet from where you were. Geralt couldn’t even reach you, but he had a feeling you were in your wolf form for a reason. Protection maybe.
Looking at himself, Geralt realized he was in the same chained state as you. But he was much more physically fit than you at the moment, and that’s what concerned him.
He knew werewolves, and he knew this is not what one was supposed to look like. Your fur was matted, some was missing, and some had dried blood in it. He noticed some cuts and bruises on the areas where fur was thin, like the chest and face. You were also thin, thinner than any creature ever should be. It made his blood boil.
“Who did this to you?” He asked coldly, but he knew you couldn’t answer. And then the door to the cell opened, revealing a bunch of nasty and burly looking men. Like with most situations, even when he was pissed as hell, Geralt tried to keep his cool.
“Hello mutant,” one of the men, leader most likely, spat at Geralt, “welcome to your first day at my fighting ring.”
As the man was talking to Geralt, the witcher was more hyper aware as to what was going on with you. He his ears and eyes lock onto what was going on past the man’s head. The other men, around three, had circled you, and Geralt has never seen you look so scared.
“Bad dog! Should’ve fought harder!” One of them shouted at you before giving look a swift kick in the jaw. Your pitiful whine broke Geralt’s heart.
“We’ve tamed ourselves a big bad wolf! Sit! Lay! Play dead!” On each command a man shouted, another would forcefully kick you in that position till you a motionless puddle on the ground that was barely breathing.
“You want your freedom? You have to fight for it!” Another shouted.
At this point, the leader talking to Geralt noticed he was watching. But when Geralt thought he couldn’t watch anymore, the leader grabbed his jaw and forced him to continue.
“Take a good look mutant. This is the scum I’m gonna have you deal with later.” He growled before his men finished with you. The witcher forced his face out of the other man’s hands before giving him a glare. Then the men turned to leave but not without one more taunt for you.
“Careful witcher, touch it and you might catch the mange!” They all shouted and laughed until it faded away in the distance. He was left alone with you, who was whimpering and laying on the ground as your wounds bled fresh blood.
He hated himself at this moment. You were in such agony and there was nothing Geralt could do to help you. Fighting ring? He didn’t like the sound of that one bit. And from the looks of it, they were planning on having him fight you, most likely killing you.
“I’m sorry Y/N...there was nothing...” Geralt tried to explain, feeling fresh rage bubble over him. But you didn’t even look in his direction. Must not have the strength to do so, he supposed.
Hours passed by with Geralt pacing as far as his own restraints would allow him. But when he looked back over at you, you were a human.
“Geralt...how did you get here?” You asked weakly, but he was just relieved to hear your voice.
“I heard you were missing...followed some tracks, and now I’m here.” Geralt said and he wanted to ask so many more questions, but with the fact that you weren’t even looking at him told him not to.
“I’m getting us out of here.” He told you confidently, but you still wouldn’t look.
Now, chained up in a tiny cell might look hopeless, but Geralt has been through worse. Much worse. Call it adrenaline, or witcher strength, or a combination of the two, but he was able to pull his restraints from the wall, freeing himself. He was able to do the same to you as well, being gentle in the process. Finding a half-bent nail isn’t bad either, allowing him to undo the chains completely, freeing you both entirely.
“Alright. You ready?” Geralt looked at you with a slight smile that completely vanished when he saw you. You looked so beaten and weak. Your heart was pitifully slow, and Geralt was now concerned if you were even going to survive this.
But no. You didn’t suffer through all that to have it end like this.
Using Aard, he blasted through the stone wall that revealed the pine trees of the outside world where even the sun was shining. Knowing that guards or someone would be on their way, the witcher was quick to scoop you in his arms and call for Roach.
Like the loyal horse she was, she appeared, and you guys got out of there.
Geralt ran that horse as much as she would let him before you guys got to the edge of a clearing. You were like dead weight in his arms, but you were still breathing so there was hope. Urging Roach to cross the clearing, he reached a stream. He figured this would be good enough.
“Easy now.” He said to both you and the horse as he dismounted carefully before sliding you into his arms. You said nothing as he set you down and put together a small camp.
Then he went to tend to your wounds.
“Like hell I’m going to let you die.” He said as he tried to patch up any open cuts he could see. Geralt also grabbed some food from his saddlebags that he was going to try and cook up for you in hopes that you would eat. However, your eyes could barely open, and the witcher knew that time wasn’t on your side.
So, Geralt took a risk.
He brewed a Swallow potion and watered it down for you to drink. Geralt knew that witcher potions were dangerous to for anything else to ingest, but he hoped that by diluting it, it would give you strength instead of death. It was his last hope at this point, so when you drank it, he prayed to all the gods above that you would be spared.
Sleep didn’t come easy that night.
But when he woke the next morning expecting to find a corpse, he saw you still laying there but your eyes were open.
It was quiet, but he swore he heard a thank you.

The Werewolf Witch of The Witcherverse
You are an old friend of Geralt’s, a powerful friend at that. He asks you to help him in his search for Ciri when problems arise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’ve known Geralt since forever. Him being a witcher and you being a witch meant that the years didn’t matter. Both of you were old but didn’t quite look it. You’ve known him since his childhood, since he first became a witcher and then some. Vice versa, he knew all about you as well, even the fact that you are a werewolf as well as a witch, a werewolf that can control its transformation. A rare combo in his eyes.
But he would never kill you. No matter what you do.
However, when he claimed the Law of Surprise and took Ciri in, as well as all that went down with Triss and Yennefer, Yen especially, you wanted nothing to do with the witcher anymore. In truth, you felt a little betrayed, and it wasn’t just for the lingering feelings you held for him.
It seems he holds a spell for all the women, human or not. So, you didn’t ever really care to see him again. But destiny must love to see you suffer.
You got this dreadful letter.
Y/N,
I need your help in finding Ciri.
-Geralt
Your anger at seeing this nearly made your magic burn it. However, you knew that the witcher was a blunt man, and you told yourself you were doing this for Ciri. You didn’t want to see Geralt again but sent a letter back to him agreeing to help with the search regardless.
A few days after, there was a knock on your door. Now, as the village witch, you were used to people coming and asking for help or herbs. But as a werewolf, it could also mean trouble from hunters. And it could be Geralt and right now, you didn’t know what you wanted the answer to be.
But when you opened your door, you realized that Geralt was definitely the lesser of the evils...
When the witcher arrived at your village, it was nostalgic. Not much has changed since he last saw you, even the place where you lived. However, the peace he expected the place to have changed when his sensitive ears caught the sound of people yelling. Geralt quickly rushed over, swords clanging on his back, to investigate the disturbance.
“You belong on a pyre, just like your mother you witch!” A man shouted, bearing the obvious love for the Eternal Fire. A witch hunter supporter.
“Or at the end of a witcher’s sword, just like her father!” A young woman shouted in regard to your dad, who held the werewolf gene that you now carry.
Geralt was surprised to see all these people, who he wondered even if they lived in this town, harassing you with rude comments. Some that held personal information that they had no right to discuss. You were standing there, taking it all in and keeping your mouth shut.
“C’mon sorceress! Attack us so we can call the witch hunters!” Another said.
“You want this to end? Then make us!” Someone added and you clenched your fists. You knew you held tremendous power that could make them all shut up for good, but you also knew that it’s just what they wanted. But a new comment caused your attention to be diverted.
“There’s a witcher! We could hire him to hunt her!” A man said and your eyes locked with Geralt’s, whom the circle of abusers have parted to let through. However, a tiny bit of smugness grew within you when you saw Geralt scowl at all of them, anger you’ve rarely seen in those cat-like eyes.
“All of you need to go home now, or else things will get bloody.” He threatened and people could clearly see now who’s side he was on. They followed his words quickly, leaving just you and him alone.
“Hello...Geralt.” You said quietly as you composed yourself. He nodded at your greeting, giving a small smile in return as his own blood cooled.
“Y/N, does this happen often?” He asked you and you simply shrugged. Once or twice, you’ll get little comments like that, but this was rare to receive an entire crowd. Most people didn’t mind your powers if you could control them.
“Sometimes, but that doesn’t matter now. We’ve to look for Ciri, no?” You quickly changed the subject before disappearing into your home to grab some things you would need for the journey. Geralt was a bit worried about you but knew better than to bring it up.
“Got everything?” He asked when you returned. You nodded and the two of you moved to leave the village, Geralt and you grabbing Roach and H/N along the way.
“I must ask Geralt, why didn’t you employ Yennefer’s help?” You asked after you both mounted. As the horses leisurely walked out of town, Geralt felt his body tense up. He never liked to bring up the sorceress around you. That was bad blood if he ever saw it. But he also knew it was bad not to answer your questions.
“She is.” He simply said and out of the corner of his eye, he could see your brow twitch a bit in irritation.
“I meant that our powers are very similar as sorceresses. You don’t need me, so why go through all the trouble? I could be needed elsewhere.” You informed him and Geralt gave you a look.
“What? Like being harassed by others for your gifts?” The witcher couldn’t stop the comment, still feeling bitter about all that, especially since it seems that you don’t want to be here with him. You simply scowled at that comment.
“Besides, you’re a werewolf. Your nose is better than mine and might find things that magic can’t.” He told you and you had nothing to retort that with. The horses continued the trek till dusk with Roach in the lead and you guys decided it was a good time to give them a break and set up camp. However, the unease you felt with him didn’t leave, and you knew this was going to be a long trip.
So, the days went by.
As you continued your travels, you grew more and more infuriated. Geralt acted like you were old friends again, being totally oblivious towards your feelings. You knew he could sense them too, which angered you even more. In fact, you figured Dandelion would be a more considerate man.
Maybe you should just go and rant to him. You knew he would agree with you.
But one night, as you guys were setting up camp, Geralt was talking about how this search for Ciri was getting nowhere. In a sense, it made you feel useless because you were doing the best you could to help. The witcher was being inconsiderate of you, and you lost it when he brought up talking to Yennefer about it.
“Why don’t you just go get her then? You seem to get along with her much better than me!” You shouted at him. The loudness in your voice spooked him slightly as you’ve been silent for nearly the entire time. But as witchers should be, Geralt was quick to jump on the situation.
“What are you talking about? Where’s this coming from?” He accused you, eyes slightly narrowed as he tried to keep himself composed. You growled, feeling your inner wolf coming out.
“You! This is why I stopped being around you! You are just so inconsiderate of how I feel about any of this! About how I feel about you! You witchers...are all the same! Heartless!” You shouted at him before your emotions got the better of you. They may call Geralt a wolf, but he was no true one.
Your body turned into that of your wolf form, different from the cursed werewolves Geralt was used to. Hands and feet to paws and claws, a slender body covered in fur, and jaws full of sharp teeth that rested before beautiful e/c eyes. And unlike most werewolves, you had a tail.
All your instincts told you to lunge at this man that you loathe. However, while you were pissed beyond belief, you still didn’t want to physically harm him. So, instead, you turned and bound into the forest. And knowing Geralt like you did, you knew he wouldn’t pursue you. So, into the forest you went alone.
At least, you thought you were.
The area you guys were around right now consisted of much forest that was full of game. Nearby there was a small village. Normally, people would fear the woods and what’s inhabiting them. However, every village needed their hunters to feed them, but this area wasn’t known for wolves. Werewolves or other kinds.
And you weren’t expecting to come across a hunter.
You probably would’ve sensed him before encountering him, but your mind was so full of burning rage that your senses blocked. The hunter shrieked in fear at your sudden appearance, and there was no hesitation in his shots from his bow. You were quick to turn tail and run, not wanting to harm this innocent man, but the hunter was quick.
He fired his arrows with more fear than the intention to actually kill, which led you to have a back full of arrows.
As pain seeped through your body, blood oozing from your wounds, you knew it was probably a good idea to return to camp. Even though you really didn’t want to see Geralt, the forest here was no place to heal yourself. So, off to camp you trudged.
Meanwhile, Geralt was sitting on a log and contemplating your words, hands folded on his legs.
Heartless? Did you really think he was heartless? He didn’t mean to ignore your feelings or anything of the sort. Geralt just wasn’t one to focus on things like that. Also, you could’ve always told him, but he knew that wasn’t how women worked. Perhaps he should track you and straighten things out. Finding you should be easier than finding Ciri.
But just as he stood up to begin his search, you stumbled through the bushes and trees, huffing like the big bad wolf people thought you were.
“Y/N? What happened to you?” Geralt was no fool. He could see the arrows and smell the blood as well as sense your racing heart. Emotions may be difficult for him, but cleaning wounds was his forte. So, even though you couldn’t answer, he wasn’t really looking for one.
“Let me help you.” He stated, knowing you couldn’t get those arrows out by yourself. However, as he approached, you growled and bared your teeth at him. But Geralt was a witcher and was not threatened at all by this.
“Think you’re the first werewolf I’ve come across? C’mon Y/N, you’re not going to win this.” Geralt simply stated and you flattened your ears in response. You could feel blood dripping down your back through your fur, but you didn’t care.
However, you did lay for him.
“There we go. That’s much better. Good dog.” He teased slightly with a grin, causing you to growl again. However, you stayed still as he pulled out the arrows and tended to your wounds. As your breathing grew labored, you felt a blanket come over you, allowing you to relax a bit.
“I’m gonna need you to be a person again, Y/N. Much easier to talk that way.” Geralt said while sitting beside you. You whined a bit but complied to his request. Soon there was a young woman sitting beside him with smooth skin, h/c hair, and half-lidded e/c eyes.
And much to his surprise, you passed out...landing right on his shoulder.
“Was gonna ask why you didn’t just heal yourself with magic. Or why you didn’t use your werewolf powers to regenerate anything. Guess you were too exhausted.” He said more to himself than to you since you were out cold. But Geralt wasn’t going to lie. He liked the feeling of you so close to him, even though he knew you were a person who liked their space.
And when you came to, you immediately threw yourself off him.
“Y/N! Take it easy!” He scolded you as he stood up, but you didn’t care. You just wrapped the blanket around your partially exposed body as you shivered slightly, but not from the cold.
“Why was I so close to you?” You asked with slight fear in your voice, looking up at him.
“You blacked out on me, but you seemed comfortable, so I didn’t...” Geralt started to explain but trailed off when he realized why you were so scared. Your whole life has been one of abuse, where touch was never soft or wanted. So, as a werewolf and a witch, to wake up so close to another (a witcher as well), must’ve been scary.
“Come here...You know I’m not going to hurt you.” He offered his hand to you, which you reluctantly took, feeling a bit embarrassed by your outburst. Soon, you guys were sitting close together and by the fire again.
“Not so heartless now, am I?” He looked at you with a smirk and you frowned.
“I suppose a thanks is in order...” You mumbled and Geralt took that as it was, knowing he wasn’t going to get much more than that. However, like with a lot of things that have happened lately, he was wrong.
“And I am sorry for the things I’ve said to you...I know excuses are never good reasons...but I’ve been stressed lately.” You told him and you flinched a bit when you felt a hand on your shoulder. Looking over, you realized how close Geralt’s face was to yours.
“No need for an apology...Instead, let’s enjoy our time now.” He said with a slight smile, and for the first time since traveling with him, you smiled a bit as well. But you weren’t expecting him to lean forward and kiss you. It sent your body into so many emotions, most telling you to flee.
But on the other hand, you felt so safe.
The kissing turned to so much more as your mouths were hardly apart for the whole night. You never knew you wanted his touch so badly, but here you were, leaning into it. His face, his hands, and his whole body were yours to explore. And it made you feel so much more special than you ever thought possible with Geralt of Rivia.
But because of the attack, the witcher thought it be best to bring you back to your village where at least people know about your true identity.
“It’s where you’ll be safer.” Geralt had told you, and this time, you really did trust him. Your newfound passion for him led you to still offering a hand in the hunt for Ciri, promising to send for him if you found anything.
But what Geralt didn’t know was that your village was far from safe for you.

No Artist is Safe
You are always on the run with this man. How can one bard infuriate so many people?
Jaskier x F!Reader
Based off a lovely dream I had❤
Tumblr media
“Why is it always you?” You grumbled at Jaskier, who you were currently hiding with in the cellar of a dingy old tavern that exclusively sells mead to dwarves. Needless to say, it was not the most pleasant of places to hide.
“It’s not like I try to provoke people.” He retorted, shifting his body a bit and poking you in the rib with his elbow. You guys practically had no space as you were both were squished together between two barrels of strong-smelling mead.
“Jaskier!” You whisper-shouted at him, and he mumbled out an apology. The two of you sat in silence for a bit, hearing the angry footsteps above you. Your heart pounded each time they stopped by the cellar door, only to move away again.
You breathed out a sigh of relief.
“You could’ve just kept your mouth shut.” You whispered at him once it was quiet again. Since your back was to him, you couldn’t see Jaskier slightly roll his eyes in annoyance at your words.
“I’m an artist. When someone critiques my work, I fight back.” He said to you, and you desperately wanted to smash your head against the wall in front of you.
“Aggressively, you forgot to add.” You mumbled back, and Jaskier didn’t disagree. If someone talks bad about his songs, he was going to put up a defensive and protect his works.
“Like I said...no artist is safe...” Jaskier mused, staring off into the distance. You took in a deep breath, praying for patience to deal with him, not even realizing that this was the closest you’ve ever been to the man. However, your thoughts were halted when you heard him laughing slightly.
“What?” You whispered to him.
“I just thought of how we are like partners in crime.” He said to you, a smile on his face. But you just scoffed a bit.
“Don’t make me a part of the problem.” You told him in slight jest, knowing full well that the issue at hand was solely his fault to begin with. You were just dragged along for the ride. Jaskier merely laughed at your reaction.
“I bet you’d like that, though.” You teased slightly with a grin.
“I would.” He answered truthfully. His words caused your heart to beat faster and your face to warm up. Jaskier sounded so sincere, and you didn’t know how to respond to that.
But before you could, the cellar door swung open.
Two sets of heavy footsteps began to walk down the creaky wooden stairs. You and Jaskier practically stopped breathing when you heard the footsteps stop. Jaskier tried to wiggle and peer out from the hiding place, but you grabbed his arm and held him back.
“Hey...there’s a hat here.” A gruff voice said as the stairs creaked when the burly man leaned down to pick something up. At this moment, Jaskier reached up and touched his disheveled hair in realization.
“My hat...” He whimpered quietly like a child.
“That fucking hat...” You grumbled and Jaskier shot you a look.
“You got it for me.” He retorted in defense of his beloved possession. However, he was a little too loud (his personality at its best), and the men both turned their heads towards you guys.
“Run!” You whisper-shouted at him in terror.
Cue the two of you rushing past them up the stairs, out of the tavern, and into the once peaceful village. You guys were running through the local peasantry, nearly knocking over children and tearing up clotheslines. Jaskier was in the lead, you were following, which eventually led you guys to a dead end.
“Why am I not surprised?” You said to him, but Jaskier didn’t care for your taunts at the moment. Instead, upon realizing his error, he moved to shield you from your pursuers.
“Y/N, stay behind me.” He said, and you grabbed onto his shoulders.
“What are you going to do?” You said to him, for once trusting Jaskier to protect you. It was in this moment that you felt yourself looking at a man, making you realize what you’ve been feeling all along. He was willing to protect you.
But to answer your question, Jaskier just looked unsure.
As the burly men, cussing and mumbling, went to approach you guys, Jaskier took the time in actually finding a response to your question. He moved, taking you into his arms, before bringing you into a warm kiss.
Normally you’d tease him about how many other women have kissed those lips, but right now, you didn’t care. In fact, you guys didn’t even hear the sounds of combat until the clang of a sword on the ground caused you both to hug each other tightly.
“What the fuck?” A gruff voice interrupted the moment, startling you both. You practically jumped behind Jaskier as he held up his hands in surrender.
“Please don’t kill us! Or her, at least!” Jaskier begged while squeezing his eyes shut. However, it took less than a second for you both to open your eyes and realize that Geralt was standing right before you, the corpse of Jaskier’s pursuer beneath his feet.
“Geralt!” You both said in excitement, but the witcher just frowned.
“Why is it always me?” He mumbled to himself, turning to leave. I mean, Geralt was never here to save you guys. He was here on a contract to fight a wyvern that’s been terrorizing some cattle, but what kind of witcher would he be if he didn’t save his friends.
“Because you care about us.” Jaskier answered for him, but Geralt just waved him off before disappearing. The bard was about to follow him but grabbed your hand to pull you along with him.
You gave him a confused look.
“What? You’re stuck with me now darling.” Jaskier said with a wink, his charming smile back on his face. You blushed to yourself as you nonchalantly got dragged to follow the witcher (for protection obviously Jaskier told you). Despite the annoyance he gave you, you realized it was just your feelings for him all along.
You decided it was time to buy him another hat. He did look quite dashing in it after all.

A Forktail Incident
A contract with a forktail goes wrong for Eskel, but for some reason, he doesn’t want you anywhere near his injuries.
#5 “I want to take care of you!”
#9 “Here…come closer.”
Tumblr media
Accidents can always occur when one is fighting a monster. It’s hard for even a witcher sometimes to predict every move a beast can make while fighting it, especially during the heat of a hunt.
And that’s exactly what happened to Eskel.
Well, sort of.
The witcher was all prepped and ready to fight a forktail that was causing trouble in a small farming village, stealing sheep and other livestock. Eskel was sent to take care of it, meditating and seeping the proper oils the night before. However, during the fight, his mind was just in a different place, and he couldn’t focus.
Let’s just say, he bested the beast with a heavy price.
“Y/N, witchers heal fast. You don’t have to worry so much.” Eskel said as the two of you saw around the fire. The bloody and mangled corpse of the forktail was what he was resting against as he delt with the cuts and open wounds it gave.
“But still...they need to be treated right away!” You said while digging through your bag for some bandages and herbs. Eskel’s jaw tensed when he saw that you were more than willing to jump in and tend to his wounds.
He really didn’t want that.
“It’s fine...I’ll handle it.” He said while scootching ever so slightly away from you. You ceased your rummaging, bottle in hand, as you gave him a hard stare. His wounds were bad and all over him, even witchers need support and care sometimes. So, what was up with Eskel?
“Why are you being so stubborn?” You asked him, folding your arms as you moved to stand closer to him. Eskel tensed under your stare plus the proximity you now had with him. It would be a lot harder to hide his expressions.
But he didn’t say another word. Just shuffled in his sitting position a bit.
“I want to take care of you!” You shouted at the stubborn witcher, who flinched under the tone of your voice. Eskel is used to you having a fiery personality, but it’s never usually directed at him. Heck, even Scorpion drew his attention on you.
However, upon seeing his reaction, you tried to calm yourself.
“I’m...I’m sorry Eskel...I just don’t understand why you never let me help you. I care about you, you know.” You said gently, moving to sit beside him as he pressed down on one of his wounds to better soak up the blood.
Sitting closer, you could now hear him swallow nervously.
“I know...I just...don’t like you seeing my wounds...my scars.” Eskel admitted quietly, wincing a bit as he moved his arms to cover his cuts and blood. You felt yourself soften at this confession.
Poor Eskel and his insecurities getting the better of him. You reached out to rub his shoulder.
“Eskel...it’s alright. You know I don’t mind. Scars...they make you yourself. They prove how strong you are.” You told him lovingly before moving to press a kiss against his scarred cheek for emphasis. It was hard to tell in the dim light, but Eskel’s face twitched into a smile for a second.
“Thank you...I needed to hear that again.” Eskel said before lowering his head and apologizing for his stubborn behavior. You just smiled a bit while also apologizing for being pushy.
“So...you’ll let me treat you now?” You asked with a slight smirk and Eskel just smiled a bit, looking like a child who got caught doing something wrong.
“Here…come closer.” You said in a much softer tone than earlier, offering your hand to him. Eskel gave you his hand in order for you to better reach his injured arm.
Now, you were finally able to dab at his cuts and wrap them up proper even though they would probably be healed in a few days. You had a soft smile as you worked on him, face slightly tinted with pink as you realized how lucky you were.
“Your heart’s beating so fast...what’s wrong?” Eskel’s voice broke your thoughts. You looked up to see his amber cat-like eyes looking down at you. A smile adorned your face again.
“I just realized how much I adore you. You truly are something special, Eskel.” You told him and you looked back to giggle, seeing Eskel’s flustered expression as he avoided eye contact.
“I may not be a witcher...but I can tell your heart is beating pretty fast now as well.” You said with a grin and Eskel just bit his lip, refusing to say that you were right. So, you just continued to bandage him up properly for once, knowing well enough that in the future he would put up a fight once more.
However, he was your witcher. You’ll make him see what you see someday.
Until then, you’ll have to continue to break down his stubbornness which stems from his insecurities. But little did you know, it melts Eskel’s heart to see how much you care about him.
He won’t allow himself to get hurt next time. For your sake.
“Thank you, doll. I know I don’t say it enough...but I adore you as well.” Eskel said just as you finished tidying up his last bandage. Upon hearing those words, you looked up and wasted no time on giving him a kiss.
You two shared a loving moment in the glow of the fire, its embers reflected off the forktail’s dull eyes.
