“What's the future? It's a blank sheet of paper, and we draw lines on it, but sometimes our hand is held, and the lines we draw aren't the lines we wanted.”

Fresh air. Light. Real weather. The things that you don’t even notice normally. The things you realise are the essence of life when you lose them.

One of the biggest challenges for Phoebe was a scene in which Homer ogles her as she strips down to a bikini. “We had to do a whole lot of takes,” she laughs. “They’d keep calling out and say, ‘Phoebe, you look really awkward’ or 'do it slower’ and I said, 'You’re basically trying to tell me I’m being really unsexy.’”

“Beauty, poise, and charm- it’s a killer combination at any age, even more so when held by two so young. Tomorrow, it seems, looks very bright.” -Jo Mckay

“I went to town. I was...angry. I thought of shooting a soldier because of what they did to Mum. But I saw he had a girlfriend... and I couldn’t do it. I realised I didn’t want her to feel as bad as I am feeling about losing someone you love.”

“It seemed that life was heading towards one extreme or the other. That was another thing I’d learned about war – it was big on extremes. Maybe that’s why the old men struck me as kind of excited when they talked about their wars. Sure they talked about the suffering and the fear and the grief, but you felt that underneath was a secret, and the secret was that the war was the biggest and most exciting thing in their lives. I knew that whatever else happened I would never feel that way about this war. Maybe if no-one I knew had been killed, but this war had cost me so much that I could never think of it as exciting, or an adventure. It would always be the worst time of my life, and with all my being I longed for it to end.” (The Other Side Of Dawn - John Marsden)

“‘I could never go back to that life,’ Fi said. ‘I don’t want to keep living like this either, of course. But if the war ended tomorrow, I couldn’t suddenly start worrying about flower arrangements for Mum’s dinner parties, and having the right paper for answering invitations. I don’t know what I’d do, but I’d try to find something useful, something that would stop this stuff happening again.’” The Dead Of The Night (John Marsden)

Unfortunately the cast is usually the last informed about this stuff. This series isn’t just meant to be!
Hey everyone. Unsurprisingly, there’s been no news since my last post a few months ago. I think it’s fair to say that it has not been picked up for a second series. Has anyone asked the cast on twitter? I feel like they might be the only people who would have the courtesy to tell us haha
