one thing you won't know until you experience it for yourself when you create art out of love is how it feels when people receive it with love. when you post a doodle and someone keeps it as their lockscreen, or when you write a story and someone tells you they were thinking about it all day, or when you post a poem and someone shares it with a touching caption. doesn't matter if it was objectively good or not. matters that someone spent time with it, that someone really, really liked it, and you made it. this kind of interaction, i think, it can really sustain you for weeks. it can sustain you through a lot of terrible things. its confirmation that you exist, and that (however briefly) your existence was appreciated by someone else through your art.
#i received a comment on my one of my fics the other day#i hadn't updated my fic in a couple of weeks#and this person drops the the most thoughtful#i miss this story and i hope you're drinking water and taking rest comment on the fic#and i neary bawled#i was convinced that even if people are reading the fic#they won't remember it#i won't make any impact on them#but this comment#in its love and care and sweetness proved me wrong#i am so thankful to that person#i hope the world treats you kindly for the rest of your life ❤️

THE GOLDEN STRINGS OF FATE
In the beginning there was Clotho.
She had spun this thread before. It was teal like the ocean, with shifting colours, but always blue, always the sea.
This thread had a life of its own, it was always meant to be used. It demanded its presence in the tapestry. It was beautiful.
This time, there was more gold than blue. But still, the thread was of the sea. In front of her eyes, the thread grew and spun itself. Imbued itself with more gold than she thought was possible. Little by little, it became less tied to persistent humanity and more to the constant divinity.
Clotho was the beginning. She was the birth. She was the fate of a man when the thread was spun.
This thread had been here before, but there was something different this time.
Clotho saw the birth of Percy. And now, she is seeing the birth of Perseus The Destroyer.

I'm so obsessed with Nico and Percy's friendship, like i need them to be fully adopted siblings. Like i love love love that dynamic and the potential for it. Rick wasted it away.
Nico crashes Percy's birthday party once, you cannot convince me that Sally didn't do her damn best to protect baby Nico and to make sure he was fed. She took care of Tyson!!!! She damn well adopted Nico as well.
Kay, I'm gonna go and write like 5 different fics about it now.

I don't even have the titles, just the very simple - bodyguard au, hp au, Perpollo au 😭😭
But anyways, I'm gonna finish writing the main fic first and then work on the phoebus au and hopefully publish phoebus au by next week!!!!

Ok, so, I got to go to Rick’s book event in San Mateo last Friday and someone asked if Nico likes shopping at target. The answer was that, not only does Nico like going to target, he goes to the Starbucks immediately, but also that he loves going to the Lego section?? So now I’m just thinking about Will and Nico, holding hands, looking at all the different Lego sets?
I like to think Nico fell in love with the Minecraft Lego sets. And as a surprise, Will bought him one of the flower Lego sets. It goes something like this:
Nico looked skeptically down at the box, then back up at his boyfriend. Will shrugged nervously. “I know it bothers you that sometimes plants die when you touch them, but these won’t. I thought we could build it together.”
Nico’s heart melted a bit. “Dork.”
