Hi people. As the boy billionaire has bought the birdsite and corporate accounts joke about moving to Tumblr, I kindly ask y'all to give the brands the treatment they deserve: silence.
Make your own posts if you wanna post bugass but do NOT engage the brands. Gaslight, gatekeep and girlboss. In containment they will wither.

I was twenty when I learned that no matter how much you serve a man, he will still hate and mistreat you. You could fuck him the way he wants, dress the way he likes, and support him the way he feels entitled to. You become malleable, but he never mollifies. No amount of your placation—he will still strike and scream and shame. Even with my mouth shut and legs open—opened—I stripped away the respect I wanted from him. What good did my silence ever do for me? I was an passive accomplice to my own ruin. And now, the kinks can’t be hammered out. The shape of him spoils me like raw meat and spilled milk. I will never be fresh again. The reek haunts me and chases all of those who come near. I hate you.

when elena ferrante said “there are people who leave and people who know how to be left” and when richard siken said “someone has to leave first. this is a very old story. there is no other version of this story.” and when sally rooney wrote “if i told you where my car is right now, i don’t think i’d be able to leave, i think i would have to stay here just in case you changed your mind about everything” and when mikko harvey said “the number of hours we have together is actually not so large. please linger near the door uncomfortably instead of just leaving. please forget your scarf in my life and come back later for it.”and when karese burrows wrote “i have never seen a door that doesn’t look like you leaving. look at me writing this poem. even here i don’t mean anything i say. except that I still want you. that whatever is in me still loves you deeply. it is a light i can’t turn off. i clap my hands and nothing happens.” and when margarita karapanou said “i never expected you to actually finish anything. you were always leaving. i always picture you with a suitcase in your hand.”

[text ID: Before my grandfather died, I asked him what sort / of horse he had growing up. He said, / Just a horse. My horse, with such a tenderness it / rubbed the bones in the ribs all wrong. / I have always been too sensitive, a weeper / from a long line of weepers. / I am the hurting kind. I keep searching for proof.]
