Hey! How are you? Wishing you well
Thank you! I’m doing better, though I’ve been tired and sore today. But I just had a delicious italian ice, and that brightened my evening. Well, that and the tumblr boopening. lol

How are you feeling? I realize that I only know you through tumblr/fanfic but I’ve had you on my mind ever since you shared your diagnosis.
Hi! Thank you for asking.
I’m hanging in there. I’m still recovering from surgery, and trying to be patient with myself about that. I have various appointments and tests and meds, and it’s all rather exhausting. But, I’m looking ahead to fun things over the summer - baseball games and comic con and such. I don’t know how I’ll be feeling over the summer, but I’m determined to do these things anyway.
Thank you, too, for thinking of me. It does mean a lot - sometimes it gets a bit lonely in my head, and knowing people are thinking about me, makes that a little less heavy.

Oh hi!
Thank you all for your kind messages, good thoughts, healing vibes, and prayers. I can’t tell you how much that means to me.
I am out of the hospital at last. (Actually, got sprung Saturday afternoon, but that was exhausting in its own way). Three weeks in the hospital is three weeks too many. But my nurses and surgeon were awesome, so they made it the nicest unpleasant experience it could be.
Now to heal and then on to a long string of appointments, tests, and treatments. Good wishes and prayers still accepted.
Buddy is supervising my recovery:

Hello,
I haven’t posted in a while as I’ve been really sick for about two months. I finally went to the ER last Monday with abdominal pain and severe dehydration. Turns out I have an intestinal blockage, but they also found various masses. I was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with cancer last Thursday.
I will be here for the foreseeable future, because when I came into the ER, I was critically malnourished, and they’ve got me on special nutrition IV since I can’t eat anything. So, I’m stuck here until my nutrition improves and I’m ‘healthy’ enough to have the blockage surgically removed. And it looks like that’s going to be a bit.
Let me tell you, friends, this does indeed suck. 2024 has not started how I would have liked.
If you are so inclined, I would not say no to any good thoughts or prayers you could direct my way.
Many thanks.

found a new ancient artifact to be delighted with, the pseudo-corinthian helmet developed in italy and not worn over the face but on top of the head, like a cap. can you imagine running into battle and theres a guy with a teeny tiny face on top of his head
everyone is so mean to her and it's hilarious

Will humanity ever be free of the influence of Edna Mode? Can any of us so much as consider the character design for a hero or villain without her manifesting in the room, fully aware of our sins?
