Pokemon Theory; Macro Cosmos' Type:Null and Rose's intention for Bede
Of all the Pokemon in Galar, the most interesting addition to the Dex is definitely the Type:Null you are given in the now-Battle Tower. But why is there a Type:Null unit in SwSh?
It was intended for Bede to use, possibly against Eternatus, but certainly against Dynamax.
Consider the following;
Using a Pokedex, it would be likely that Rose would have a grasp on what Type that Eternatus would be. So, to combat it, he needed a Psychic Trainer who could assist in forcing Eternatus to yield. A child open to Type Specialization.
Thus, Bede was fostered by Rose, and given his Hatenna, plus a Gothita & Solosis. He was expected to become a top Psychic Trainer, and eventually, usurp Leon once his usefulness was through. Being given the Type:Null for it's great potential, likely partway through the Gym Challenge.
Rose's sole intent for Leon was to face off and capture Eternatus. It was expected that the undefeated Champion would be able to take down the goliath. Then after, with Bede's new Specialization, Eternatus would be forced down to keep Galar going forever.
Unfortunately, because of Bede's destruction of the mural, Rose chose to quickly quash Bede. He could not have a Champion be so blaise with Galar--otherwise, there was no way that he would be followed by the people of Galar. He can make a new protege. He could find a better Psychic. He could use the Type:Null, the Pokemon made from the shared blueprints between Macro Cosmos and the Aether Foundation.
But Rose never accounted for Eternatus using Flamethrower.

Pokemon Worldbuilding; The Crown Tundra King & His Knights
In centuries long ago, the Darkest Day raged and ravaged the Galar region, when heros took up sword and shield. Beside Zacian, Zamazenta, and the human heros, was the Fae prince Calyrex. The prince stood beside the heros, healing them as the battle raged. As the battle came close, Calyrex suffered a grievous injury, fleeing to where Eternatus would not follow.
Calyrex was found by the nomadic people of the Samhain Tundra--the lands ravaged by bitter cold, where the snow is all that comes. While their wounds healed, they were witness to the most destructive of the Tundra's natural forces; the wild horses of Spectrier and Glastrier. With the help of the people, Calyrex obtained the hair from each horse while providing a flower made from their Fae magic. Together, the Reigns of Unity were weaved, allowing for the Fae prince to ride and tame the wild forces. Now with incredible power at their paws, Calyrex sped across the Samhain Tundra, pushing back the neverending snowfall.
The nomadic people were grateful, and dubbed Calyrex the King of the Tundra, giving the lands a new name--the Crown Tundra. In further gratitude, the people took to the mountain peak, where a sacred tree grew, of Fae origin, and built a shrine fit for their King. Each year, a festival was held, each person recreating the Reigns of Unity with common materials, to remember their connection to Calyrex--the unity between people and Pokemon. Alongside, great harvests of carrots for the King and steeds.
As years drew on, Calyrex worked their magic to create guardians for the lands, against the Evil that lurked in the dark. Though a King of the land, they were still a Fae, vulnerable to the Unseelie courts. Thus, created a trio with a unique trait each; a will of iron, a fortitude of stone, a swiftness of wind, birthing the Galarian Justice Trio. No force of the Unseelie would stay long.
Time continued onward, with centuries of bounty. Over the years, traditions slowly faded. And atop the Crown Shrine, unseen in years, the Reigns of Unity broke. Calyrex, alone, retreated into the sacred tree, falling comatose. Without a master, the destructive hearts of Spectrier and Glastrier were set loose. In their flurries, they destroyed 5 human settlements within the Crown Tundra. With the King's magic cut, the Galarian Justice Trio fell into a state between life and death. Their honorable Fighting Type decaying into a mindless Poison--Cobalion's iron rusted, Terrakion corroded, and Virizion rotted. Trapped in motionless heaps, aware, as their bodies and minds decomposed.
The deep winter slowly returned over the centuries, until all that is left is the sole town of Freezington.
Upon Calyrex's return to power, the Galarian Justice Trio are slowly reawakening. All that remains now is a hate, and unyielding urge, to hunt anyone, anything, that carries the Dark Type.

Pokemon Headcanons/World-Building; Seasonal Splendor
- One of the most popular things in Galar is the Battle Cafe's Themed Sweets, based on the Galar League Members. Both the seasons Gym Leaders, and the Gym Leaders not in for the season. Ice cream, coffees/teas, and others desserts are made with themes.
- Ice Creams are especially popular during the Gym Challenge season, when it's much warmer. After a Challenger gets their 8th Badge, an Ice cream flavor is made based on them. Mainly being, they're in the last stretch of the Challenge. Its time to REALLY pick a favorite to cheer for. --- Triple fudge brownie - Gloria and Victor --- Taro coconut - Hop --- Dark chocolate raspberry - Marnie --- Cotton Candy - Bede --- Peaches n Cream - Milo --- Sea salt caramel Blueberry - Nessa --- Apple Macha Spice tea - Kabu --- White chocolate chunks n vanilla - Allister --- Vanilla Cinnamon bun swirl - Bea --- Raspberry Cheesecake - Opal --- Rocky Road - Gordie --- Vanilla Bean - Melony --- Cookies n Cream - Piers --- Dragon Fruit Cashew - Raihan --- Ube - Leon
- Beside ice cream, some part of the ice cream flavor is also used in teas, coffees, or pastries. Mixing and matching the flavors is not uncommon, especially when there are rivalries

Pokemon Headcanons/World-Building; Applin, Card Collection, and Sweet Mascots
- In the vein of giving Applins to one's lover as a confession, there is a massive market for things being themed around the Pokemon. This is since not everyone can handle or WANTS a small hungry Dragon. --- Applin plushies are the most popular way to confess. --- If someone IS giving someone they really like a Pokemon, placing it in an Applin themed basket is frequent, usually with some form of apples with it (Freeze dried, candied, etc.).
- In the Galar League, new League Cards are printed every year or so for the Gym Leaders. It is a way to make a yearly profit, as well as being a way to show the evolution of Gym Leaders and Gym Challengers from the start to current day. Collecting them is a popular hobby. The cards themselves are exceptionally high quality too. Gym Leaders are given a fair few to always have and hand out to Challengers.
- There is a popular candy brand who's mascot is Peppermint the Shiny Galarian Zigzagoon. They're well known for their seasonal and fruity chocolates in 156 different flavors. Including Berry varieties, fruits, many forms of mint, taro, and ube. The company's mint flavors are famous across the globe. --- Their Rival is another large candy brand whose mascot is Cotton Candy the Galarian Ponyta.

Pokemon Headcanons/World-Building; Dynamax Sensitivity
- Dynamax Sensitivity is the capacity for a human to sense the energy of the Dynamax Phenomenon, be it in ambient sources like Wishing Stars, or pick out what Pokemon have the ability to Gigantamax.
- Sensitivity is a random born thing in the Galarian population. Nobody is quite sure what causes it, or could be done to prevent it. It occurs in roughly 1 in 25,000 people.
- It is much analogous to having sensitive hearing. You can hear some little things others can't, but in turn, loud noises are hellish at times and can cause issues for hours after.
- Due to the sensitivity, it is impossible for the person to use Dynamax, or consume Gigantamix Curry. --- If they are wearing a Dynamax Band in battle, a migraine will form and persist, lasting about 10 minutes even after removing the Band. --- Using the Dynamax will put the person into a dissociative episode, causing weakness and for them to lose feeling in their body, often falling unconscious from the strain. This lasts for about 6 hours. --- Consuming Gigantamix Curry will cause nausea, followed by intense vomiting for an hour or more, along with dissociation for hours. Its not uncommon for the person to fall unconscious, their body giving out from stress.
- So long as the person isn't wearing a Dynamax Band, they can enter Dens and partake in Raid Battles. However, they will usually have a sensitively to light and sound for about an hour after.
- All people with Dynamax Sensitivity have nightmares, every night, of the worst storms in Dens. --- Due to Rose's interference with Eternatus, for 20 years pre-SwSh, the nightmares were of the persons drowning, and feeling unyielding terror of Eternatus. As the time of the games came closer, the people's ability to see Eternatus became more clear, but never saw the whole Pokemon. --- Aquaphobia, in relevance to the ocean or very deep lakes, skyrocketed in people during this time before SwSh.
- Spikemuth is the only place in Galar where the Dynamax Phenomenon does not exist at all. Any Dynamax Pokemon that try to approach lose the power. In turn, those with the Sensitivity can have easy sleep, without the nightmares of Dens or Eternatus. Where they to consume or use Dynamax, entering Spikemuth's area of effect would cure the ailing problems within 10 minutes or less.
- Something that does help with the nightmares is to be around loved ones while sleeping. This can be contact with a significant other, close friends, or just having the Pokemon team there.
- Because this Sensitivity is rare, and can be something useful in the collection of Wishing Stars. Some people with it will take fairly large payouts (usually by Rose) to get as many Wishing Stars as possible. Otherwise, these people may just keep them in trunks in basements/attics. If they live in Spikemuth, they'll preemptively collect to keep them out of other hands, even if the money would do so much good.

Pokemon Headcanons/World-Building; Spikemuth and Dynamaxing
Before the Darkest Day of long past, the town of Spikemuth was one of the most significant locations. Before Dynamaxing was even quite grasped, much less able to be controlled by humans, Spikemuth was a primary place of safety and for planning. The area the town has is something of an antithesis of the Dynamax Phenomenon.
After the Darkest Day, it became much more rooted in the local culture to overall avoid and prevent Dynamaxing. Over the years after, across the region, some humans are born with a high sensitivity to the Dynamax energy. These people can sense and locate Wishing Stars, or tell when a Dynamax is about to happen. Such people are prone to nightmares when outside of Spikemuth's limits, of the worst types of storms in Dens.
In the town, to prevent random Dynamaxing, Spikemuth citizens would collect Wishing Stars, placing them in chests. With help from Pokemon, they would bury them under the town, where they were rendered powerless. Extra steps included encasing the chests in a mass of metal. Only a few old tomes, the founding town family, and the Gym Leaders of the town, are aware of where these chests are.
Over the years, Spikemuth became a Treasury for Galar's most sacred treasures, such as the Hero's Tapestries. The 5th tapestry, during one of the centuries, was stolen by a group seeking to take the crown, under the belief they were of royal lineage. The tapestry was never found after.
At the turn of the Industrial age, a proper museum was built for everything. Spikemuth, as the antithesis of Dynamax, was the absolute safest place to house the most precious artifacts. The display room was made to be the highest part, to hold up history. Along with the rise of industry over the decades, televised Pokemon Battles with controlled Dynamaxing further became the norm. The International League was formed, melding with the Galarian sports culture of Battle.
When Chairman Rose took to his position, roughly 2 decades before the events of Galar, he made a point to call the town of Spikemuth lazy for losing a piece of history. As the Chairman, he, with the side of some of the Gym Leaders of the time, had the artifacts taken from the town, moved to Hammerlocke.
In the later years, following Piers coming into the position of Gym Leader, Rose set in. Government funding was cut at many angles, in all but public health care. Businesses were bought out by Macro Cosmo, and pulled from Spikemuth. Ever since taking up the title, Piers has been fighting an uphill battle against Rose. Resentment is kept quiet, but it's not impossible to figure out that there is bad blood.
If Rose really wanted to help everyone, he should have been offering to bolster and build infrastructure, not move the Gym away and over a Power Spot.

Pokemon Headcanon/World Building; Oddities in Humans
As humans have been derived of Pokemon at some point in the ancient past, it is not hard to imagine that there are some less typical traits that still exist in the world.
- Handfuls of humans are born with a Tapetum lucidum, aka the eye shine seen in cats and other animals. This gives them advanced night vision, showing up as white pupils.     EX.; BW2 Trainers Rosa and Nate, Champion Leon, Trainer Hop
- Sharp teeth are common too, but in varying degrees. Some people have 1 asymmetrical fang that is hardly noticeable. While the extreme, is humans having a mouth with most to all front teeth being canine/cuspid.     Back teeth being sharp happens rarely, and usually these cases will have the teeth filed down if they do not fit properly in the jaw.
- Heightened hearing and a stronger sense of smell are also common. Night vision can be better, but it is trumped by those with a Tapetum lucidum.

Pokemon Headcanon/World Building; Age range and limit of Gym Leaders, E4, and Champs, as well as requirements of the job
Because the Pokemon League is a branch of the government, there is an age limit for its members across the board. However, each region’s League is allowed to make an exception, with the proper paperwork channels and approvals.
At the absolute minimum, Gym Leaders must be 13, no exceptions. This is a rule all Leagues need to follow.
Elite Four can be no younger than 18.
Champions should, preferably, be 18 at minimum. However, younger teens can be given an exception if they are under and approved by the reigning Champion. (IE. Alder training Iris to become Champion, and passing the torch.)
Trainers who defeat the Champion are rarely younger than 15-16. On average, most Trainers are about college age if they challenge their League, thus the sheer number of Veterans and Aces.
Red and Green were prodigy Trainers. Their win against the Indigo League, at 11 each, was nothing short of exemplary. However, they are not the official Champions who head the League, due to their age. They were too young to even be allowed to train under the previous Champion, who instead handed the torch to Lance. Neither may handle any paperwork, but they can, being Champion in title, face Challengers, if they so choose.
If Lance were to choose to step down or step aside when the two are able to handle the League work, then they will be the Champion(s) proper.
Champions and Elite Four, as primary representatives of their Leagues, should know at least 2 languages. If they do not, they need to learn a 2nd. Verbal or nonverbal (IE Sign language)  are fine, but they should be capable of more than their native tongue. This shows a willingness between Leagues that each member is willing to learn from and for each other, in a sign of good will.
Both Gym Leaders and Elite Four are under the rule to be Masters of a Type, or Specialists at the very least. But Masters are given priority in the deciding of new members.
And of course, all members of the League need to be powerful battlers. They need to be strong enough to pose a challenge to all Challengers, but not so strong that they are undefeatable. This applies especially to the Gym Leaders, who are meant to be a hurdle for Trainers to overcome, not a roadblock. Elite Four are meant to be much rougher on their Challengers, meanwhile. And Champions the greatest battle they will face on their journey.

Pokemon Headcanon/World Building; Purpose of the Pokemon League
The Pokemon League is a branch of the government, developed in order to decide laws pertaining to Pokemon, their protection, and battles. League officials (Gym Leaders, E4, Champion) are primarily deciders. These are the people most bonded and in tune with their Pokemon, knowing them best, and thus, most suited to decide laws involving them.
Not every League operates the exact same way, but it is comprised of all regions operating under the same base laws and regulations. This allows for free trade between regions, and open immigration and travel. The League as a whole is meant to bring people and Pokemon together, with goals of improvement and helping one another.
This ideal has also bled into day to day, in the form of gifts between Trainers. Be them Pokeballs, Potions, Restores, Berries, or Revives, people have learned to give good will to one another. Some even leave quality items around in planned positions, to help younger Trainers who will explore more freely than an experienced Trainer.

Kid Icarus Headcanons; Many Miscellaneous
 - Palutena received a decent few marks on her body from the incident with the Chaos Kin. On her back through her sternum, she has a large scar from where the CK's blade ripped into her. Meanwhile on her left forearm, she was branded with it's symbol, a sign of possession. She hides the mark with her bracers.
 - Viridi can change her physical age depending on the season. Like the Pokemon Shaymin, she can change with the right stimuli.  --- Spring; 11-13 yrs. --- Summer; 16-18 yrs. --- Fall; 25-27 yrs. --- Winter; 43-45 yrs.

Nic's Concepts; Magnus' Great Strength
Magnus' mighty strength and durability is a product of his origin, as the son of a human woman and angel man. Since he was born from his mom, he came out wholly human, with all the muscle usually in wings spreading to the rest of his body.
The Magnus Club is a weapon forged with Grey Adamant, thus why it is so exceptional at killing monsters. As a human, he cannot make it fire shots. It was his father's before him, Magnus taking it up when his father died on a mission when he was young.
The angel became a star in the sky, watching over his son and wife until they pass, having promised his beloved he'd bring her to the heavens one day.

Kid Icarus Headcanons; Palutena's Enfeebling Acts
Between the two goddesses of Angelland, there was a stark contrast of love that boiled underneath the scene.
Palutena was loved by humanity, but not much by the pantheon as a whole, due to her very controlling and demanding actions. Medusa was loved by her fellow gods, but not by humanity due to her being a causer of hardships.
While Palutena was outwardly sweet, she was known in her domain for having a particularly vicious under-bite to her words, and very strict order, with her angels. This selective attitude had a bit of a tendency to, as angels grew up, drive some away from Palutena's army. Thus, they would talk with Medusa or other gods when they'd visit, and ask to transfer. Once given the O-K, the god in question would confront Palutena, and be given what is essentially custody of the angel.
Most angels would turn to Medusa, as they saw how different it was to be on her side. Medusa's were allowed freedom, given permission to travel as they pleased, and were generally warm. It was especially wounding for Palutena to watch as her soldiers would train with her opposition.
It was frequent enough that Palutena reincarnated humans more often to make up for her lost units. This was fine when the first few angels left, but as more kept going from her more than Medusa, some desperation and plotting set in.
To keep her reborn angels loyal to her, she would cripple their wings, and become the sole provider of their flight. Palutena would ensure that her sister didn't help in the reincarnation process. The first times were begrudgingly waved off as reckless impulsiveness and impatience, even ignorance. But then it happened again, and again, when Medusa was off busy with tasks that needed immediate attention. It wasn't believed that Palutena would do such a thing on purpose. Nobody would be so cruel just to maintain power...right?

Nic's Concepts; A "demonic"/bat winged Dark Pit
A less angelic Dark Pit appearance can be explained as how Pit himself views the traits DP gets. He could see them as selfish, and un-angelic, thus, the opposite to an angel; with flesh wings instead of feathered.
Other "demon" traits, such as horns, can be explained as replacing an angel's halo. (As read about across tumblr posts, horns are sometimes described as being a broken halo. In cases, a sign of breaking away from heaven's strict hierarchy.) Something selfish and not in line with how Pit would ever want to act.

Kid Icarus World Building; Angel Creation and Psyche
- Angels can be made in 3 ways;
--- [Creation.] When Medusa and Palutena would decide to add more to their camps, they can come together to create an egg that splits into 2 eggs in the process. Each goddess will take their egg until it hatches, angels sharing a face, but different coloration. Their wings will be the same color, but those of Medusa will have a dark variation, and Palutena's a light variant. (ex.; #960018 vs #EA3C53) Angels born this way have no navels nor nipples.
--- [Reincarnation.] If Medusa or Palutena find a human whom they take a liking to or pity in some capacity, usually in a state near death, they can take them up and give them a new life in the land of angels. In order for them to have functional wings, both goddesses must be a part of the rebirth process, or they will be born with "Chicken Wings". This version of creating angels will turn back the clock on the human body one time, returning them to 5 years old, leaving them without the memories of their past lives. They will look just as they did in their human life as they grow again, including having a navel/etc. that an angel wouldn't get, if not manually removed.
--- [Birth.] If an angel gets together with a partner, be them human or another angel or otherwise, they can spawn an egg with them to make another angel. This method can run the chance of the child having "Chicken Wings", especially with human partners. Some specific mixes of couples can cause various children. If the partner is a female human, it is possible for her to have a human child. The child will be as strong and durable as any angel, with all the muscle that would have been in their wings going to the rest of their body.
- Pre KI, all angels, of both camps, did patrols for monsters in all towns. Bigger populations brought in more monsters, meaning at least 2 angels could be assigned to a town. They were also the ones to handle Ornes, Clubberskulls, and the Wizards while protecting the cursed victims.
--- As sources could be spread thin at times or be delayed, angels would teach human warriors how to fight where they could. This includes sparring, tests, and so on. Angels could take the risk of getting hurt during practice, as they could heal fast.
--- Because Medusa's angels worked under her name, some humans would blame them, or bring their gripes about the goddess to angels. If a town had a temple to Palutena, or was within a day's travel to one, humans were much more distrustful when Medusa's angels were sent to help. Thus, they were usually on duty for smaller towns and settlements.
- Angels do work for various gods, they just aren't seen in KIU since those specific gods are not involved in the war.
--- Switching camps will include a change in wing colors with magic, to a color aligned to their current god. Their Primary and Secondary feathers will retain their original color though.
--- Something about an angel will change when they switch their allegiance, gaining a physical trait. Some things take decades to form, others only need a week (Ex; An angel under Poseidon will gain gills and light scales along parts of their body after a week).
- Angels have a fair few avian traits and habits;
--- Are a lot warmer than humans, being 102°, like birds.
--- They full-wing molt twice a year, once in spring and once in fall. They become very irritable and hangry, over the course of the 3-4 weeks that they're shedding.
--- Bones are more hollow than a human's.
- Aging is a curious thing for angels.
--- For angels who have time as babies, during that time, they will take nutrition via magic from whoever is holding them until they are 1 year old. Afterward their absorption slows, moving them to eating.
--- During the first 5 years of life, angels age as humans. By the age of 5, their bodies slow to a rate of 1 for every 5 years lived.
--- They age until their mid 20s, allowing for angels to remain in their prime as warriors.
--- Angels seek out and learn everything they can as they grow, picking up multitudes of hobbies and skills usually. Seeing as they’ve got all the time in the world, no reason not to.
- Angels will absolutely adore children. If there is a child to dote on, they will dote on them.

Kid Icarus World Building; Angel Culture
- Since Skyworld is separate from the human world, over time, a bit of a culture spawned among the inhabitant angels and goddesses. - Between partners (romantic, platonic, and so on), angels give one another a feather to wear as a show of companionship and dating. They tie these feathers into hairbands, clips, combs, or turn them into jewelry. --- These are also given to human partners. It's generally considered a bad idea to bother those who have the favor of angels.

Smash Universe Headcanon/World-Building; Tournament Battles and Fighters
- At any given time, there are always 8 of a Fighter from across the multiverse present in the Smash Mansion. It's rare for all to be needed unless they're doing a massive all-out fight.
- Some Fighters do wear what they wear on a regular basis (Ex, theres a world were Dark Pit wears white and Pit is gothic). Some are asked to change for specific battles or Team battles (via some Hand magic that just manipulates the light around them for a battle or two on their clothes). If they disagree, it's fine as long as they wear a color tag bandanna to differentiate teams.
- Classic Mode is basically a televised medley of fights dubbed an "episode", what is played back on occasion, at night, or just between battles. A Figther goes against 6 Rounds of fights, one after the other with a full heal item between, then faces the Boss of their challenge. Classic typically lasts about 1-1.5 hours, averaging 10 minutes per fight. --- It is considered "pretty cool" to do the medley. --- Unprepared or new Fighters tend to get downed by about their 2nd to 4th fight. These Fighters get to 5th or 6th the third time, then finally beat their bosses the 3rd attempt. --- Bosses are more varied than in Smash Ultimate. The Hands have extreme resources and can magic together a reasonably terrifying copy if they so please. --- Bonus is an after for Fighters who beat their Classic Modes. Its a quick competition among the winners to see their maneuverability.
- On occasion, Turf Wars are held for Fighters to partake in (they're basically glorified paintball games). But when they have a real Turf War, everyone knows, because Of The Hook is hosting and doing announcements for it. Sometimes the Squid Sisters will come in instead, or anywhere from 3 to all 4 will host. --- Some individuals with advanced magic ability can transform into Inklings and Octolings for the real Turf Wars. They tend to need a moment to get their land tentacles right, but fall into the groove easily after they get practice. --- The Hands can do the transformation on Fighters as well, but only if asked. It's not uncommon for the Fighters to back out quickly, since its a very bizarre experience. The Hands can get a little annoyed by it.
