Proper procedure is to go to a basement or concrete building. If none are around go to the room closest to the center of the house and remove as much glass from the room as possible (picture frames, mirrors, etc.) and cover any windows but most people just grab a coke and sit on their porch to watch.

I just remembered the fact the growing up a bunch of our neighbors grass-raised cattle and the ones across the creek from us frequently got out and came in my families lawn. So whichever one of my siblings noticed first would just run full-throttle toward a herd of cows and scare them back over into their field. I have vivid memories of being around ten years old alone charging into a heard of cows screaming. I would pay to see a video of that😂

The way I was like “ah hi Chaz! Idk who anyone else is though” and then it hit me and I was just shook.
