A descendant of Tatia and half-sister to Elena & Jeremy Gilbert, Lady Katharina was born the human-angel hybrid offspring of a German Baron and a Guardian in 1476. Originally a sickly, spoiled, docile, immature, & fragile child, Katherine became the complete opposite of her old self under the guidance of her sire, Klaus, whom had originally intended to kill her. Changing her name to Katherine, she met the Salvatore brothers in 1864 and would fall in love with both desiring for the three to become companions forever though she would later fake her death. Centuries later, Katherine plotted against her new found sister, Elena Gilbert. Killed after she possessed Elena's body, Katherine saw all her past evil actions and upon her resurrection became more mature, stable, loyal, and accepting of Elena as her sister.
TVD Novel Katherine adapted into the show world.

I dislike repeating myself."
A smile graces Katherine's features, voice soft and almost playful. In the past the same words may have been conveyed in a malicious manner, however now they came out more friendly, almost joking. Even so, her statement was true, she did in fact dislike having to repeat herself.
"What the hell are you talking about?"

How to Save a Life || Katherine & Klaus
The evening was warm and humid with a moderately cool breeze drifting into the compound through stone archways and open windows. Katherine had been resurrected through a complicated ritual a mere day previous, her body overcome with a sense of exhaustion and frantic confusion which had confined her to a slumber in an upstairs bedroom. She did, however, remember strong arms having carried her after she had awakened in the middle of a circle. In-scents hanging in the air, she had drifted off into a chaotic and dreamed-filled slumer moments later.
Now awakened by a noise downstairs Katherine had made her way out of the room and placed her hands on a railing to steady herself as she looked at Klaus' back. He looked tense. Something was wrong, she suspected. "Wo drückt es dich denn?" She questioned, hand still on the railing to steady her body as she began to move down the stairs, slowly. "Ich fragen, wo wir sind?" Katherine asked, voice and mannerisms very much an echo of her human self from centuries previous.
Katherine was still mildly confused (which was part of the reason she had naturally reverted to her native tongue), her memories scattered--returning in bursts and dreams-- though she understood she had been dead and now she was alive. She also was aware of whom Klaus was-- to an extent; he was the first thing she had remembered as he had been the first person she had seen upon her resurrection the day before. "Sie hat mich gerettet."

"I was unaware I was to have a curfew." Katherine pouted,
voice lacing with a small amount of edge in response to
his tone. Gentle eyes narrowed ever so slightly as delicate
hands skimmed across an intricately carved mantel.
"Time escaped me." She admitted, hazel hues meeting blue
orbs. There was no apology in her eyes for she had seen no
fault in her actions. Truth be told, she had never specified a
time she would return; especially when it had been the first
time he had allowed her out of the compound without escort,
since her revival as her condition had restored fully.

Katherine enters the Grill, expression slightly strained.
The evening is still young and Katherine’s day had not
been the most pleasant thus far. Ausgezeichnet. She
thought as the image of a dark haired witch came into
view.
"Bonnie."
She was just the witch Katherine was looking for.
Katherine had been well aware of Bonnie’s general
animosity toward her, however, she was also
aware that Bonnie would be the most likely outside
of Caroline to know what was happening within her
town and with her circle of friends.
"Have you spoken with Elena today?
I have not been able to find her nor
Jeremy the entire day.”

Katherine questioned though her inquiry was
more of a rhetorical nature. Hayley's question
caused Katherine to be lost in thought for a
moment. So Klaus hadn't seen fit to inform
Hayley of more recent events.
"Is that not abundantly obvious?
Klaus secured my safe passage
in the wake of the Other Side's
destruction. I will be living here."
❝Well, I hate to break it to you,
but I didn’t necessarily miss
much of you.❞
Call it short tempered, call it guarded.
Hayley wasn’t one to fawn over those
who were supposed to be dead.
