Kunikida stopped again. “You had an uneasy feeling that someone was there watching? Well…” He sighed. What would he say? He looked and saw nobody. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe Yuui but there was no logical explanation. “Do you want me to go back down the basement to check?” He didn’t really want to. He honestly wanted to quickly finished the tour of this house and leave this place as soon as possible.
“No!” Yuui flinched at his own voice being a bit louder than he wanted to be. “No...I’m sorry...I didn’t mean....listen...” This was going to sound so weird to the other. “I don’t mind if you don’t believe me or not but my gut...my soul knows what just happened and that is telling me that we should avoid the basement.” He squeezed the other’s hand. “If anything, you’re the braver out of the two of us.”

“Hello, I had been fine. It is busy at the agency but things had finally started to calm down. How about you at the cafe? How is the business?” Kunikida asked, taking the menu from Yuui’s hand.
“That good to hear.” Yuui nodded as he went over and came back to place a glass of water in front of the other. “Business is up and down though I can’t complain. One customer is better than none.”

“Oh.” Well, the agency was a special place to him so it must have sounded like that to Yuui. “The agency’s job is to solve crimes that the military can’t and also protected innocent civilians. We won’t be able to do that if we are too far away from the city or hidden from everyone.” They have reached a place where Yuui and Kunikida could talk in private. “The men that were after you, I assume you never heard of the Snake Desires gang?”
That made sense. To protect the people, they can’t get to them in time if they were hidden. Somehow, that sounded brave to Yuui and made him smile just a bit. When they were seated, Yuui thought about that group and shook his head. “No. In fact, I have been running for so long, I don’t really stop and ask who are the people that are after me.”

The Cat’s eye cafe. Yep, he was definitely in the right place. Kunikida opened the door and stepped inside. The cafe didn’t look very busy which meant he came in a good time. As he looked around, he noticed Yuui talking to one of the customers.
He decided not to disturb him and sat down by a table nearby.
“Okay, so I’ll leave you to your meal and I hope you enjoy it.” Yuui smiled at the customer before leaving them. He then noticed a familiar face as he brightened up.
“Ah, hello again.” Yuui smiled as he went up to the other as he had a menu on hand. “And how have you been?”

He stopped when Yuui suggested that they might not be alone. Just thinking of there may be a chance that a person or a ghost was here with them….no there was no such thing as ghosts and nobody was here with them. However, he needed to check to make sure. He looked around using his flashlight again, checking if there was someone with them. However, he saw nobody.
“I don’t see anyone. It could be that this room is too dark and you might be seeing things.”
If they continued to stay here any longer, he might be seeing things soon too.
“Lets just go.”
They left the basement and was back on the first floor again.
Yuui bit his lip. It wasn’t as if he wanted to argue with the other about that. He can’t very well see anything either but that feeling. That feeling was so strong and grounded that he couldn’t help but believe it. He also known that Kunikida was a logical person; that there is a reason for anything.
Still, in the core of Yuui’s soul, he knew that there are some things that can’t be explained away with logic. Sometimes things happen because they do. He can chalk it up for being it too dark but the problem was...
“The feeling I had of someone with us made my stomach turn, you know.” Yuui softly stated. “I know it doesn’t make sense but....”

“Something else? What were you expecting?” Kunikida asked as he left his car. They went into the building and into the elevator as it goes up to their floor. They walked to the office as Kunikida opened the door and walked in.
“I-I’m not sure.” Yuui admitted. “You talk about the agency as if it was...amazing. It really is but I assumed it was in some hidden place away from everyone...” He was trailing behind the other.
