Hazbin Hotel Episode 1: Overture

hello i am back with a New Update on things to react to, and i thought Hazbin Hotel would be the perfect place to start since all episodes were fully released a few days ago! and also EVERYBODY i know has been bugging me about watching this show and now i FINALLY have the time to!!

wow barely a few seconds in and i can already tell that the music is gonna be So Banger

wow okay so the opening exposition is Super Interesting

just wanna say the animation is also Fantastic in this section but ooh the lore drops

i really love the way the angels are stylized here, and how its all in black and white with accents of gold (except Lucifer who has a very light red gradient in his wings)

and also its the way that More color is brought on screen by Lucifer only oooh

oohh and the way that red gradient turns gray when the angels are like, disapproving of his ideas

its So Funny how Adam fumbled his first wife So Hard that she ran away and fell in love with someone else then his second wife got convinced by the First Wife and Her New Love LMFAOO

MAN this makes me feel SO Bad for Lucifer and i feel Conflicted as someone raised christian but like. i feel bad for him they do say that the road to hell was paved with good intentions

also Lilith thriving on the evil stuff like you Go Girlboss

Welcome Home: Instruction (??) Update

we're back with another Welcome Home post yay!!! so context for the title, what do i mean by 'instruction'?

a little while ago, after the Halloween update, i checked in on the Welcome Home website to see if the Christmas update has come

it hasnt and there still isnt any Christmassy things on the site bUT it doesnt mean there's nothing new! when i first checked there were 4 instructions left around the site, but since those were the only changes i didnt make a new post

however!! there is now new things regarding those instructions!!! and i will be exploring those today!!! im excited

now before this new update, there were 4 seemingly random instructions left around the site

on the main page in the 'Website Updates' section, was a single sentence "Write Hello."

on Sally's section of The Neighborhood page, there was a sentence above her picture "Reverse this image of Sally."

on the stickers page, there was a sentence above the neighbors section "Write "OK.""

and last but not least, there was a sentence at the very top of The Playfellow Exhibition page "Turn The Playfellow Exhibition upside down."

these were the only changes left on the site, and at first i thought it was something that we, the viewers/audience, were supposed to do

like to turn the exhibition upside down, maybe they meant to access the staff-only version of it? there IS a thing at the bottom of that page that says 'its in here' only for it to lead to nowhere

and maybe we're supposed to write 'hello' and 'ok' on the password entry ? since its the only place where you can write anything on the site (because the guestbook is closed) (i did try that but it didnt work)

and for reversing the image of Sally, some people have tried like, reversing it horizontally or color-reversing it which makes her blue and could be a connection to the possible 'nighttime' version of her

but with this new update!! its clear that the instructions werent meant for us, they were meant for Wally!

it doesnt lead to anything unlike the bug videos or the audio doodles, but still! an interesting revelation that the instructions werent meant for us at all!

lets check out the rest of them!

now THIS is very interesting

also since it cant be seen clearly, when you hover your mouse over the image (or open the image to see the tab title), a line of text says 'I did not understand you. Does this help you?'

i wonder if Wally knows who it is thats leaving these messages? or if he's just like 'ah someone wants me to do something, i should help them' or smth???

i think its funny that no one quite understands what they mean by 'reverse this image' but this is an interesting interpretation! literally showing the backside of the drawing

since i cant really figure out how this is supposed to help lets move on to the next instruction

wow Wally has made a mess of things but like i like how he used the stickers to spell out 'OK'

since its probably not clear, but the text says 'I did not write it. I did something else. I know who these neighbors are. Do you like them too?'

well now im REALLY interested to see how the exhibition page looks, since it said to 'turn it upside down' how will Wally accomplish that, i wonder

he took that very literally it seems all instances of the phrase 'The Playfellow Exhibition' has been turned upside down, cute also hey look! a Christmas thing!

ooh the text is very interesting!

it says 'I did not know what to do. I think I am correct. Is it Homewarming where you are? Happy Homewarming.'

hmm based on the way its capitalized and the Christmas tree, 'Homewarming' is probably the equivalent of Christmas in their world, like how they dont have Valentine's Day but they have Mail-In-Time Day and its not Halloween its the Macabre Menagerie of Monstrous Mischief Making

hmm but that seems to be the only Christmas/Homewarming thing on the site

there is no other instruction or change to the site as far as i can see, and all thats left is to speculate the purpose of these changes

who gave these instructions to Wally? what are they trying to accomplish by doing these things? will there be more on this Homewarming holiday?

i have no idea what the answer to these questions are but wow!! very interesting

Dead Plate (Part 2)

OK so its been a month since the last time ive played Dead Plate and uhh oops!! my bad !!

in my defense life has gotten very busy for me especially since its the holidays but now i finally have the time to finish this game and get at least one ending!! (hopefully)

spoilers under the cut

back to day 5 where i struggled so incredibly hard

the amount of times ive played through day 4's nightmare sequence is killing me

bro. how do i pass this level without losing a customer

NOOO I WAS SO CLOSE WHYYY. PLEASE. literally i was doing so well but i took too long for the 4 table orders ugh <//3

i wish you could see like, a patience meter for the customers or something

maybe i should try using the item that slows down how impatient they get

YESSS FINALLY!!! I DID IT I FINALLY DID IT!!

what is that weird squelching sound.

still here even though the shift is over and the sounds i am hearing are concerning to say the least

what if... i just leave ok i cant leave

boss's office? also i just noticed the timer ticking down uhh

also lots of interesting things in that office

anyways its telling me the sounds are coming from the freezer but idk where to go from here

yk an interesting thing that was introduced in the tutorial that i havent experienced yet is the customers asking questions

ok its day 3 now and i have to take out the trash to activate the cutscene

ok went through that whole baffling ordeal of getting slapped

also!! i chatted with Vince on day 3 and like. idk their chats are just funny to me

also like there might be something wrong with me but i am lowkey shipping Rody and Vincent together kadjlksd this is something that happened in Elevator Hitch where i started lowkey shipping the two main characters oopsies

anyways!! moving swiftly onwards!!

um. my guy disappeared after i checked the fridge

ok so interestingly when Rody asked Vince if he liked his job, he didnt answer the question he just changed the subject and made fun of Rody LOL

the 'can you give me a raise' question gives some more details on Manon and what Rody thinks of her (he is a grade A simp bro)

the 'are you single' question is interesting to me just bc Rody the simp has issues w Vince being like 'meh' on romance and tbh im with Vince on romance not being the end-all-be-all

something i didnt mention earlier but i noticed that there was a grilled hanger steak on the table, which is the dish when you get ending 1 would the other dishes i got in past endings show up when i got them? but i got ending 2 and the dish from that didnt show up so maybe its just a little detail for ending 1 wait was the steak made out of Manon. oh boy that makes that ending a lil more fucked up

ok going back to the chase sequence

well, thats the end of my playthrough on Dead Plate

honestly, it was a very fun and enjoyable game! i liked the serving aspect even tho i kinda sucked at it and like i also really liked Rody and Vince despite all that just happened those two are seriously fucked up and i love them LOLOL

the music was really good and made up for having to redo day 5 over and over again alskdjh i was jamming most of the time to the music the art was also really good! i liked how cute the pixel sprites were, and then like the art for the portraits and CGs and everything was also really good! i really enjoyed the art style and music

the story was interesting, and i liked it too the twist was wild and blew my mind but i am still a massive fan of Vincent x Rody JKDAHSDKJ

i like how there was a cannibalism twist but Vincent wasnt actually like, an actual cannibal he was just insane and planning on making Rody an unknowing cannibal

i know he ate Rody's ear but like. he said that he doesnt eat people on the regular so yk he's just fucked up

also its really funny reading all the comments and seeing a lot of Vincent x Rody stuff LMFAOOO so true of everybody honestly

HELP I FOUND A COMMENT THAT SAID THEY NOTICED EVERY PIC WITH VINCE IN IT (on the store page) HAS HIM LOOKING AT RODY LDSJHSFLSDKN THE SHIP IS SO REAL!!!

ok sorry enough of that

overall, 10/10 would play again solely for the server gameplay (would be cool to have a kind of endless mode where you just serve customers until one leaves or something) and also because i love these characters

Dead Plate (Part 1)

hello!! its been a while since ive posted but here i am!!! so this game is Dead Plate created by STUDIO INVESTIGRAVE

i had played one of their games before, Elevator Hitch, and i really really enjoyed it! so im very excited for this new game that theyve released

though, this game is probably really different from Elevator Hitch, because that game was a visual novel type of game while this one has restaurant tycoon gameplay

still, im very excited

i hope i can get all the endings today (but probably not) as always, spoilers under the cut!

i know its literally just the title screen BUT it looks very classy

also the music? its a bop like yo BellKalengar is the composer and sound designer and like yo!! amazing job its literally just the title screen and im amazed already LMFAO

alright then lets begin

lolol i like the way they named the buttons for doing the tutorial, skipping the tutorial or just leaving the game on auto progress time to show up at 5 am then

the art is really cute these characters are really cute too esp the protag

i know its just the tutorial but i am very nervous LOL doing service jobs make me nervous (even tho this is only a fictional one)

bro protag why did u skim the interview thing 😭 is that why u've had 28 jobs in 7 years 💀

ooh interesting the cooks have an order in which they cook meals i need to remember that

wow so theres a lot to do huh theres seating the customers, taking their orders, bringing those orders to the kitchen, serving the food, going to the cash register to take their payments, cleaning up the tables AND throwing out the trash its a lot more than i was expecting,,,, lol good luck to me i guess

so like fun fact im actually not that good at playing games LOL esp this kind of game where theres like people and they have like a happy meter kind of thing going on i wonder if any of the endings will be tied to how well we do during the work day ?? probably

also can i just say that the music is really good i like the kinda jazzy (is that the right word??) vibes going on

it makes me less nervous about serving customers since its very chill LOL

I HAVE NO IDEA IF WE HAVE TO-GO BOXES OR WHATEVR WHAT HUH ?????

there is a right answer and i have no idea what it is im gonna lose my mind please. ok well lets pick an answer

im gonna go 'no' since the restaurant has a strict menu that changes daily right? so maybe they wouldnt do to-go boxes or ordering ahead and stuff (RIGHT???)

LOL the banter between the protag and the tutorial guy (i dont know his name)

ohhh so this is where i buy items ok aight

and this catalogue is how our protag knew about the job for a waiter it also has an interview with our boss (Chef Vincent Charbonneau, i finally know his name) about the low number of employees i was wondering why we were the only waiter in the restaurant and i guess thats why

ok i bought the rollerskates cuz i need to be faster for the customers

well hey would you look at that !! the website got updated for Halloween!! very very excited for what new stuff we've got this time

(also yes i know this update came out a while ago i just didnt have the time to check it out until now ok !?!?!? its been weighing on my mind since i found out about the update)

the video started with the usual static that the other bug videos had, and the transcript says 'The camera (?)' so its safe to assume that this is from Wally's perspective

ok uh the video and audio started distorting um.

OH I JUST NOTICED THAT THE CARAMEL APPLE STARTED MOVING

zooms in randomly on the caramel apples in the shape of the characters

i think thats a Wally one behind the Howdy(??) one

a bite was taken out of the apple and no one was shown to have grabbed or bitten it so. i think this is canonical confirmation of Wally's weird thing where he stares at a food, blinks, and then theres a bite taken outta it cuz thats how he eats i guess??

hmm the transcript is a little interesting too, but i might just be reading too much into it

wait ok so i went back to the distorted part and i thought it was weird that if the perspective WAS Wally, then why is the camera not looking at the apple?

and it might just be the video distortion but it looks like it blinks and after that the apple has a bite taken out of it

but thats obviously not Wally so maybe its more of a hint of whats really happened for anybody who doesnt know Wally bites with his eyes

HELLO I JUST LOGGED INTO SKY TO DO MY DAILIES N THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT REMINDED ME OF SEASON OF REVIVAL BEING OUT

Welcome Home (Part 6)

ok so this has been going on for much longer than i thought it would (i started making this post in july, its september now, so i might not remember stuff from before bc its been so long)

now that i have some free time, i can finally continue and hopefully finish this

anyways i decided i was gonna organize all the secret stuff ive found so far by making tab groups

which was the BEST decision i made because it made me go back to old links (the askew letter stuff) and i have found NEW stuff !! on the old stuff !!

all of that and more under the cut

so first off

bug spotted !! i got scared seeing it LOL

an animation doodle !!

so lets start with the bug video

ok so until the end i was so confused what the hell i was looking at, and im pretty sure that its paint

what the painting's supposed to be, ive got no idea but very fascinating

this bug video was Barnaby recounting the day's events to Home, most of those events being other bug videos

also !! i copied the link of this bug video and noticed it ended in '14-14-bh'

i checked the other bug video links and they're all similar !! which means there's 14 of these videos and hopefully ive found them all (i will be re-organizing this so that its in order)

also i think the last two letters are the first letters in the names of whichever neighbors are talking in the videos

ok ive ordered them and i am missing videos 13, 7, and 3! so there's only 3 more bugs for me to find !! hopefully i didnt miss any in past searching (but i will probably double-check if by the end im still missing some videos)

next up is the doodle audio

so this one is titled 'way' and its Wally asking why cant he hear us, and it ends with him saying 'let me in'

im not sure how many of these audios there are, but im sure they all amount to one giant message and i just need to find all the pieces and put them in the right order

the last one, 'Neighbor', is in morse code tho but idk if i want to try and decode it myself or just search up the answer lol

ok i have no idea how to translate the audio into the dots and dashes so i will just look up the answer

so i have not found any answers LOL maybe i'll try my hand at translating it myself again some other time

well!!! this is the end !! i have seen and gone through literally everything !! (well i hope i have because i will lose my mind if i missed anything else)

its the end of this series !! for now at least

will definitely come back when there's a new update, but maybe i'll post something about all my theories in the future

i am finally watching the miraculous movie !! ive heard a lot from tumblr and my friends so its about time i actually watch it LOL (also watching this w my mom bc she was watching the quiet place, said she wasnt ready for it then was like ‘lets watch that movie version of miraculous’ LMAO)

i think that TGC putting this month's TS in Prairie Peaks is really really cool! I think it's also fun how they're doing their own stuff too! I followed Cackling Cannoneer and Hiking Grouch race up a slope on one of the mountains

i like how it also incorporated their emotes too! Cannoneer cackled when they won the race while Hiking Grouch was well,, grouchy that they lost LOL

part 4 !! gonna finish going through the site and work out all the secrets (hopefully)

ok so i was going through and re-opening all the secrets and !! i was showing my brother the 'You' page from The Neighborhood, talking about how i couldnt believe i missed this the first time i went on The Neighborhood

then i went to the so below page wondering 'hmm is this different' cuz i know i looked at it last time but i only really glanced at it and gUESS WHAT

spiral. a spiral got drawn in and im so mad i didnt wait the first time but its ok! i found it now

OH!! THE RECORD IS SHAKING !!! so this is important definitely

no Wally BUT it is a series of sounds that must have come from Home because thats the only character who cant talk and is said to communicate through sounds

also im pretty sure that its morse code but i have no idea how to transcribe it so,,,, i might try later or just find the answers somewhere else LOL

the sounds in question are clicks and squeaks, so im pretty sure the clicks are dots and the squeaks are dashes
